Perfect for taking to a swimming pool

All I can say about this product is, "Wow." I've just started going a large local pool for advanced hydrotherapy, following a very long period of disability. I needed a large, light towel which could fit into a slingback backpack and still leave room for other necessities such as a swimsuit, water bottle, etc, so ordered (more in hope than expectation) the largest version of this product.

It's perfect. The towel is large but folds up to something very small, it's very light, and it's far more absorbent than I expected. I've used it for 2 pool sessions so far and the towel has helped me to dry off quickly and easily. I recommend it very, very highly.

Edit - two months later:
This towel has now been washed several times, always with a swimsuit and at a 30 degree wash. It washes perfectly and dries quickly. I'm about to start resistant exercises at a local gym and have ordered the small version of this towel to take with me to those sessions. Everyone who's bought one (or more) on my recommendation has been equally impressed.

Fast drying towel with terrible cheap case

Will be a great item for download festival doesn't take up much room, the tag on the side which can be removed is helpful for hanging to dry the item, has a zip pocket on one corner, item drys fast! If your just buying the item for the case don't bother its cheaply made the stitching is terrible, just buy the towels separately will save you more money.

I have had a few microfibre towels such as this one one in the past, some branded, some have been picked up from shops such as Cotswold, Winfields, Go Outdoors etc.

I use them for a travelling, when I'm hiking I'll pack one and often I'll take one in the car when we go somewhere muddy with the dog, which is pretty much everywhere!

I purchased this based on a solid looking case, a good price point and also very good reviews and have had it a few weeks now.

The Good

* The case whilst not a hard luggage type case does a good job of keeping the towel somewhere you are less likely to forget, ie stuffed in the washing, at the bottom of a rucksack or in the car boot.
The zip has held up well and the towel fits easily back into it when washed.

* The towel size is very generous, the measurement is accurate, I picked up a Large.

* Build quality is great, well stitched, no bobbles even now after a few wet and muddy encounters and subsequent washes.

* To touch the towel is very soft, it feels nice to touch and doesn't have a nylon type feel that some towels can.

* Most microfibre towels don't appear to be absorbent, you wonder how this will dry anything, but they do, to varying degrees. This one does have a very good level of absorbency, I haven't been for a swim myself but the dog has, it's served me during several hikes when I've had to dry off to get in the car or take stuff out of my bag that I can't get wet too.

* As said I have used this a few times now, it doesn't look as pristine but it does appear to have a lot more life in it, some people like to machine wash I prefer hand washing but am sure it's probably inadvertently landed in the wash at least once, and it's just fine!

* There is a zip compartment feature which goes across one edge, I didn't see it on the listing so was a welcome bonus when it arrived. Its a handy stow for keys and money that gives you a little more security.

The could be better

* If I had one negative I would say that I have had softer microfibre towels, however I have found that they don't tend to last as long, that's not to say this is like drying with sandpaper because it really isn't, it's still soft and super absorbent.

I will update after some months of use and multiple washes, however I don't see there being many issues with this. Its a great size, well built, absorbent, has a good compartment and the case is actually really useful at finding it and also taking care of the towel.

It's especially helpful getting water off the dog!

Highly recommended.

As described, I read the reviews for several micro towels before purchasing one for my holidays. I ordered the extra large, arrived on time. I washed it yesterday, it dried very quickly. I like the colour, handy zip pocket on the corner will fit phone/purse/keys so will be useful on the beach. Stitching is of good quality. Folds very small and is very light to carry.
It will cover the whole sunbed which is what I had been looking for. The material as expected is thin, if you are sitting on the sand or sunbed it will be fine with the added benefit of being small and light to carry.
I would recommend this item.

These hand sized towels score on all 3 categories above. The towel does absorb very well. It’s easy to use them as you just pat yourself down no need for a rub to dry motion. They are ideal for travelling too. You can use the provided carry case or just pack in suitcase/bag. They are amazingly lightweight. The big plus is they can be washed on a cool setting and they dry very quickly indeed. The colours are lovely and bright and summery. The finishing of the ones we have received is fine. You can hang them from the included detachable loop. The corner pocket is good for when you are out and about and need a space to put small lightweight items and zipped up. Price wise these are good value.

What a let down.

After reading the very many 4 and 5 star reviews for this towel I was full of joyful anticipation for this product which I aimed to use when attending lane swimming sessions in my local pool. With all the Covid 19 restrictions for the pool I wanted to replace my normally bulky towel with something lightweight and compact. It was certainly that and I liked the small case it came in. So far so good. Then, after my swim, I came to use it. It seemed to get saturated in seconds and then it was like trying to dry yourself with a wet dishcloth. Only one that didn't slide easily over your skin. You can't rub the towel over yourself as you can with a normal cotton towel. You have to pat yourself. Very laborious. Especially as it doesn't seem to soak up the water after the first few seconds of use. So I'm with those who gave this product one and two stars, even though when I read these before buying I didn't think them fair after so many had given rave reviews. But they are right.

Well packaged and good little case but that's as far as the positives go.
also I did try and contact the seller with regards to my concerns and complaints below. and they just quoted the shpeal about the product benefits and offered no real solution / answers.

I'd like to say to my fellow public just tryna make our way through this weird obstacle course called life. psychology studies shows little things (little wins) add to the enjoyment of this life ride. and one such thing is a good purchase. I. e a purchase u look back at over time and think that was a brilliant find. (this applies to the majority of people who don't have a significant disposable income and can just throw items in the bin if they don't like them).

This product IS NOT a good purchase for me.

infact I bought 2 different towels from 2 different companies and comparatively the other one is yards better.

This towel has absorbancy that leaves alot to be desired.

and now it just smells despite washing as per instructions.

the idea of this quick dry towel is that it dries quickly so it can be left for longer.
even using it as a hand drying towel it just smells of wet after a few rounds.

from the point of view of what it claims to do. IT DOESN'T DO.

it's also now bobbling, had this maybe 2 or 3 months

I wouldn't buy this again and regret this purchase. never mind maybe a win to come soon
