Great gift idea

I bought one of these for a friend who was leaving his job and moving away. I know that he buys stuff from Amazon so decided to give him one of these gift vouchers with a leaving card.

I was able to buy this gift voucher, print out and place in a card in less than 5 minutes. Can't knock it!

Purchased fraudulently after account hacked. In my honest opinion I think there should be much more stringent security checks when a person attempts to buy printable vouchers of any denominations. The only reason why a second voucher wasn't purchased is because there was physically no money left on my credit card. God only knows how far they would have gone had there been more available funds on my credit card. I waited beyond the amount of time for a call back from customer services and the matter was only resolved when you wanted to take another payment for my Amazon Prime. ( which I haven't been able to use for over a week )
All in all I'm less than satisfied with the service and Amazon. The unessesery anxiety has left me with sleepless nights for the last week and I'm seriously considering completely moving my business elsewhere at this moment in time.

The printable gift voucher is a perfect solution to the increasingly common problem of what to give as a wedding present when friends and family who have been shacked up for years and even raised children together finally decide to the the knot in their middle/layer years. What on earth do you buy them? They have everything already! This is a great solution. Many couples don't want boxed gifts, so give them a voucher which they can use as they please.

Obviously a voucher is a voucher. It transfers the cash value to the receiver - not much to be said there. However, since thesewill inevitably be a gift, I would like to see more inspired designs. It is necessary to put this inside a proper card in order to make it presentable as a gift

Really Poor Customer Service

I am surprised to have received really poor customer service from Amazon. Had to hang up on 3 representatives as they were not understanding what I was saying. The first lady could not tell the difference between our company name 'John Charcol' & our street address '123 Houndsditch,' delaying the verification process. Then my boss had to spend nearly 15 minutes spelling out his email address, which your representatives could not understand. Also takes forever for Amazon to authorise payment and then be able to print the vouchers off. Will be looking for alternatives.

Handy way to give a present

I used the printable voucher to give birthday presents to my younger cousins who live some distance away. Just included them with their birday cards. They were much appreciated as they could get something they really wanted. The printing and folding was not immediately intuitive, but I soon got the hang of it it looked right when finished.

Getting started is always a problem. I'm never quite sure that I will achieve what I set out to achieve i.e a two-fold card with my image in the right place and the words correct. The problem seems to be associated with the choice of card type , e.g. birthday , plain old gift voucher, or something else. Then the waiting for the PDF file to arrive which seems to involve an additional step of going back into Amazon website to find the download file. Why can't it just arrive? I think it always used to. Is it a security issue?
I agree with this comment written by someone else and is my experience, the whole process seems to have become more complicated and drawn out. GJohnB

I've used Amazon gift vouchers in the past successfully when sending in an email or ordering a gift card. This experience of printing from home was very disappointing. A glitch meant the amount was in GBP but the box to order was in US$ (I checked I was definitely in Amazon.co.uk and my signed into that account). My card was declined twice and I was asked to re-enter details (same card re-entered so nothing had changed). I was about to do the order again when I was told previous order had been successful and a pdf arrived without the picture I selected. Since this was for my 8 year old grandson the missing picture is really disappointing! Come on Amazon you can do better than this!

Easy to fold... Almost too easy

I bought this as a gift for someone who is too fussy to bother trying to buy an actual thing for.
Once printed, it was easy to fold, almost too easy.
I think it would be even better value if you could fold it into something more impressive. Maybe a swan, aeroplane, or Amazon robot. Yes, male one that folds into the little robot chap, that would be much better.
I would prefer difficult to fold but more spectacular.

Printing problem

On my whizzy new laptop the voucher appeared really quickly, but it absolutely refused to print properly on one sheet of A4, preferring to appear in four separate pieces in the corners of four individual sheets - it was all there though In the end I had to cobble the four separate pieces together with tape, and sent it like that. I did check with the Help page and was told that I had downloaded the email version, which, as the headline shows, I hadn't. Next time I'll send the email version.
