easy to use, effective and good use by date

I treated my dog with this after I noticed him being unsettled and scratching himself. He doesn't normally have any issues. I went for years without having to treat him.
I was so pleased with this. It is super easy to administer. The instructions are clear and concise. There was no confusion at all.
The treatment comes in small pipettes in a blister pack. You snap the end of the pipette and part your dogs fur on the area between his shoulder blades ( the area where your dog cannot lick it off). You then squeeze out the Frontline directly onto the skin. It is best to apply it at night, last thing, just so it has a chance to be absorbed and you and other humans don't inadvertently give him a pat or a stroke in that area.
I had good results with this.
The Use By date was good. I purchased in August 2020 and the use by is December 2021.
Only time will tell how completely effective this is. If I change my mind on this product and have negative feedback I will resubmit this review. However, as it stands now this is a Five Star product.

I have 4 pets. I have always used Frontline and also another brand, mainly purchased from the Vet. I am very familiar with the products as I have had pets for 10+ years. My dogs were due their next dose, so I purchased Frontline from Amazon., obviously expecting it to work and quite simply it has not. This is a first. One of my dogs, for the first time ever, now has fleas, and only 5 days after using the product!!! My other dog, is scratching a lot, yet I have not noticed any on him, but I am now expecting to! UPDATE: BOTH DOGS GOT FLEAS, AND SCRATCHED SO MUCH, THEY WERE DIAGNOSED WITH AN ALLERGIC REACTION. THEY BOTH HAD TO HAVE TABLETS FROM THE VETS, PLUS ONE OF MY DOGS HAD TO TAKE STEROIDS TO HELP THE REACTION. This has never happened previously in almost 8-10 years.I want a refund. Is this product out of date???

We normally buy Frontline for a these kind of treatments, but this seemed to have no affect on my whippet at all.

We bought this because we went on a walk in Cumbria and my dog must have disturbed a nest of ticks as some of the ticks we found in him were minuscule. We got this Prime the next day and applied. However for the next few days as the tiny ticks grew to a size we could see them, they were still alive when we pulled them off. It was frustrating but at least he's a whippet with very short hair otherwise this would have been near impossible.

A week later, we go to collect an item we bought from ebay and, unbeknownst to us, the seller had a house full of flea infested cats. When we get home and I noticed one, I was thinking "thank goodness I applied that tick and flea killer treatment last week". This unfortunately made zero difference. Again, it was lucky he's a whippet with short hair as I was able to painstakingly pick every flea off with tweezers over the course of the next week. No tick or flea killing happened as a result of the treatment, neither did it have any kind of repellent. All it did from my point of view was make his neck greasy for a week.

I cannot recommend this product unfortunately. I've been told there's a tablet you can get on prescription from a vet which actually works, so I can only say don't waste your time or risk your pets health with this.

sadly this is the first time i have bought spot on from amazon and it didnt work, i usually buy it in person, so i have had to go out and purchase flea treatment again from another source and at a substantial cost, when summer comes around we always treat our dogs with flea treatment whether they have them or not, this is the first time they have actually got them in about 5 years so we wanted a fast acting solution that we know works within days along with treating all the carpets and soft furnishings in the house.

the carpets and soft furnishings were treated and cleaned and got the all clear but both my dogs were still niggling and itching long after they should have been so we checked them again and the little blighters were still there... so sadly in future we wont purchase flea treatment from amazon or any online retaileer and will only buy in person.

Additional to my scathing review, have since spoken to my own vets and a couple of independent vets ALL STATED THEY DO NOT ENDORSE OR RECOMMEND FRONTLINE AS AN EFFECTIVE FLEA TREATMENT so in essence, those who are experiencing problematic flea infestation in their pets and household would be well advised to seek effective treatment from established vets and steer clear of frontline it doesn't work and fleas are resistant to it.
Both my boys have never had any signs of flea activity always choosing to give them regular drops bought from the vets. During the ongoing pandemic and the lockdown restrictions getting to the vets to pick up their drops was near impossible to say the least. to my horror some 2 weeks ago, noticed flea dirt on both so naturally looked for a suitable flea treatment so i ordered 2 of these to see both through these times. I must say whatever is in the packaging or the pippets isn't doing anything, might as well be water because both dogs are now alarmingly still having a flea problem and it has got worse.

I've treated my dog with this product twice now (over 2 months) and he's still riddled with fleas. A completely useless product! I used this many years ago and it was a waste of time - didn't clear up the fleas - but decided to give it another go (on a different dog) but, no change! It's still a complete waste of money. Use Advantage or Stronghold - in my experience, they are more effective.

If you look online this is very common, even if used as advised it just doesnt do the job.

You need to purchase Frontline Spot On Plus, you can get it in pharmacies behind the counter, or in pet shops again behind the counter.

Do not buy this, fleas are so hard to get rid of, it is not worth it. Buy Frontline Spot On Plus, you'll have no problems.

WHY HAVE MY DOGS STILL GOT FLEAS

I used this product twice and it failed to get rid of my dogs fleas. I also sprayed the house with an appropriate product and they were still present. I ended up buying a special collar at twice the price of this but it lasts for 8 months and most importantly I cannot find any more “hoppers”. Wish I hadn’t wasted the money on this liquid and instead gone straight for the collar.

We purchased this for Rosie the dog who for the first time seemed to have a reoccurring flea issue. Obviously leads to discomfort and leaves my partner on high alert for flea spotting.

We followed all the instructions but it didn’t solve the issue. It also seemed to result in Rosie vomiting, I know dogs do this occasionally but it happened on each occasion we used and as it required break between treatments meant Rosie had to put up with flea issue in the interim and a washing machine on overdrive.

Eventually we found an alternative treatment that also killed the eggs. This seemed to resolve the issue within a couple of days and it does make sense that you treat the problem rather than the symptom.
