If like me you've just upgraded your phone and discovered the cable the phone comes with is USB C to USB C then these are great. Nothing (literally nothing) I own uses USB C apart from the new phone and so a cable with that connector on both ends is about as useful as an underwater hairdryer.
So after spending £20(!) on a plug from the phone manufacturer to allow me to actually charge the new phone I wondered how I will plug it into the car (for Android Auto) and discovered these.
These do the job perfectly, small but strong and robust feeling and the USB C cable fits in snugly without any wobble.
For the price I would definitely recommend and having 3 gives the flexibility to leave them plugged in to the places you might want to use them like a car/PC USB socket or even an old charger plug. I must say I haven't tried them on an old charger so I can't say for certain if this will work but I can't see why it wouldn't.

Overheated & Melted

I became aware of a smell of burning plastic. The USB adaptor has melted into the 3-pin plug and burnt out the Apple cable. Had I not not been in the room, this product could possibly have started a fire. Luckily, I escaped with just the stench of plastic and the loss of the only cable I have for my iPad.

I upgraded my tablet recently, and found that the charging cable supplied was very different to my previous model. The last tablet had USB A to Lightning port cables whereas the new one was supplied with USB C TO USB C cables. This meant that the good quality charging plugs I’d purchased over time for work and in the car were no longer compatible, but I still needed to hang onto them for my other devices.

Although I could have purchased new USB C charging plugs and cables and have two different charging solutions in the car and at work, this pack of four adapters has given my existing chargers a new lease of life, allowing me to continue using my existing charging plugs in the car and at work but at a fraction of the cost and I can also still use them for my other USB A devices too.

They have a great positive fit, seem well made and I’ve had no issues with them whatsoever.

If you have bought a 2021 iPad Air, like I have, you’ll have discovered that they no longer have lightning ports, but USB C instead. The power brick that comes with the device is also USB C rather than regular USB, so all your old chargers have suddenly become redundant. Well, not any more! This little device acts as an adapter so that you can plug your new charger cable into an older style USB to mains iPad charger and it works beautifully! Now I can plug in for Zoom sessions (as they drain the iPad battery pretty quickly) without having to schlep the cord and charger up and down the stairs as we can now have a cable on both floors, removing a potential trip hazard. This 3 pack of adapters are a simple but very effective solution! Thank you for making life so much easier!

I ordered this item as I have recently taken out an SSD Drive from my old iMac and fitted it into a USB C Drive Enclosure. I can then plug the SSD drive into my new iMac using the USB C port just fine, but I also have a MacBookPro which is older and does not have USB C ports.
Therefore this product was ideal as I can now use the drive on my laptop too using a conventional USB port.
The product itself look good, small, neat and compact. Well packed and speedy delivery.
Worked first time on my laptop and I even have 2 more as spares.
Would buy again from Syntech.

Impressed with this quality adapter

Many cables nowadays are USB-C connector on both sides, while the chargers and some old devices still using usb A port. Then you will need this adapter to convert a type c cable to a normal one.
I buy this adapter for my phone. This tiny USB c female to USB male adapter is exactly what I am looking for. It solved my problem perfectly. I tried it on power bank and USB A port in the car. Although this adapter do not support fast-charging as it described but it works great. I also plugged it on my laptop to sync photos and files from phone, data transferring is stable and fast.

They are so compact and portable. I can keep them connected on my cable, laptop and bring to everywhere, like using the car charger and USB A port in some public area.

Very tight. Be careful when removing from usb-a port

This product is well made with a great finish, however it fits very tightly in the usb-a port. Arguably too tightly.

After inserting then removing from a port on my motherboard it ripped out the plastic divider from the half of the port. This left the contact pins exposed and if I plugged anything into this port it would cause my computer to crash.

After bending the contacts back and managing to slide the plastic divider back on, it works but this adapter needs to remain in the port so I have essentially traded a usb-a port for a usb-c port on my motherboard which is much better than it could have been.

Just be careful when removing it.

I hadn't upgraded my iPhone for 6 years and once I settled on the iPhone 12 I realised that the change in USB-C to lightning cable meant that I would not be able to plug my new phone into my Mac Book Pro (2014 model) in order to transfer my old phone data and backup it up. The 3 x Syntech USB-C adaptors are perfect and a colour and design that fits the Apple brand. Now I can use one for my Mac book, one for my charger port in my office and one for my car so that I can charge whenever and wherever I choose and back up my iPhone when needed. Great product and very very reasonably priced for 3 items.

As we navigate the annoying but perfectly understandable transition to USB-c from a variety of other USB formats, having a small cluster of these (and the reverse) in the top desk drawer is really helpful, and these seem to be perfectly fit for purpose. When you get new cables for your peripherals get good quality USB-c ones, then you can use adapters such as this to retrofit to older laptops/PCs or whatever. [For purists, I have no idea why the camera question comes up in the rating when typically the technical issues for image transfer are way less than for FMV, audio or comms. I've had no problems with playing HDR through these.]

The product works well and and seems good quality at a reasonable price. It arrived the next day after ordering, which was impressive. However, the delivery cost was almost the same as the cost of the product. The only choice was free delivery by trial of Amazon Prime or next day delivery at £4.99, which was rather a con to try to get customers to sign up to Amazon Prime. An option for delivery by Royal Mail, given the small size of the pack of 3 adapter, would have been more reasonable.
