I would not recommend this to anyone, especially anyone who isn't using Alexa. The whole set up process is just poor and full of errors, I spent half a day trying to sort out with no joy. The product advertises and a lot of online reviews states that this can be connected to Google Home and Samsung Smartthings. This is very far from the truth and I would call it false advertisement. When trying to connect to Google Home the Ring app doesn't appear on the list so impossible to connect, and I later found out even if possible it only has reduced functions, cannot see video through Google Home. Then on Smartthings, when you go to authorise the linkage through the Ring website, it shows an error that states I do not have any Ring products register on my account, when I do. Worse still, you call customer service and they say they do not provide tech support unless you are connecting to an Amazon product. So Amazon advertises falsely that we can integrate to other products, users comes across errors, then when you call for help they refuse to help. I interpret that as misleading consumers and ripping them off. All because Amazon wants to force people to use all their products when we are in a world of integrating everything, actually it has reverse impact on me, I will never buy another Amazon made product because of this.
