Nice colour. First coat will be somewhat transparent. Second coat you can apply slightly thicker but, you’ll need four coats to achieve the colour shown evenly. See my photo which was taken after four coats ( it was still patchy on a couple of nails after three!). Lost a star because some (not the no wipe top coat) Bluesky gels are a bit thin for my liking but, out of many I’ve used they’re decent value for money and get the most accurate colour matches when advertising their products, so I don’t waste time ordering something that looks different to the image which I’ve found happens a lot with other brands.

One (signature) nail (4th next to little finger) has glitter polish over the bluesky no wipe top coat.

Wouldn’t recommend for French manicure but, if you’re out of your usual French pink this could pass if applied sparingly so it’s slightly translucent.

Btw if you are leaving a review for bluesky polish, please specify the colour in the headline. I’ve noticed there are lots of different colours reviewed against one blue sky gel polish listing, indicating that the listing description and item being sold changes. Specifying the colour saves confusion and helps people identify the correct colour for them to buy.

Beware wrong picture used!!

Be aware!! wrong product picture used to sell the item, the colour received is totally grey and not pink and looks nothing like in the picture. Also the colour codes in the picture do not match the colour code in the product description e.g 809564 vs 809569

The media could not be loaded.

As a trained nail tech I should have known with pastel colours to buy a builder gel rather than a polish. Pastels are notoriously famous with gel polishes and makeup to have super sheerness. Very difficult for manufacturers to get right. But I feel like if you can't get it right, don't do it and don't sell it. The consistency of the polish was extremely runny and constantly flooded the cuticles, and was super irritating when you had to apply at minimum 4 coats to get any colour pay off. If you lack patience and care, I advise you to take your money and place it into this colour in a builder gel.
Also as you can see out of the ten toes and fingers I did, I had one come off within three days. And this simply is down to the levelling of layering you have to do. If you dont cap every single layer this will happen and when theres 4 plus layers sometimes capping the edge is forgot about.

It's a beautiful colour. However the consistency of this polish is very thin and to achieve solid colour I required to apply 5 coats. But I've been wearing it for 2 weeks now and it lasted really well, no chipping so far. Overall I am happy with this polish.

This is a really funky bright orange neon polish it does need three coats, one of my photos has the bluesky galaxy 08 glitter polish over the top, funky summer colour. As always bluesky polish has great longevity doesn’t chip and last 4 to 6 weeks until you remove it

I'm amazed this product really does last, I used 3 thin coats to reach the desired colour. After wasting money on cheaper branded gel that chips after a few days I decided to buy a couple of Blue sky colours to try. I'm so pleased I did as the photo on the left shows day 1 and photo on the right is day 14 with no chipping in sight and only slight peeling on one of the nails near my cuticle which is to be expected after 2 weeks of wear. I have not been easy on them either, I took my vaccum apart to replace a brush bar, replaced the battery in my car, gardening and lots of washing up and typing on my computer every day. Ready for a colour change and have bought the colour peach nude to try next and about to purchase more colours 😍 💅

*EDITED*
Bought pillar box red colour after I wrote this review. It has now chipped after 4 days on various nails. Doesn't have the same staying power as the musty pink colour had.

I have used the Bluesky Gel polishes for a few years now and I have allways been happy with the quality but I must say 3/4 of the moast recent colours I have brought have needed at least three coats and still a bit patchy in places 😑 still looks good but I have had to mess about with it a bit more to get it right. Has something changed?!

I normally rave about Bluesky gel polishes and I was really looking forward to going for a summery look with Mint Humbug. The colour is gorgeous, but the consistency of the gel polish itself is much thinner than all my other Bluesky gels and it's really lacking opacity. It's so sheer that I've had to do 4 coats of colour to achieve an opaque colour, and even then I could probably have done with a 5th coat as the colour still has patches of slight sheerness in the daylight. So - top marks for the shade itself, but below average formula.

Absolutely love Bluesky and have been using it for a number of years now and built up quite a collection of colours. Always hard-wearing; I generally get 2 weeks before I get bored and fancy a change of colour, and can re-do the occasional chipped nail without re-doing the whole set.

This colour is my latest purchase, and is my new favourite! A beautiful lavender colour, which is bright without being neon, and pastel without being pale. Absolutely perfect for the summer, and looks lovely partnered with a bit of silver glitter!

Very very happy with this colour and will try and add a photo. If you're thinking about getting it, I urge you to, you won't be disappointed!!
