Just what I needed

Let me start by saying I use the internet A LOT. I almost always have youtube or twitch streaming content to my pc and frequently download games, whats important here is my pc doesn't get much of a break . When my wifi broke I first bought a little button adaptor and it overheated badly, it was so bad I actually burnt myself trying to take it out my pc.

This though, this has been brilliant. It was plug and play, it's design keeps it cool even under stress, & it gets me a solid connection even through walls. It's everything I needed it to be.

I won't lie, I don't understand half the stuff written on the box but after a few weeks of use this product has kept up with everything I have thrown at it.

Short Story:
It works, it will give you very basic wifi in about 2 minutes out of the box with no need to download or install anything on windows 10.

HOWEVER, that basic wifi is 10 TIMES SLOWER than all the other wifi devices I've tested in the same room.

It works but it is very slow, and ultimately does not grant the speeds or specification that it advertises on the packet.

Long Story:
So I wanted to use this to connect my Desktop Gaming PC to the Router that is in the other room.

Using Google Speed test for the wifi speed
My Phone gets: 203 mb/s Download
This usb wifi adaptor gets: 33 mb/s Download

And that is testing them one after the other while they are right next to each other.
The wifi adaptor was originally getting about 13 mb/s but after using a USB extender and placing it high above my desk rather than under it, I could get up the 33 mb/s.

Installed in a couple of minutes. Very simple, used the mini CD provided, ran setup, plugged in the dongle and it worked right away, and very well! My laptop built in WiFi had issues, kept dropping off every 30 seconds. No new drivers for it, so decided to install this USB dongle. Glad I did and would recommend this product. Can't speak for its longevity yet as I only had it for a couple of weeks, but so far, I'm very impressed.

Do not buy this item under any circumstances. It comes with a micro cd to download a driver. How many people have cd drives these days? Once you download the drivers from a dodgy google drive link they send you they do not work. Eventually the dongle started to work and the internet speed was slower than previous and now it has crashed all my internal WiFi drivers so I can’t even use my previous dongle. Usual story - buy cheap, but twice. I don’t even know how Amazon allow this cheap junk to be sold of their platform.

Have a older but still capable laptop that came only with legacy 2.4GHz connection. Add to the fact that the wireless card inside is not the best to pick up signals anyways adds to it. My router is downstairs through about 5 walls with door closed so with that was averaging 10 mbps connection to a 100 mbps package.

With this, perfect. Plug and play with windows 10, no faffing with cd or downloading drivers, recognised instantly. Put the wireless stick onto a usb 3.0 extension cable and worked no issue. ( As device can block other usb ports right next to it). 100 mbps connection, no drops and no fuss. Exactly what I needed.

This product has disappointed me greatly. I had high expectations after reading the Amazon reviews. Unfortunately, this internet dongle does not meet my expectations. Despite the product's claims of "Performance to reduce freezing and lags when streaming and gaming," the dongle failed to meet my basic requirements. I often had a YouTube video playing in the background while viewing another website or two, but I still had internet problems. When using the dongle, online gaming became impossible because I was experiencing latency of up to 900ms, which is unacceptable. I'm about 2 metres away from my internet hub, which isn't too far, but the dongle has been having problems. This product is not something I would suggest to anyone. This item will be returned to the seller.

this is a very good Wi-Fi dongle I play lord of the rings online and my desktop dos not have a wi-fi card but I've used this and it was set up in no time. playing the game I did not get any lag or loss of packages and this was in a hi lv raid. so I'm very happy with this as it works as well as when the desktop is wired to the net.

My prebuilt pc came with a poor WiFi card built in couldn’t pick up anything. I have had this dongle for about a week and no dropouts or issues. I’m on windows 10 and I didn’t have to install any drivers and I get full speed consistently.

I also like the size of it as I had a WiFi dongle previously but it had a massive antenna which I would sometimes knock.

Great product does the job perfectly.

Not much manufacturer can do for this, but the dongle is relatively large, and protrudes from the rear of the PC, making it potentially breakable if the PC is pushed back against a wall. I've mounted it on the top USB of mine, as that fits the space - but it looks fragile... probably looks worse than it is, but.

ON THE GOOD - it does what it needs to do, and works better with the Windows default driver, than the actual device driver from the manufacturer, so if you're a windows user, just let it do it's thing, and it'll probably work better for you.

No proper website for device drivers

Had to return this wi fi dongle to Amazon as I was unable to find drivers for it to download. The link for the device drivers given, looks very suspect & my computer didn’t like it. The drivers on the supplied mini disc may work ok, if your computer has a disc drive.
I also didn’t like it that there isn’t a product manufacturers name anywhere on this product or the packaging, so I became suspicious of it straight away.
Definitely would not recommend as a purchase.
