My dog LOVES them.

My dog LOVES these treats, she loves them so much I have to break them up and give them to her very carefully, or she has my fingers! Even almost 12 years young she knows what she likes, and these treats she really does LOVE them.

This is how much she loves them, if I just give 1 strip to her she literally in hales it, and then starts to choke! Yes she is a daft.

Unhappy dogs!

Review based totally on price as Amazon service as usual deserves 5 stars. My dogs love these, they actually drool when the pack comes out! Unfortunately for them, they'll be getting less of these treats from now on. Unless I can buy them on offer again I wont be purchasing any further packs. The price has shot up recently to nearly £2 per pack, and typical of many products now, the size of each stick is now considerably smaller and thinner than it used to be. I should not be surprised though, as Pedigree is a subsidiary of Mars Inc. who have rightly been criticized over their shrinking chocolate bars. Another case of the greedy multinationals! At nearly half the price, supermarket own brands must be worth a try and I'm sure my dogs will let me know if they approve!

Beware!!!Grain mite infestation & added vet bills & we can't get rid of them

3 months ago my dog started shaking his head and chewing his paws and ended up with red sores in between his pads,swollen eyes and inflamed ears and he could barely walk. We went to the vets and were given anti allergy tablets and we bathed his feet 3 times a day with many different products....
We had no idea what it was as nothing in his diet etc. Had changed....
Roll on 4 weeks later and we noticed dust all over our fridge freezer that was moving.
On top of our fridge freezer was our pedigree dog treats (dentastix,schmackos & jumbones)
The schmackos box had burst open and the packets inside had also opened and what was inside had infested our kitchen...grain mites!!!
We had to throw all the food in our kitchen out that could be contaminated and we have spent the last month steaming and bleaching the kitchen trying to get rid of the grain mite infestation.
Even our bins outside were covered where they managed to escape our sealed bags of contaminated matter.
We had to use pest killer on them.
Funnily enough we still have a box of schmackos in the garage which we missed when we had to clear the kitchen out...it is still sealed and has a small window where you can see the no
Mites walking around inside.
We have now realised that as soon as we stopped giving the dog the pedigree sticks which contained the mites his allergies have cleared up and he is a happy dog again.
I contacted pedigree 2 weeks ago with pictures and asked them if they wanted the box of sealed grain mite treats for testing and they haven't even had the decency to reply.
This problem has so far cost us around £800 in total for vets bills,spoiled food, cleaning and pest chemicals and 4 weeks later our fridge still has them...they are probably living in the parts we cannot see.

Watch for the postage fee. They look cheap but that's not the truth. They slap on a FIFTEEN QUID postage fee. Dishonest, if you ask me!!

They have repackaged this product from the previous chicken flavour to a poultry mix (should be paltry!!) the size of the individual sticks has been reduced, they are about 2/3 of the size of the original and the packs are about 30g lighter overall.
Now not good value for money, and the dogs dont like this new version as much as the original.
COST CUTTERS OVER QUALITY!!!

At £9.00 I thought you would get a box of schmackos but I got one packet. In the reviews it has pictures of boxes arriving. Very disappointed at being ripped off as you can get them for £1.50 a bag in the shops.

Never again. The Smackeroos, as the dog knows them are a complete con.

22 per pack but they are smaller that what comes in individual packs, so end up giving more. Very surprised.
