Just got this today and once paired to my Amazon Cube, works a lot better than the usual one I’ve been using. Has 4 preset buttons that work, Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ and also Amazon Music. Button that looks like a tv 📺 with arial on it connects directly to Pluto TV. Works the same as usual remote control 2nd edition but saves hunting for those programmes I mentioned. Need to get a cover for it but I used an old one I had and cut bottom part to fit extra buttons on it. Pic is with cover on it I am using just now. Only ones that sell them come from China and takes weeks to arrive here.

Amazon kindly sent me this after the one that came with the Firestick wasn't operating several key functions. Initially this replacement had the same problems, but Amazon tech helped to make it work through a tweak in the settings menu. However, this still fails to mute quite regularly - I have to press repeatedly - and at least one other function doesn't work. The fast forward and rewind are perplexing, they don't seem to correspond to the speed shown on screen and, in addition, those functions behave and appear differently according to what channel or programme I watch. The handset itself is quite ergonomic in use (unlike some remotes); the seams on it are not too sharp or icky to the touch but they're not perfect. Overall, I'm not impressed with this product.

I bought this as a replacement i had the first gen one originally. It was flimsy, the battery cover kept falling off. This one is NOTHING like that. Its very well made. Took seconds to pair with my fire tv stick. Way way better than the one i had before. Thanks amazon for upgrading the remotes.

If you've got an older compatible Fire TV product this is a worthwhile upgrade. The extra control and in our case direct access to Prime/Netflix are really welcome. The control is logical, it has a decent range, and voice recognition is good plus the two AAA cells are included. My only negative feeling is that the price is quite high.

This remote made my 2nd generation Fire TV stick a pleasure to use, which with the terrible 2nd generation remote control it was not.

It mostly replaced my need for 3 remotes, though I still have to turn my Logik TV on via its own remote control occasionally.

The light, volume, TV, quick access, & power buttons are all upgrades.

I bought the remote for the power button alone, as I hated the hassle of holding the home button for 5 seconds, then having to select sleep mode.

This remote control also has an IR blaster for those TV functions.

I was surprised, & impressed that the TV button takes me to Pluto TV, rather than digital freeview, as I don't have my TV connected to an aerial.

Highly recommended.
