How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

I do love this series of books by Andrew Mayne. They are fast paced and completely different to any other thriller. With a love of the sea I find these stories completely compelling. I race through them all and this one was the best so far. Can't wait for book 4

This is the third in the UIU series and the second one I have read.(I have yet to read the first in the series). I really enjoyed the second book and I enjoyed this one too, albeit not as much.

This time we have Sloan McPherson called to a cruise ship that is sinking off the coast of Florida. Explosions on board make it look like a terrorist attack but as Sloan digs deeper she finds herself embroiled in a corruption plot that goes to very dark and high places.

This one was a fun and entertaining read. Again we have Sloan doing things her way and going against protocol as she tries to discover the secrets of the attack on the cruise ship.
It starts off at a blistering pace and while it does move along quickly with plenty of twists and indeed action, I felt the book never reached the intensity of those first few chapters. The set up I felt promised more than it ultimately delivered. Towards the end the book kind of peters out rather than coming to a climax.

Having said that I did enjoy it overall. A little underwhelming but a fun read none the less.

Thanks to the publisher for the ARC through Netgalley.

This is not a slow read over a holiday by the pool. This is an under a day read as you have to find the next plot twist. Andrew is an author who, book after book, writes non formulaic (ok the goodies win but not completely) gripping stuff filled with well researched detail. If you’ve not read the Naturalist series start there or just go the first in this series. You will not be disappointed

Absolutely love this series of books.

I'm already looking forward to the next release (even if it is next year 😭).

Really likable characters which make you want to be part of their team.

McPherson is so gung-ho, sometimes you're wincing but you know her nature tends to get the results.

What will the team get to up next?!

Another great thriller from Andrew Mayne. I loved the cross over reference to Jessica Blackwood from his other novels too!
Very likeable characters that really suck you into the story. I found it hard to put down my kindle as I was desperate to know how each chapter would unfold. I found myself becoming Sloan McPherson, caught up in her world of diving, crime and corruption. Just brilliant!!

Good story with believable characters. Only gripe it all seemed to wrap up very quickly, could have done with “more ending”.

An okay read but not as good as the first two. It started off well, but then petered out and the ending was just so boring, as was the whole premise. I never bought into any of it to be honest. If there is a fourth it has to be better

Audio Version - This is the third book in a series of four involving the Underwater Investigation Unit (UIU) and it definitely did not disappoint! It was full of action and suspense all the way through.

This time the team join forces with the multiple agencies to investigate the sinking of a cruise ship where 4000 passengers lives were put at risk.

It is not a case of terrorism though as initially thought and as the UIU get closer to unravelling the truth they come up against some powerful forces intent on stopping them.

As usual they are doggedly determined, fearless, and sometimes wreckless (namely McPherson) in their attempts to uncover the truth. However nothing will stop them from uncovering the truth and seeking justice even when their livelihoods and lives are threatened.

Another excellent instalment by Andrew Mayne in this very original series. The audio narration was so good too in bringing the book alive. I cannot wait for the fourth book to be released!
