Not the most portable but does the job very well, with a standout feature

I bought this stand for my Lenovo SmartTab M10, and it fits very well, even with the tablet in a slim cases (fatter cases may struggle). The main reason I bought it was to be able to read in portrait mode. However, the additional standout feature of this stand is the ability to adjust the height.

The arrangement is fine on the flip-down tray of an 'aircraft style' seat train (UK South West trains), and the added height means I'm not peering down at it. The stand is sturdy and easy to use, and the tilt adjustment is stiff enough to be held at different angles (although as it's not notched, best to just extend to the full (optimised for viewing) angle).

The only criticism I'd have is that it doesn't store completely flat - the curved bottom holders do not retract. This is however a small gripe, as otherwise the stand is light and portable (will easily fit into a laptop / other bag.

I definitely recommend it for both portrait and landscape viewing!

I have bought several Lamicall products and I think their aluminium phone and tablet stands are excellent. I was less impressed with this product.

Positives: the soft rubber section where the tablet sits is very good and will protect your tablet from getting scratched. The ability to raise or lower the tablet is useful. It folds reasonably flat if you planned to put it in a suitcase and take it with you when travelling.

Negatives: The rest of it is just plastic and it just looks and feels cheap.

If you plan to travel, it is OK, but I would probably recommend the Amazonbasics tablet stand which is cheaper. If you plan to use it at home, pay the extra and buy a Lamicall aluminium tablet stand. It is a much nicer product.

I bought this tablet stand as I am working from home and needed something that wasn't going to take up too much room on my desk. I have purchased several other stands in the past which where big and bulky and did not have a great range of viewing angles so I was apprehensive about this product.
When the stand arrived, I found that when folded, it is quite small making it easy to pop in you backpack or bag to take with you. The build quality is excellent. The holder is quite sturdy and the height adjustment to 2 levels is great but the most important thing for me was the viewing angle. There are no predetermined viewing angles that you must use like on most stands I have used, so the viewing angle on this stand can be adjusted to exactly the angle you require. Would highly recommend this stand. I have used several different tablet stands over the years, and without doubt, this has to be the best one I have ever had.

I bought two of them.
One was for my cousin who is 69.
She has, all her life, been seriously overweight, due to a thyroid problem. But in later life she has heart problems, she's diabetic and has serious problems in the knees (cartilage shattered in both knees completely) which has left her for the last 10 years in a wheelchair.
She loves to talk to her grandchildren most days on WhatsApp by video (especially now with Covid 19). And she also enjoys watching films on her tablet.
But, as if she hasn't got enough problems, she now has early stages of arthritis in the hands.
So, when I surprised her with the stand, she was over the moon. It's such a simple little thing for most people, but for her, it has changed her life. She can't stop thanking me for it. She says that either the phone or the tablet is almost permanently sitting on it. She was having so much difficulty holding either with the arthritis.
So thank you very much for the stand. It has been life changing.
Oh, The second one I bought was for me, but I haven't used it yet. Didn't feel the need to. I will sometime.

Increasing Facetime and Zoom use forced me to find something other than a couple of books for my iPad. The key benefit of this seemed to be it's portability, but although it is sturdy, it is also quite light. Not quite fold flat - (ledge to hold tablet sticks out a bit), but OK to slip into your bag.

There are only two height positions down for transit or up for use, using a button on the face of the stand. (Up is 40mm). The back support is (right now) well frictioned to hold where you put it for the best screen angle. My I PAD Mini, in its cover fits into the front edge well, as does my naked Huawei tablet. Nice little device and I am happy.

As an aside, I have discovered several other purposes for the stand. Works well with my Kindle, but most useful is when photographing Ebay items, which always were a sod to prop up. :-)

Naturally the only way to sensibly review this is purely on the purpose for which it was supposedly built. It's a simplistic stand, perfect for people on the go. I returned it unfortunately simply because I didn't think it was flexible enough for my use in the home, I couldn't angle the tablet as I wanted, and I felt that whilst fine for general viewing, if you wanted to interact with the tablet at all, then this wasn't holding it firmly enough.

There are more flexible alternatives out there if you pay £10 more and think it might benefit you. This is at the end of the day, a simple two-height, lean-type stand.

All that being said, it's well made, lovely to hold, folds brilliantly, and will travel great. If you want to set your tablet up quickly and watch something, you'd be hard pressed to find something better for the price.

This product is manufactured in China and distributed in Europe through a company in Germany.

Please note that this review is very similar to the one I have written for the smaller version of this product, which is designed for supporting smart phones.

First impressions count. I was pleasantly surprised at the packaging of the product. A crisp, sturdy cardboard box, with well printed lettering on the outside, opened to reveal the product inside. The stand was inside a translucent plastic bag. There was a 'welcome' leaflet in the box with an invitation to leave positive feedback on Amazon if happy and contact details if unhappy. A well printed small double sided card gave instructions how to set up and use the stand.

The stand is very nicely made and has a feel of quality about it. It fits my iPad perfectly. The height can be adjusted to one of two positions by pressing a hidden button in the centre of the stand; a printed logo clearly marks the spot to press. The viewing angle is continuously adjustable by opening the rear support, which works like an A-frame, as much as needed.

The stand folds flat when not in use with just the two tablet supports at the bottom sticking out slightly.

Do not be put off by the low price of this product. It is a really great, well engineered stand, which I will be using to support my iPad, particularly when using it as a second screen with my desktop computer. When I'm on the road, it will fold down flat and fit easily into a backpack, laptop case, etc.

I am very happy with this purchase.

Perfect for my needs

Before I bought this stand I tried out several others but none of them fitted my needs for a number of reasons.
Either they were too bulky, or not stable, my phone fitted but my tablet didn't or vice versa.
This stand folds in half and does not take up a lot of room when not in use, so it is easy to pop in a bag and take with you.
It is not heavy and feels solid when in place on a desk, table or flat surface.
It had an adjustable height of 2 places, which is fine for my usage. The bottom position does not allow me to put the cable in my phone to charge it but usually I have my phone on the upper height, so that does not affect me.
The stand fits both my phone, a Samsung, and my Amazon Fire tablet.
It is a very sturdy and durable stand.
I am delighted with it.

Compact and minimal in design

I brought this as a gift so my review is fairly neutral. That being said, I did have a look and I tested briefly before gifting. I would say i was happy. It seemed sturdy and fit for purpose. It is compact so it would be great to travel around with or if you are lacking space....simply great to prop up screens.

I liked this even more for its variable angles, nothing preset so you choose what angle suits you. It would need to stand on a desk or flat surface, this may seem obvious to some but I read some reviews where this was used in bed and this would not be fit for that purpose (I don't think it was designed to be), it really does need a flat/stable surface or it would simply keep falling over as you move around.

As mentioned, this was a gift so my review is limited. I own other Lamicall items and so didn't hesitate to buy a product from this brand nor would I again.
