Good Sturdy Harness

Bought this as I was after a front leading harness with a METAL clip and also as I wanted something to use in the car.
This harness ticks all the boxes, i have a 40kg Rottweiler and it fits her really well, bought an XL in black, reflective stitching lights her up , easy to put on and take off. Clips have endured her pulling at them when she sees cats, squirrels foxes etc and she walks lovely on it. Allows her legs and shoulders freedom of movement.

Poor design

Thought this harness looked great for the money to start with, but it didn't last long. The back D-ring is on the thinnest part of the harness, which is a basic design flaw. A few weeks of use with a strong pulling young Springer Spaniel saw the stitching on the back ripping. Couldn't risk using it any more, so went for as more sturdy and expensive harness. Might be ok for a dog that doesn't pull like a train.

My border collie is nearly 13 and has hip dysplasia and arthritis in his front legs, though is amazingly fit and well for his age - helped by turmeric, green lipped mussel powder and more recently, anti-inflammatories. We live right by the canal plus have a small lake in the garden and he often plops in for a little swim.

However, because he is quite stiff now he finds it difficult to get out and this is why I bought the harness. I looked at a lot of harnesses and chose this one, not only because of the good reviews, but because the handle on the top faces the most practical way. Most of the other harnesses' handles are positioned at the back end and run from side to side. This one is at the front (so easy to grab him when struggling up the bank) and faces forward, so easy to hook your fingers into.

The harness is easy to fit - the neck strap slips over the head and can be made larger or smaller with the step and buckle and then there are two clips either side of the chest to secure the back part in place. Again, the chest straps can be adjusted - not so easy but then you don't want them to slip out of place. It is well padded and so far looks as if he is very comfortable in it. You would need to look out for rubbing behind the elbows, not all harnesses fit very well. I only put it on him for walks and when going in the car.

So for the car, he goes in the back section of my Rav 4 with the harness on and I have just bought a pair of short adjustable straps with a section of bungee elastic and a hoop to go over the back head rests and the clip goes on the back of the harness - never on the collar which can cause damage to their necks.

He is quite a large collie weighing between 25-27kg and I got the Large size which fits perfectly and looks very smart. I haven't checked out how well the reflective strips work but because he is such a contrast his white bits are easy to pick out in the dark anyway!

So far I have no complaints, our labrador is only 8 months. So still in training But the pulling to get to the piece of plastic, empty can. Grass moving Basically anything not tied down has just about stopped. Don't get me wrong she still wants to get to it but arm is not being pulled out of its socket lol
I thought about roller skates but at my age ( ancient) its not for me
So Yes I highly recommend it. She loves it. She used to be a nightmare to get her lead on ( usual running in circles excited) Now she sits down & waits
So go on buy one. Enjoy walkies without being pulled all over the park

Great harness. Fits dog well and is very easy to get on and off. My dog has the neck of a small dog, the chest of a medium and is long in length (going by all the different size charts). So it is difficult to find a harness that I can get to fit properly. This one is perfect, very easy to adjust.

As you can see my bullies were absolutely thrilled with their new harnesses 😂😂😂Haven't been out in them yet but they fit well and seem strong and sturdy. Mine don't pull on the lead but bought these as they seemed more padded and a better fit for a barrel chested dog and they do fit beautifully! Even though they don't want to go out for walks (laziest dogs ever)!

We have a gigantic Newfypoo puppy, who on the lead is capable of pulling like a train! Our dog trainer suggested getting a harness, so we got one of these and it fits well and seems to help our huge fur baby with pulling a lot less. It fits well and looks very smart as well. The only problem is getting it on to a gigantic wriggling puppy, who fancies doing a bit of play biting. (I imagine it is similar to trying to put a bow tie on a shark :-).

Chose the orange harness - this came quickly and we love the colour. Bright and expandable for a fast growing puppy although fit round the chest on tightest setting was still initially to big round the neck when set to tightest. But now fits lovely and the expansion option is great. Also having a lead clip on top and under neck is great giving you the option that suits your dog's needs best. Use this also in the car with dog seatbelt clip.

We got this harness as our dog pulls and escapes from his current harness. This harness looks really good, it's sturdy and smart. We followed the fitting instructions. Unfortunately our dog escaped from the harness within a couple of minutes. Fortunately we were in a field not on the road. We are going to try it again as we can't work out how he managed his getaway so quickly!!!

Well made harness with plenty of room for growing

I have struggled to find a harness that fits my 5 month old beagle. Based on his weight the harnesses suggested for him are much too big, even on their smallest setting.
This harness provided accurate measurements which overlap to make sure that there is a suitable size for every dog rather than landing in between 2 sizes. The quality is much better than I thought and feel sturdy and durable. Due to the metal buckles, the harness stays at the size you set it to rather than slipping as I've had with other harnesses.
At 5 months, my puppy still has a bit of growing and bulking out to do but this harness has plenty of room to allow for that which is great as constantly buying new harnesses when they've grown out of their old one is expensive!
Delivery was quick and packaging was minimal. Hopefully my review won't need updating after a few months of use!
