My step son gave me his Xbox One we got him a Series S. Unfortunately none of the controllers worked any more.
I decided to go with this to pay for a recognised by Microsoft product.
So far the quality has been good and the response acceptable.

If there are any issues in the future I will update this review. For now I'm just happy to be able to use the xbox again.

Have had several (10+) of the old design, and the deadzones ALWAYS fail. Sometimes in a month, sometimes in a day. I thought I would try this new model out hoping that the problem of horrible deadzones (that, more often than not, literally arrive off-center) had been taken care of. And lo and behold, it hasn't. Stick drift right out of the box.

Ignore all the parents saying "Got this for my kid and he loves it!".

As someone who has been gaming on xbox pads since the original xbox console, I can tell you this is a waste of money.

Thumb sticks have a 15% accuracy error, plus the left thumbstick has died only after a couple weeks.

There are small cuts into the rubber on the thumb sticks and it really helps keep grip when pushing them forward for a long time, but kinda useless when they are this inaccurate.

buy something better quality.

I got this to replace my last PowerA controller and I'm disappointed

I'm disappointed, my last controller had a cable that barely lasted a few months before breaking at the connection point and I had to tape it shut to keep using it because the cable had to be one of their proprietary designs or it wouldn't connect, that controller eventually lasted a year with care but the sticks ended up very loose and had drift, so when I bought this one and it arrived with no proprietary cable and seemingly overall sturdier construction I was happy. within a month I'm having issues, the left stick refuses to detect inputs to the right sometimes which is awful in a situation that requires proper movement (like dodging attacks in elden ring). The movement is also overall regularly just jittery, vibrating to the left and right and veering me off diagonally when I'm trying to go forward and maybe even just turning me around entirely away from where the input should have sent me. The controller is in shambles for the amount of time I've owned it and the only way it seems to temporarily fix the issues I have explained is to unplug and replug the controller, which barely fixes it for a few minutes. I have checked my drivers and they are up to date and working fine, this is an issue with the controller itself (I use this controller for PC) not sure really what to do about it except stick with it until I cant stand using it and buy a new one.
Overall I do not really recommend PowerA products, i have owned a headset in the past that was uncomfortable aswell and I doubt ill be buying from them again.

It arrived and is not wired. It is plug in to controller and console and takes AA batteries. Otherwise looked and felt fine so I gave it a try. In the 30mins it was plugged in, it disconnected 20+ times. Constantly. Even with nobody touching it, just bad quality. Unusable.

You get what you pay for, I bought a Microsoft replacement that same night and it's perfect (albeit for twice the price but I suspect it will last years rather than minutes)

The PowerA controller was bad quality and I hope this review helps to bring attention to anyone considering buying one instead of a branded one, yes it's half the price but the reason is it is a cable and a cheap & poorly built imitation of Xbox controller.

This particular seller- it arrived faster than expected, they accepted return immediately when it failed and refunded within days with minimal hassle and no extra cost to ship back. Recommend but double check item !

Was not expecting much as all I needed was a cheapish controller. Some product reviews instantly put me off. As I won't be using this controller much it should last a while but time will tell. So far it's good enough. Feels OK to hold and no stick drift. Buttons a little clunky but ok for the price. There is a little dead zone on each pad but not bad enough to make it unusable.
Overall a good choice for a backup controller or one you wo to use often.

This controller is amazing. i read these reviews after buying and regretted it and was overthinking about the product until it came! it has been working fine and is so smooth to touch, i have no problems with this controller and honestly, don’t think i’ll ever have. all you have to do is just take care of it. don’t let it fall. that’s all i have to say! it’s easy to hold, doesn’t slip out of your hand, GREAT packaging, has a screenshot button if your lazy like me and can’t be bothered to press Y. 3.55m headset jack. sadly, even once and again, you hear this buzzing noise but it goes away after 2 seconds or so. the reviews may look like you shouldn’t buy it. but trust me, it’s worth the price if you need something cheap & simple. i bought this because my other controller was terrible and there was something stuck in the headset insterer, im very surprised how good quality this controller is i may say! very pleased, good controller over-all:) worth the money, remember not all reviews mean anything, what other people are experiencing it’s there experience. you can have a different experience with this product. i love it. and it’s totally worth the money if your looking for something cheap. also comes very quick! very pleased with my purchase :D

Updated - Right analog stick broken, new controller issued

Bought at the end of November and the right analog stick has already broken and it is on January. The stick does not work fully and is unusable for gaming.
Went onto suppliers websote and claimed through warranty. After suppling information and proof of purchase was told it would take up to 3 weeks to be sent and then additional time due to being in the UK. The controller arrived within a week following this. New one is working fine and hoping it stays that way this time :)

Great Controller with one (very slight) annoyance

The controller itself is great (have been using it to play Elden ring on PC), the only slight annoyance is that the cable is massive (thankfully its detachable) but the hole on the top of the controller does not fit some micro USB cables (I have Anker Micro USB cables and they don't really fit). Apart from that its a great controller

It does the job for an Xbox controller, the wire length is good for laying on the sofa whilst you game and good response time.
However, it’s biggest flaw is it’s quality, the controller feels flimsy, doesn’t have much weight to it, and recently it’s already starting to get some stick drift which really is annoying.
If you’re gaming and have big hands like me, you’ll probably damage the controller due to it not handling aggressive button mashing
