Owned this for less than a day. But after one use (in the shower with shaving cream) I am over the moon with it. Deliberated for weeks over what to get. Watched countless videos, read tonnes of reviews for this and the apparent market leader Skull Shaver. (But the amount of bad reviews those had with becoming faulty after only a few months put me off.)
However this Remington had a fair few good reviews, and being a recognizable brand with 2year warranty, +1 with registration is good price of mind. A lot of people were asking about replacement cutter heads which apparently aren't available, but I'm going to put that down to improper maintenance, or using on longer hair than advised.
The shave is as close as it needs to be. It's obviously not slap head smooth as a razor but I never really want that anyway. The ease of keeping my hair short with a once over in the shower every other morning will change my life.
I did get some razor burn in the back of my neck/shoulder blades, but that was expected. I think next time I'll make sure I've applied shaving cream better and maybe not press too hard, or just stick to doing that with clippers when I trim the beard.
Overall if your still reading this review then you're probably same as me and want to be sure. So from one normal genuine guy to another, after one use, I couldn't be happier.
I will edit this review if my opinion changes as the months and weeks go on.
UPDATE - six months + later and I'm still very happy with it. Genuinely very good in all situations, but I tend to use it either just before a shower - dry. I tend to find that gets all the hairs around my ears a bit easier. In the shower wet or with shaving cream it almost glides over a bit to much.
UPDATE - 18 months later. Still going strong. Blades do feel a little blunt but as long as I don't use it in hair to long (as per the instructions) it's just fine. Genuinely one of my favourite purchases.
