A good, solid case. The texture on the outside is nice and keeps it from slipping easily out of your hands. The colour is vibrant, too!

It was very hard to get into it and, at times, I was worried I'd damage my new iPad, but I got it in. Probably just means it's very secure!

The magnet function in the cover works; can sometimes slip if it's not aligned perfectly, but it's nothing to really complain about. Just a note if you tend to be clumsy.

As good as the competition

I’m a fan of CUVR (not least its exemplary customer service). But my (replacement) CUVR case has failed, as I predicted that it would. I use my iPad in landscape orientation, perilously nestled on my lap. Case manufacturers tend to place (undue?) emphasis on their cases not overly detracting from the lightweight credentials of the iPad. If you only use your iPad on a desk then this review is not for you. But if your iPad is your sofa buddy then read on. This case is less substantial than the CUVR one. But the material from which it is constructed is noticeably more firm. More importantly there is a fold in the base that helps to relieve the stress when the base board is not supported on a flat surface. A similar (somewhat ugly) mould has been used to accommodate a pencil. Unlike the CUVR the placement of the pencil allows for it to be charged (genius, but not rocket science). This is a ‘day one’ review, so time will tell how effective the ‘fold’ may be. I have my doubts. I judge perfectly adequate the ‘fit’ and all of the cut-outs are in the right places - I have a 3rd generation iPad so the over-sized camera space is unwelcome, but not unacceptably so. The aesthetics are adequate, but the materials are not luxurious. It is possible to angle the iPad as desired; but there are distinct positions built into the base board. The CUVR model relies on a velcro-type material that to engender total flexibility; but the material does not last well. In practice this model provides for two (sensible) angles and will permit others (less securely) and does so without resorting to hook and loop material that degrades over time. Overall, this case looks (day one) as value for money and well designed.

I am very happy with the case and hope it lasts the five or so years I intend keeping the ipad. The only small quibble I have is that although the case is generally sturdy and fully covers and protects the ipad (apart from the camera, but covers for the lenses can be bought separately), some parts of the case are a bit bendy.... However I would still recommend this item over many others available, and especially over most of the much cheaper ones...

So the only issue I have is the case sometimes falls down when opened and sat up, also there is no swivel feature to rotate tablet in the case so you can have it at any angle in a 180 degrees access. So when my ipad is charging whilst being watched or played I have to lay in a different position to make it usable.
