Dangerous- Don't use it.

I have given this 5 stars so that it will be seen. Used it on my large 6 month old dog who, within minutes, became weak and listless, then started throwing up. I showered him thoroughly, and immediately, and shampooed the area with detergent. He started to improve within the hour. I checked online and many people were citing very similar reactions to each other, from what happened to my dog to seizures and long term problems. I am throwing the rest away and staying with natural options. Oh yes, and the chemical used in these products is a carcinogen. Marvellous!

I have always used Frontline in the past if any of my dogs had a tick or fleas so when I found a few fleas on my Chihuahua I bought this.

I followed the instructions but she still carried on itching, I kept using the flea comb on her and even a week later there were still live fleas on her.

I went to the vets and got Advocate (prescription treatment) which worked and killed the fleas within 24 hours.

I wouldn’t buy Frontline again, either the formula has changed or fleas have evolved, either way I’d spend a few pounds more and get vet prescribed flea and tick treatment.

I don’t use every six weeks, just as and when because I don’t like putting strong chemicals on my dogs. On this occasion I had to put two different sets of chemicals on her because the Frontline did not work.

Great stuff, it works a treat and is essential for ticks in a rural area like this.

Living in Argyll, where ticks are widespread, my dogs frequently picked them up. After many years using prescription only treatments, at relatively high cost, I decided to once again try Frontline. I found it to be completely ineffective against ticks, with engorged ticks being present one week after treatment. I have returned to prescription treatment, using an oral treatment, which has proved wholly effective. I am surprised that the manufacturers feel able to make the claims they do in relation to tick treatment. I can report that many other dog owners I know confirm the ineffectiveness of Frontline against ticks. Maybe fine for fleas, but that is not a problem my dogs experience.

I have been using frontline on my huntaway for many years and have never had a flea problem till now. I thought his constant scratching was due to loose hair but when I gave him an in depth groom I was horrified to find lots of fleas and several ticks. I cannot retreat him due to possible chemical overdose so he has to put up with the discomfort and I will have to keep treating and retreating the house for 2 weeks. I will never buy frontline again.

Easy enough to use and apply but unfortunately had no effect on the fleas. Went to see the vet who prescribed flea tablets but recommended not using them until the Frontline was out of our dogs system. So we had 4 extra weeks of fleas in the house and tried to keep the numbers down with a flea comb and vacumming like maniacs. Fun times!

Bought both the cat and dog version of this to treat 2 cats and 1 dog with all had fleas. After treating all animals we still had an infestation of fleas which we could not get under control.

After purchasing some cans of Indorex we got it under control.

Will definitely be looking after other cat and dog flea treatments after we have used these up.

Do not waste time and money on frontline!!!!!!

I would give no stars but amazon won’t let me......

This product has been effective in killing ticks after nearly three months when the next treatment is recommended.
Our lurcher is into smelling all manner of scents and has had a series of three ticks attach themselves to her ears. The first two ticks each dropped off after two, maybe three days without any attention from us. The third tick was noticed a couple of days before our dog was due at the vets for her annual injection and check-up and while the vet actually took the tick out, the tick failed to grow into a normal bloated body but stayed thin and looked more like a splinter of wood and was clearly on its way before the vet intervened.

Most effective product - got rid of a tick on my dog within less than a day

I found this product to be extremely effective. This situation was as follows:-
On the Thursday I noticed a tiny yellowish ball on my dog's eyelid. At this point it was tiny and I simply thought she had picked up a seed which had attached itself to her. By the next day however, the small ball had grown noticeably and I realised it was a tick. I have a tick remover which I have used on a number of occasions in the past to remove ticks but because this one was on her eyelid I did not want to risk using it. I decided to try Frontline in the hope that this would work. I ordered this on Amazon on the Friday, it arrived on the Saturday and I applied it to my dog's neck on the Saturday afternoon. By the following morning, to me amazement, the tick had gone. Impressive! I had expected to have to take my dog to the vet's to get the tick removed so I have saved myself a vet's bill. I will continue to use this product as I know it works.

Our dog was consistently scratching at fleas and they were visible on his underside so decided to use this as it was a well knows brand so figured it would sort the issue out quickly.
This was used in conjunction with household flea sprays, flea smoke bombs and daily vacuuming but the fleas and scratching continued on the dog.

Sadly the fleas seemed to enjoy being on my dog even more so now that I have used this and it wouldn't surprise me if frontline and tui have a deal selling flea timeshares.

I have been using another product for a few weeks now which seems to have got the problem under reasonable control.

My breeders told me to not waste my money on this utter crap and I wish i listened.

Go to your vets and spend the money on advocate along with detailed household cleaning and be done with the issue...

Frontline will simply allow your house to become an horrible infestation very quickly.
