Better than I thought

I bought this for my cat who seems to enjoy spreading her cat litter all across the floor and laughing when we stand on it in our bare feet!! I was a bit skeptical at first but I've been using it for over a week now and I'm impressed. There are still the odd few bits of her litter on the floor but nothing like before. I think the feel of the mat under her feet puts her off (very fussy, precious cat) so she doesn't stay there for long after she has used her tray. It looks neat under the tray and blends in with my flooring - so a winner for me.

Durable but has it's drawbacks

This is quite a hard mat to rate. It is very sturdy and durable and it can be cleaned fairly easily. However due to the design of the woven plastic fibres which are supposed to trap all the litter/dirt, this also means the dirt can be difficult to get out. We have this underneath the litter tray and although it is hung out regularly, it can also tend to hold smells which is not ideal. Probably better for underneath cat bowls or as an inside door mat.

For various reasons I had to buy some cheap, clumping litter from a supermarket rather than my usual brand. My elderly cat managed to track this stuff absolutely everywhere in surprising quantity so I found this on prime and ordered it. Some were really expensive and as I thought I would only need it short term, this particular mat seemed reasonably priced. It worked a treat, only small amounts of the cheap litter were not picked up as my cat walked across it. Even though I have now gone back to using my usual brand (world's best cat litter} which my cat doesn't really track, I have kept the mat in place across the door as it does a good job of trapping stuff from our shoes as well as the small amount of litter on the cat's paws.

The non-slip waterproof litter box mat is absolutely brilliant. I have an indoor cat plus 5 kittens all using the litter box, I used to put newspapers underneath the litter box to try and prevent the cat litter pieces from being scattered around the area but it would usually end up everywhere and the newspaper would be torn to bits by the kittens. The mat not only protects the kitchen floor but it actually traps any stray pieces of litter from leaving the immediate area. Now the litter box area is much more clean tiny and hygienic. Can't believe i didn't buy this sooner.

This is large enough to go under the litter tray (In case of leaks) and still leave enough around the entrance etc to catch any stray litter. It has a sticky type underside so holds firm to the carpet/floor. With a cream carpet and white cat litter, the grey mat we bought shows how much litter your cat can traipse out of the tray without you realising. As it was packed folded, there are ridge lines in it which still haven’t come out a few days later, maybe rolling it would prevent this. Altogether a well made mat.

Bought to stop the spreading of cat litter on new wooden floor. Works pretty well, way less litter on actual floor, doesn't slide about & looks quite smart. Easy to hoover or take outside to shake. My only reason for just the 4 stars is that it arrives folded & even after a couple of weeks laid flat & used the creases are still there which spoils the look a bit. Despite that, still a good litter catcher so would recommend.

I wanted something to protect the wooden floor from cat litter, but also my cat's sometimes wet paws when he gets out the tray. As you can see from the picture, there is still a fair amount of litter on the carpet but most of it is on the mat. I periodically pick it up and tip the litter into the tray and this gets ride of most of it very easily. I also take it outside to give it a shake and a hose down every so often. I haven't yet tried anything more intensive than that, but it looked clean enough. It's not technically absorbent, but I hope any moisture sticks to it before he reaches the wood! The creases are still present, which is a shame, but they do not affect function.

I bought mine to place at the entrance to the litter tray, kitten doesn't seem to mind standing on it and it does trap the majority of the litter from the tray, ok you still get the odd bit of litter but most is trapped on the mat, any of the mat can be shaken off into the dustbin. All in all a decent sized mat that helps keep the house clean.

OK, this seems to do what it says on the tin. My reservation - and this is personal to me - is that its texture comes perilously close to triggering my Trypophobia (irrational fear of lumpy and bumpy surfaces - lots of examples on the internet). So take a good hard look at the image before you decide to buy, as it may creep you out.

Came with unknown loose dry food

The parcel arrived and the bags the litter mats were in had unknown dried food inside which spilled over the floor. I have no idea what the food was and it could’ve been dangerous for my animals to have ate this food since I have no idea what it was. Will wash the mats and hopefully they will work well but just be aware.
