Big difference between no. 2 and 3s.

I love Mam teats. Mine have never rejected a mam bottle/ teat. My review is about fast flow teats only. My 6 months old was on no. 2 (M) for 3 months so i thought it time she moved up a number so that we where progressing. Well the no. 3 certainly did let her drink in half the time! But it was too much of a change for her. Id advise getting one packet and trying it b4 buying one for all your bottles. Ive gone back to no. 2s for now and will revisit in a few weeks and see if she's ready.....

Too fast for my breastfed baby

I had the No 1 teat which my son found frustrating as he couldn’t get enough milk. He is 7 months so I realised he should have a higher flow teat. Got this and it’s pooring out of his mouth. He is breastfed but has 1 bottle a day. I’m assuming due to his good suction he sucks too hard on the fast flow test? Either way I need to look for something else.

My baby would drown and gag at the TT bottles and teats until we switched to MAM and she took to it like a magnet. The size 0 teat was perfect for her in the beginning as it allowed her to control her sucking well. I may be very mistaken but I think only MAM offers these size 0 teats as TT and the other brands started straight on size 1s which wasn't ideal. Overall, I highly recommend!

Our little girl is feeding very well from the MAM bottles, much less air being swallowed. The flow on size 2 teats is quite fast when compared to the size 1. I would say if your little one is feeding well on the size 1 then stick with it as the 2 will have them struggling to keep up with the amount of milk. If you’re using comfort formula then 100% go for a size 2 teat as the thicker formula flows perfectly.

Well we decided to get these as our 3mo lo is well on her 6oz feeds now, and since being a ganet from birth (her first feed was a 4oz) we decided to get these no2 teats to help her at meal time.

First of all I noticed what appears to be an excess of grease coating the teats, after washing them by hand 3 times and then a good boil, eventually the grease came off (this was the same on both packets we purchased)

Now as I have zero intention of personally sucking formula through these teats, I cannot pass judgment on how effective they are compared to the size 1 teats, but what I can tell you is that our lo is now drinking her milk 1/3 quicker than before, taking a 20 minute feed to about 12 minutes.

So far so good, just a shame the factory don't QA the cleanliness a bit more before selling them

Our daughter was born with Down Syndrome in October and struggled to feed with the hospital teats because her mouth is small. These mam teats are perfectly shaped to fit in her mouth so she can feed easier. Other mums in the special care baby unit also swore by these. Worth every penny.

Easily fit into the bottles, nicely clear and crisp look when using new teats are way too fast with standard baby milk. Just perfect with baby anti reflux milk but my baby can't handle the flow too well while using standard milk. I would suggest using the first teat age until 12-16 months.

My daughter has Laryngomalacia and had been put on thickener to have in her milk because mam 1 was still too fast for her, now at 4.5 months the thickener has caused her to have the most awful constipation so we ditched it and opted for the newborn size 0 teats, I am beyond happy with these they are smaller in teat size to the size 1 and up but she's coping with the change and the smaller hole in the top means she doesn't choke and no longer needs thickener.
Brilliant product that I don't think many manufacturers if any make a size 0 I will be buying more for my next baby to use from birth, I just wish I'd known of these sooner and saved my lil girl all the trouble the last couple of months

My granddaughter was struggling with the fast flow of stage 1 Tommy Tippee teats & this was the only brand that I could find that did stage 0. Since using them my granddaughter is much happier when bottle feeding & there is no more gulping or milk dribbling down her chin. They seems to enable her to mimic her breastfeeding pattern well by allowing her to pause as needed & to take her time with feeding (she has EBM in them). I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others & I was so happy with them I bought a second set.

Why such a huge jump between 2 and 3?!

My son is 5 months old. Started on size 1, needed a faster flow so moved onto size 2. Was a nice transition. Has started getting frustrated by the size 2 now as he is on 7oz feeds and takes forever so felt like the right time to move up to size 3. Says from 4 months+. They are such a massive leap in flow though they made him choke and cry! Had to stop and change back to the size 2 mid feed. Couldn't even manage 1 feed with these. Really need something inbetween as the size 2 is too slow now but size 3 chokes him?!
