3.0 out of 5 starsTake apart/put together dinosaur with added sound and light

Priced at £12.99 at the time of this Amazon Vine review, you receive one take apart/put together dinosaur in a decorated cardboard box, which although not ideal for gifting could suffice. There are three dinosaurs available (only one in this particular listing) and I chose the Brachiosaurus.
The box contains the plastic pieces to make a Brachiosaurus. The pieces are all in a clear non-resealable bags. There is a small instruction sheet on how to put all three dinosaurs together so you need to locate the correct one on the sheet.
The instructions are not detailed so it is a case of using your common sense to click the pieces together and screw in the screws (few extra provided than are needed but this is useful to replace lost ones) with the provided screwdriver.
The pieces do click together well and in fact, this might be an issue if you want to take it apart to rebuild again. I am not certain how much pressure you can safely apply and I was careful but a young child is unlikely to be.
I did come across one issue when constructing. I was missing half of the 'helmet' for the 'mecha' version; I had two identical pieces rather than one for one side of the head and another for the other. Also, please be aware that this does come with two plastic guns, which I will not be including when I give this to a child; this is a personal preference so you might be happy with this aspect of the design.
Of course, the unique selling point of this dinosaur toy is that you can make the standard version or add a few extra parts to make the 'mecha' version. It is the latter that features the LED light and sound (roaring).
The current price point does not seems too bad for a small gift or stocking filler for a dinosaur mad child, but I think there are similar options on the market for a few less pounds.
It's also a STEM toy as you have to employ building and problem solving skills when putting together and dismantling this toy. The overall quality is good, although I do have concerns how it would last with constant putting together/taking apart from a less than careful child, but I am happy to recommend at the current price point.
