Lovely nail polish. I might go for a little more natural hue next time. This goes a little bit more towards the white side, I prefer more towards pink. Like a whitish/pink or French manicure pink. But nothing is wrong with this article.

The worst nail varnish I have ever bought. I have an old ballet slipper and loved it so bought a new one. You can see the difference in colour from the picture and also the texture and coverage is no way near the same as the older version. Very disappointed. Don’t waste your money like I feel I have

I’ve used essie nail varnish before and never experienced this. I’m certain it’s either fake or been tampered with as not only did it come not in the wrapping/seal, it is hardly a nail varnish at all. The consistency is so thin it drips like skimmed milk levels (I tested it against my almond milk and the almond milk was wayyyy thicker) It takes a good 3 coats to get anything close to full coverage. If you put you hand up vertically whilst your nails are drying, the varnish starts to fall down onto your cuticles, even 3-4 mins after application. When putting it on it doesn’t layer well so there’s blotchy sections where the varnish simply hasn’t spread at all. Then there’s the drying; 5 hours after applying it I picked up a jar and it left dents in the nail varnish on my index finger. I then checked using my nail lightly and same again. It still wasn’t completely dry after all that time and therefore can definitely not be used without a topcoat. Saying that however, there are also oxidisation bubbles on a couple of nails from the drying process. I hate to complain on here but I feel like i’ve either been totally scammed or Essie has really gone down the drain in the past year.

Really disappointed. My friend recommended this polish and colour and showed me hers and her daughter’s nails. Her daughter had one coat which gave a lovely pearly pink and my friend had two coats which gave a lovely, solid, baby pink. My polish was awful. Chalky, impossible to apply and needed three coats to give anything approaching even coverage. Is this a fake???

ordered 17 Muchi Muchi baby pink. I wanted a very pale pink and the product I received is very different to what is advertised. I am sick of wasting my time returning items that don't meet the description.

Update: increased from 1 star to 3 stars. The product is not what I was hoping to get (it's a darker shade of pink), but it is very nice.

Gorgeous essie quality as usual. I purchased the shade Licorice as I had ran out of all my more expensive nail polishes so wanted to treat myself as I wear black often. This doesn't disappoint! 2 coats and one top coat and it's perfect. Excellent value for money as these are normally £10+ in high Street stores. I love essies brush, too. It applied like a dream ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I've just gone back to order Ballet Slippers, too!

Four coats of Essie 'Blanc' was needed to provide toenails with a solid white streak free finish, but patience and perseverance remained worthwhile.

While the images don't show, depending upon lighting conditions and how it catches, toenails do appear glossy to the naked eye. Set against tanned skin, however, the contrast is undeniably superb.

As a long-time user of Essie polishes, and one who regularly runs barefoot with their colours adorning my nails, I cannot fault their longevity as nails still look good for up to 7 days after application.

I purchased a few of these Essie nail varnishes in the past and they have all matched the colours shown on the listing. Today, my newest one has arrived - 252 Maximillian Strasse-Her Sage. I expected a slightly pastel shade of green, nice for the summer months and a refreshment from my usual reds and burgundies. When the varnish arrived, I initially thought I was sent the wrong product. This one is actually GREY in real life. I have no idea how it could be promoted as being sage green, but I doubt they know what green even looks like. Wish I had the energy to return it but it was only £3 so that's way too much hassle. I would recommend the other colours (albeit they don't really stay on for too long and chip away after just a couple of days), but stay away from number 252 - unless a pale muted grey is your thing.

Simply cannot express how superbly rich and glossy Essie 'Licorice' appears upon nails. Although nails did receive two coats, if time is short, a single layer certainly provides a similarly impressive finish.

Worn for 4 days before removal (I like my nails to breathe between coats) and 'Licorice' still remained as fresh as it did following initial application, despite much outdoor barefoot endeavour.

Removal was also effortless, with no unsightly staining of nails or cuticles.
