Great blades!

These razor blades are really good! I normally use the blades from wilko that fit the Gillette mach 3 but theyve been sold out in my local for a month so I decided to try these. They're a quid dearer than the wilkos but it's worth it. Way sharper, definitely comparable to the Gillette ones in my opinion.

Bulky and irritable - Not for me I'm afraid!

I bought these as an alternative to my usual Gillette brand. I really wanted them to be good as they are so much cheaper than other brands however I just couldn't get used to the bulky cartridge that the blades are housed in. It is difficult to have an accurate shave when it feels like you are dragging a plastic box across your chin.
On top of that the lubricating strip irritated my skin. I have always used sensitive skin gel etc however never had a problem with my regular brand blades.
The blades seem sharp enough but I ditched the first blade to return to my regular brand after a week.
It's a "no thanks" from me.

Got to have been the worst razor blade I have used in 45 years since I had virgin skin and not much idea as to how to hold a razor.
As with the current situation of hardship with the cost of living going up with the prohibitive fuel prices, I like many people am looking at reducing outgoings to continue to be able to stay warm and fed without spiralling into debt, so when I saw the write ups about this product is was a no brainer to try and save some money, money that could be better used for other needs in trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
I was soon to have lost more claret than the French since the wine grape famine of the mid 19th century. If it wasn't for the slow degradation of the NHS by our wonderful CONservative politicians and if the A&E department was under less pressure I would have considered an outing to obtain a transfusion to replenish my vital stock to continue to lead a normal life.
I have only given this a 1 star review because it was necessary to be able to write a review, zero would have been more appropriate.

High quality razor which might not suit Gillette users

Excellent quality but design seems to reduce shaving effectiveness. Unfortunately, having used Gillette for over 50 years, the ability to turn the razor over and shave the underside of the nose is a necessity and the Solimo does not offer this.

Bought these replacement razor heads looking for a good value alternative. Unfortunately I found while these fit fine to the razor they are quick to clog needing cleaning constantly when shaving and also they are very prone to cutting. Based on this while good value so is the build quality. So beware.

Like most folk these days, I'm trying to save money. Saw these & thought I'd give them a try. I've been using the original Gillett razors for years (even though I'm convinced the quality has dropped) but they are o expensive. These fitted my razor nicely & the 1st shave was pretty good, but that was it. The 2nd shave was bad; the 3rd shave was awful & gave up on the 4th. Used the whole pack (I couldn't afford to waste my money), But the shaves were awful, with rashes & Knicks every time. With Gillett, 1 blade last me 3 weeks, with 3 shaves per week. These barely lasted a week, so taking into account the costs, they were not good vale.

I thought for the cost it was worth giving it a try, after using these for 2 months I have to say they work better than the original ones with having a wider space between the blades which helps you to remove the build up of soap on the blades I am using these on the power handle, next time I need blades I will be buying these and not the original makes.

I do object to paying such a high price as is charged by leading razor manufacturers. For a good few years I used similar razor cartridges sold by Tesco and I was very disappointed when they ceased selling. BecauseI had to buy replacements via Gillette at double the price. So seeing these offered by Amazon I thought I would give them ago. Pleasantly surprised how well they preform and retain there sharpness. However I do think the thickness makes them feel rather clumsy, but still worth the savings they provide.
My latest order has left me puzzled as to why I had to pay more per blade by ordering 12 blades than 8? Amazon you will not catch out me again !!

Cheaper than Mach3 but not as sharp

I bought these instead of actual Mach3 blades as basically they were cheaper and less likely to be fake. Having used one now I'd say I'm slightly disappointed in that they're not quite as effective; don't seem to glide across the skin as effortlessly as Gillette's. So with a brand new blade you need to apply the same sort of effort as you would with a nearly-new Mach3. I guess we'll see how they last.

Best 3-blade system I’ve ever tried…

I am a 45 year old man with sensitive skin that shaves every other day. I am constantly looking for something that provides a better shave - I’ve tried all the 3-blade systems as well as many 5- blade systems and those online subscription services but have remained disappointed so frequently.

I then came across these blades compatible with the relatively basic Mach-3. This has to be the best 3-blade system ever. I have found the “best a man can get” system clogs, nick's and doesn’t last very long. But this provides a close shave time and time again and is certainly value for money. I do find it makes my skin quite dry, but I’d rather a really close shave and put some decent moisturiser on after than a shave that feels disappointing time and time again.

You can actually see that the gel strip is being used and you know when to change cartridge as opposed to guessing… I don’t think anyone would be disappointed with these blades if you’re looking for something that lasts and provides a quick and close shave and want a 3-blade system…

I’m sure there may be some reviews that are affiliated with various products, but I assure you these are my own views after using the product for about 4 weeks and I have no affiliation with the manufacturer or anyone else linked to this product. This is genuinely the best shave I’ve had for years.
