I wired it in, and it powers the doorbell. Can't ask for much more than that.

Firstly, if you're looking for a transformer for your video doorbell then this fits the bill perfectly.

You could just stop reading at the end of the first paragraph if you wished. However, the thing about this is that it is a branded product which is priced accordingly. About £8 to £10 more than the market average for such things, which I found out later to my annoyance. The second thing is that even in a ten year old consumer unit, the retaining clip does not fit. Luckily the face plate for my consumer unit also acts a retainer so it wasn't that great of an issue.

This was simple enough to fit but you have to be prepared to drill holes into the plastic wall mount and counter sink your screws to make it fit. It can be mounted into a fuse board but I did not have space and would have needed an electrician for that.
Easy ho follow instructions and worked first go.

You can buy cheaper doorbell transformers for under £10 but some make a humming noise and more annoying especially when it's quiet. The transformer requires small thin phillips head screwdriver to attach the wires for power. which most household wouldn't have readily available.. I've wired to a 3 pin UK plug for power in put.

Be aware that this transformer is intended to be “rail mounted” on a wall strip.
( I was able to make one up from a strip of metal, then fixed to the wall).
Easy connections for wiring up - but it has no cover ( to protect from water, dust etc).

I bought this for the Wired Video Doorbell. Slightly more expensive than other brands but I wanted to ensure compatibility and that the doorbell was supplied with the maximum voltage. I mounted the transformer in a wylex double din enclosure and used 5 metres of two core 0.75mm stranded copper cable to get minimum voltage drop at the doorbell. The Ring App health reports 23v.

This transformer is very easy to install if you know how to wire your consumer unit box, but I recommend using a qualified electrician if you're not familiar with consumer units. The transformer is very quiet compared to some other transformers, but it's also double the price of others too. This not only works with Amazon's Ring doorbell, but it will work with other doorbell's too. I mounted the transformer to an external din rail mount, but you can also mount it inside of the consumer unit.

Electrician went to fit new doorbell amongst lots of other things and after wiring up this transformer it makes a continuous buzzing and high pitched noise so much so that you can't leave it plugged in or it's all you can hear.

Amazon customer service refused to deal with it as it's past 30 days, even though it's clearly faulty they state that is there rules and nothing they will do about it even if it is faulty.

Its hard to write a review for a product like this. If you need it, there isn't really an alternative so the cost becomes somewhat irrelevant. It has one purpose and it does exactly what it's supposed yo do. As regards fitting it...physically it just clicks into place on the fuse board. Having said that...a lot of people would be better off getting an electrician to fit it for peace of mind.
But five stars alm round because it does everything the way its supposed to. Haven't had any issues yet after a months use of the ring doorbell.
