UPDATE! : runs in the switch really well playing Mario odyssey is like a dream smooth not slow or any lag

Fits the nintendo switch one of my games is downloading on it I will give an update on how it plays but so far so good package came undamaged looks great

I'm not new to technology; wrote my first game back in the 80's. Studied computer science in the 90's and worked in the industry since 1996. I've seen tech come and go, including the introduction of MicoSD cards.

I've ALWAYS purchased SanDisk cards as they have been super-reliable and used them in phones, tablets, security cameras, dashcams, action cams and Raspberry Pis.

When I purchased this SanDisk Ultra, I noticed the sudden flimsy feel of the plastic used. So much so, one actually snapped when inserting it into a Raspberry Pi (and I wasn't being a gorilla with it - the plastic is really soft). Amazon thankfully replaced it with another one (Thanks A!).

The replacement came and I decided to put it into my GoPro 9. All was good until I came to record video - it would stutter and even give corrupted recordings. Not good.

I plugged it into my card reader and now the computer isn't reading the card. When I took it out of the card reader, the card was VERY hot. Not "fry an egg" hot, but i've not felt it be that hot before.

I tried another card reader - same. Unable to read the drive. Device Manager won't let me manage it - Disc Error... so it wasn't a case the drive needed re-building.

Again, Amazon agreed to refund me this card now - so i'll buy another Lexar High Performance 633x card - which hasn't had these issues!

I've used Sandisk micro SD cards regularly, but find myself purchasing another one yet again. Required because I need one with a larger capacity.

Once you open the packaging, you find a sealed plastic unit box, with the micro SD card and the Adapter.

Why I appreciate buying Sandisk:
- It comes formatted in exFAT, so it's plug and record/play
- Comes with an SD card Adapter
- Constructed to withstand 'shocks', a particularly useful attribute considering its for an action camera
- Long and fuss free warranty

I will also add that:
- I have yet to suffer any issues with a Sandisk card
- Sandisk's core business is memory and memory cards
- Great value for money

First, I will check to determine whether my SD card is indeed genuine. To do this :
- Look to ensure that the SD card has both a serial number and the identity of the country of manufacture

Next to check the capacity :
- Use a program called "H2testw" (it is free) which confirms that real capacity of the SD card (fake SD cards will have a lower capacity, but overwritten so as to display a significantly higher capacity).
- Results : 243952 👍

Finally to check the read / write speed of the card
- Use "Crystal Disk Mark"
- Results : read speed 90.11 MB/s; write speed 34.52 MB/s. All satisfactory for a card of this type. 👍

Following above results, I can confirm that mine is a genuine Sandisk micro SD card. 👍👍👍.

Surprising quality and performance

Be careful when you buy memory chips as there are many fakes on the market, even the big retailers have been conned by the fakes. There are many websites which explain how to spot a fake and for me, when I plug the chip into my camera it will tell me how fast it is by using its identifier.

For me I can take a burst shot of photos and they should save in a few seconds.

I am involved in several new technologies in my work, in particular in prototyping, which includes 3D printing, developing single board computers (Like the Raspberry Pi, Asus Tinkerboard, Odroid, khadas), which all rely on good quality, fast, reliable SD Cards, and from experiences (many bad) with other brands of SD Card, I now stick with Sandisk cards, probably buying 15 to 20 sd cards per year.
I am also keen on photography and need to do this as part of my job also, where also SD cards are important, and also select Sandisk SD cards here as well.
With all this technology in my life, I also often need USB memory sticks (USB Drives) and also use Sandisk there also.
At this point you probably think I have shares in Sandisk! But no, I am just someone who has been burned by cheap SD and Micro SD cards in heavy duty environments where they really do get a pounding, with some other brands only lasting a few weeks, whereas some of my Sandisk SD and MicroSD cards are now several years old and still working fine, so I felt the need tonight to give them the credit they are due.

Stopped working after a few months

Completely failed, won't reformat in several machines with or without the adaptor. Other cards are fine, Amazon support kept asking me if I'd tried it in another machine despite me telling them this at the start. Now they want to pass it to Sandisk technical support. The card is broken, it's passed on! This card is no more! It has ceased to be! It's expired and gone to meet it's maker! 'It's a stiff! Bereft of life, it rests in peace It's kicked the bucket, It's shuffled off its mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-SD CARD!!

Worked fine for the first couple of days?!

Always used SanDisk in the past but don't know what was the matter with this particular one?

Phone recognised it straight away proceeded in moving everything from old card to this and all worked as it should added more music files no problems.

All of a sudden then phone started saying problem with card (need to format) moved all files onto computer then formatted and ok for a while then phone started saying the same thing again?

Plugged into pc used chkdsk etc which said corruption was found and then cleared but phone continued to say the same thing??

Sent back and purchased a Samsung card instead loaded with the same files and touch wood everything ok so far! So have no idea what was the matter with the SanDisk?

Fake Micro SD Card

Amazon needs to stop third party sellers, including selling Micro SD Cards on behalf of third party sellers especially from China, because there's a good chance they're fake.

The Micro SD Card looked totally authentic, even down to the packaging itself. It's when I inserted the Micro SD Card into my Nintendo Switch and started downloading my on-line game collection things started going wrong. What was supposed to be a 256MB Card started to error out after 60GB of downloaded game data. After an investigation on my PC, it turned out the card is fake. Closer inspection and internet search and the tiny numbers on the back of the card didn't match up to how a real card looks like. Checking on-line real vs fake was the only way to find out the card isn't faulty, it's 100% fake.

if anyone wants sound advice buy a different brand all ive had is severe headache trying to sort the matter out with amazon & i am sure its the third card i reported that does not work not worth a penny & i always bought SanDisk dongles you name it but after the treatment i have had i have been with amazon for years i wont be renewing my prime or shopping on here i am going back to ebay but i certainly wont ever purchase a single SanDisk item as they are faulty goods they don't even read one i put in stated a very low storage the other ones did not read what so ever dud cards beware .. sorry amazon but it has to be posted to let others be aware of SanDisk that you are selling they are mostly dud cards
