Lightweight and a bit flimsy

The wind shield was bought to stop wind for a small camping gas stove. It has 10 sections hinged together which can make a fairly good size windbreak. In my case it will go right around the single burner and leave room for the kettle on top. I don't think it would go right around a two burner stove but it would still help prevent wind blow. It has two small extra length hinge pins which can be pushed into the ground to give a bit more stability. These are at each end of the shield and I would have liked an extra one in the middle. Light weight and cheap enough though

I already have one of these, and it is so useful. Wanted one as a gift. This item was a BIG mistake. It had marker pen on it, as shown, but not listed as recycled. Also covered in grotty black smudgy stuff. A really poor quality bit of kit. Avoid at all costs.

Good that it comes with wires that push down into the ground otherwise I'm sure it would blow over. It needs a little care when unfolding as the hinges are not the best quality. It has obviously been fairly cheaply made by pressing out the individual sections as mine all had sharp edges. I took it all apart (easy to do by removing each hinge-pin) to sand off the edges of each plate so I don't cut myself. 2 stars for quality but that said it does the job, is easy to use and is what I needed so I am happy with it.

I actually use this for protecting the wood in my allotment shed from heat damage when I'm using my Korean style flat butane gas stove inside it. But it is as equally effective when making a brew outside in the sun stopping the wind from dissipating the heat going into the kettle.
The windshield is lightweight and folds flat and compact and i can imagine using it now when i go camping to use around my alpine stove if only to reduce gas use from heat loss.
I believe the pins can be pulled out and the panels reduced in quantity if you don't need the whole length for your cooker/stove.

Bought for camping and can cover only small cooker but very tight which doesn’t give you a room for pot handle or bigger pot. You can secure around the cooker only with provided clip otherwise it doesn’t hold, you cannot not stuck it into cooker side so wind blokes it away I couldn’t use for bigger pot hen locked tight

I brought this to prevent the wind blowing the gas on our converted camper. There is a trick to getting this to balance without falling, however, I expect it wouldn't be an issue if using on the ground. The other issue is the pins fall out as soon as the shield is removed from the bag. I've drawn arrows on the shield so I keep it the right way up to prevent the pins falling out. I would buy again as it does prevent the wind blowing out the gas, just a few niggles but it's a good price.

Went camping, always take the gas stove and like you, struggle with keeping the heat where it should be.

This is a fantastic piece of kit. It's really lightweight, packs away into basically nothing, and makes such a huge difference, you'd be kicking yourself for not having one sooner.

My only issue is the little pegs to stick it into the ground could be stronger and there could be more of them, there's only one on each end, which is fine, but in a strong breeze it's still a little wobbly. A must-have tool for gas-stove campers.

I am using this aluminium wind shield to deflect heat away from an LPG boiler that is inside a small shed. I run the boiler with the door open but the top of the shed was getting very hot, i therefore fixed this wind shield angling the heat out of the shed door rather than straight up towards the roof. It worked very well and the shed roof no longer gets hot. You can feel the heat now coming straight out of the shed door.

I generally don't write reviews, as generally you pay your money and expect the quality to be a direct caparison. This was cheap and reflects in the build.
Yes this is good value for money and the amount of time I'd use it was a deciding factor.
The issue I have with this product is the pressed plates are very sharp on the edges and needed to be sanded so it didn't slice my hands on it.
Just be careful you may have to sand the edges so add this into your considerations when buying this.
