5.0 out of 5 starsSuperb keyboard. Best I've ever used. Lighweight and slim. Sturdy construction.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 January 2022
I bought this as an upgrade to my logitech G613 keyboard. I only use wireless keyboards and mice and have for years. The G915 Is a work of beauty. It has an aluminium casing. Amazing RGB. Precision Typing. I bought the tactile keys model. They come in Tactile, Linear, and Clicky. Although I like Clicky keys, I thought that the G915 might be too loud. With the tactile keys there is still feedback and a lighter clear click sound. I think if there existed a Clicky version which was less noisy than the actual one that logitech sell, somewhere between the tactile and the full clicky, that would be the optimum. However I feel I have made the right choice with the tactile model. THE NEGATIVE: The plastic that the key caps are made of is a little too slippery. It could do with being a little rougher. Your fingers can slip sometimes. They are an oil magnet, although to be honest that is to be expected with keyboards, it can be cleaned with isopropyl alchohol.

Changing and switching colour combinations or switching the keyboard to sync pulse to music is not really available properly from the function keys on the keyboard. You have to go into the G-Hub software to switch options. There are a myriad of permutations and downloadable presets. You can customise each key to your own hue.

Logitech supply a MicroUSB cable for charging, not usb-C . I've bought a small, short, usb-C to microUSB adaptor for £2.99 so that I can leave the adaptor plugged in permanently and just plug and unplug a usb-C cable into the adaptor. CONCLUSION: It's pricey, but if you want a top notch keyboard with amazing RGB lighting and almost unlimited settings permutations of the keyboard lighting. I recommend this keyboard. It's the best I've ever used. Although my Logitech G613 comes close, It is heavier with no RGB lighting.

3.0 out of 5 starsCould the G915 have been the greatest gaming keyboard?
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 November 2019
The Logitech G915 'Tactile' is a low latency wirless gaming keyboard which is truly worth of it's 'low profile' design.

After spending a couple of days with the keyboard, I had to send it back.

At the time of purchase, I paid £215 and was happy to until actually using the keyboard itself.

I try to keep my reviews to the point and not just point out the products flaws.

3 Things I Liked:

1. The low profile design looked super slick on my set-up.
2. I did not notice any delay with my keystokes whilst gaming.
3. Losing the wire also enhanced the visual aestehtic on my desk.

3 Things I Didn't Like:

1. Ergonomics: After 1 hour of gaming, I noticed my wrist starting to ache, this could be because of the low profile design and low profile keys and lack of a wrist rest to which my hand's telling me I need!.
2. Aesthetic: The illimunation of the keys isnt consistent, some are dimly lit, this leads me to believe there's not enough lighting zones on the keyboard.
3. Design: The build is good and from the moment you hold the keyboard you can feel the quality is there, sadly this doesnt extend to the edges of the keyboard whereby the edges are kinda sharp, not sharp as if it would cut you but just not refined enough.

I was really upset to send the keyboard back, I really wanted this to be a great purchase but sadly the £210 price tag does create an expectation that sadly wasnt met for me.

I would also like to see a TKL version of this keyboard, or a version that drops the Macros, boy did my muscle memory fall apart on this keyboard.

Good build. Poor Ergonomics. Doesnt meet expectations based on price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Generally good, but some flaws - disappointed
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 October 2019

Been using this for around 2 weeks, connected to a Windows 10 PC using Lightspeed wireless receiver for gaming, and to a Windows 10 laptop via Bluetooth for work purposes.

First the pros:

- Beautiful product - solid aluminium case, with rounded edges
- Adjustability - easy to raise and lower, and the legs (unlike previous Logitech keyboards I've owned) seem pretty tough
- Battery life - haven't had to recharge since I unpacked it, and have had 8-hour business days and numerous marathon gaming sessions
- Configurability - very easy to change colour schemes, key functions and macros using G-Hub software

Cons:

- Clicky keyboard is incredibly loud - colleagues on concalls say it sounds loud, and even when gaming with full-cover headphones on, you can still here the keys clacking in the background
- G-Hub - although easy to connect and configure using the wifi receiver, it's a different story on Bluetooth. G-Hub software on my laptop doesn't even detect the keyboard, so although it can be used as a basic Bluetooth keyboard, all the configuration options (key alignment, colour schemes, macros) are unavailable. Logitech support have been working on a ticket for over a week, and can't seem to find a fix
- Keycap design - as the panel's completely flat and the keys stand around 2cm above the panel, it's very easy for cables etc. to hook under the keycaps. With the slightest pressure, the keycaps go flying off. This has happened numerous times for the left-cursor key. The keycap latches don't seem very strong, and I can see this leading to either lost keycaps or broken latches pretty soon
- Value - £200+ seems pretty excessive, based on the keycap design and poor performance with Bluetooth.

I have been using Logitech G915 for almost a year, and here are my 2 cents;

Pros
- Build quality is good, if not great.
- Media Controls and programmable buttons are quite useful

Cons
- Wobbly keys! I tried Corsair K70 and many other models whose keys are stable and provide a better feeling. Logitech uses non-standard switches and keycaps (also hard to find replacements) that wobble up and down.
- Software... Logitech should be ashamed of releasing G Hub software with tons of bugs;
- G Hub was getting stuck in the initialization, so you had to re-install the software many times (You may search on Google for how many users are complaining about this.)
- Unintuitive UI. Features (Profiles, Macros) and the UI design are mediocre, confusing and still have many bugs.
- Keys are not very visible without the lighting on. Moreover, the secondary characters do not have any lighting.

It's 2021, and you still have to create another user account for Logitech because G Hub does not support the single sign-on (such as using your Google/Microsoft account).

Overall, it does not deserve the 200 euros price tag (Given that other models with better quality keycaps and switches are cheaper).

3.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Hardware - TERRIBLE Software
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 January 2022
Colour Name: BlackStyle Name: Tactile SwitchesPattern Name: SingleVerified Purchase
Having recently purchased a G815 (wired) version of this keyboard and been *incredibly* impressed, I took the unusual decision to replace that almost right away with this wireless version, partnering it with a wireless G903s mouse. As I try to do with all my reviews, I'll provide a series of positive and negative points - although please note that my previous review for the 815 covers the basics. Here's I'm going to focus specifically on the wireless aspects of the 915.

Positives
1. Speed - Logitech claim that the "Lightspeed" approach to the handshake between the USB- key transmitter and the 915 is a game changer. I'm tempted to agree. In use, I'm unable to discern any difference between the wired 815 and this 915 - and I'm a 90wpm touch-typist.
2. Reliability - Although I don't separate my keyboard and the transmitter by huge distances, the keyboard continues to work perfectly at a range of 2+ metres - and does not need to be "pointed" at the USB adapter.
3. Ergonomics and Comfort - the 915 is very solidly built (I'm using the "Tactile" edition) and an absolute joy to type with [except for the annoying G-keys to the left of the main keyboard - see my 815 review]. The additional convenience of being able to move it around on my desk - lift it out of the way if needed - makes this a joy to work with.

Negatives.
1. The configuration/setup - this is completely non-intuitive and takes a while [and maybe even a ping to Logitech for help] to get set up properly. I use my keyboard with the same computer running both Windows and Linux [dual boot] but the software doesn't run under Linux [fair enough]. Except that by default, the keyboard assumes the software will be running, so when using with Linux, the configuration would revert to the [useless] factory defaults. Switching the thing [in to "on board mode" requires diving quite deep into the G-Hub software - the location is non-obvious, the on-screen functionality not intelligently labelled and there are no easy-to-access guides as to how to do this. Which is STUPID.

2. Although the keys are back-lit by LEDs, note that they only light up the "main" function of each key. So things like the numeric keys along the top of the keyboard, which have shifted functions for things like the pound sign or brackets, do not light up those alternate characters. Fine if you're a touch-typist, but frustrating if you're not.

3. Forced Configuration Changes... Today, after several weeks of very happy use, I was using my system with Windows and I kept hearing the trilling noise that Windows makes when a peripheral is being connected or disconnected. Then my keyboard started ignoring random key-presses. Then all the keyboard LEDs went out. When I fired up G-Hub, I could see that G-Hub itself was auto-updating [no permission requested] and then went on to auto-update the firmware in my keyboard. No on-screen messages, no requesting permission, no attempt to find out if this was a convenient time.

This is absolutely inexcusable. When we buy a physical thing like a keyboard, it becomes our possession. It is entirely unacceptable for Logitech to take control of the device without seeking permission first.

Worse, when the update process ended, it left the keyboard dead. I literally had to switch everything on and off to get the keyboard to be recognised by my computer once more.

The arrogance of a company that thinks they can:-
1. Force software updates on your hardware without notification or asking permission
2. Do it without giving you ANY on-screen notifications or warnings
3. Give you no means to check whether the process was active or complete [the on-screen display in the G-Hub software was useless - it kept randomly flicking between "on board mode" and "downloading" - neither of which mean anything useful
4. Leave your hardware in a failed state that requires power cycle resets to reactivate

cannot be over-stated. Disgusting arrogance from Logitech.

Sum-Up/Overall.
This is an epic, epic keyboard. It is a delight to use and is, by a country mile, the most comfortable and ergonomic I have tried. I would LOVE to give it five stars. But the software needed to set it up and make it work - and the arrogance of the way Logitech have implemented it, mean that I can't give it more than 3 stars - and that is generous.

If you're willing to put up with random drop-outs; if you've got a spare, "dumb" keyboard as an emergency backup and if you want possibly the best wireless keyboard hardware and certainly the best ergonomic tactile experience, this is a reasonable choice. But be warned - the software is worse than useless and as I've just learned, perfectly capable of disrupting your work without warning or user choice.

Buyer beware!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tactile is slightly harder to press than Clicky
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 August 2020
Colour Name: BlackStyle Name: Clicky SwitchesPattern Name: SingleVerified Purchase
I thought I'd hate the keyboard after having bad experience using the Tactile version but it's been great so far. I disliked the Tactile version a lot due to the fact that I'm coming from Cherry MX Reds, and those require 45g of force for a key press, while these require 50g. The bump or whatever Tactile has when you first press onto the keys makes you have to press the keys harder than the Clicky version.

Typing on the keyboard feels great but the clicky sound is a bit too loud in certain scenarios. I wear headphones and often don't hear the clicks but there are times when I do, and this can be a deal breaker for some. It takes some time to get used to the keyboard due to the macro switches being next to the keys that's used while typing, and in certain games, you might find yourself pressing the G5 button instead of CTRL. I've gotten used to it after a week, so you guys might as well.

I'm just wondering why Logitech is so hesitant to release the Linear version in the UK, as I'm sure that model would be a great alternative for a loud keyboard like the Clicky version.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the upgrade
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 April 2022

I was desperate for a keyboard I could easily use between 2 x computers (work and personal) and with all the extra hours using one I decided to spend more than I usually would.

So far, I'm very happy with it, even though at first I did have some discomfort when using. Talking of which, I did think for the price the least they could have done is include an optional wrist rest. I'm a big fan of all the customization options though and the volume scroll is a really welcome feature compared to the usual keys.

Lastly, it doesn't feel quite as sturdy/premium for the huge price as I'd have hoped so will have to see how long it lasts (bearing in mind my £30 keyboard was still going strong a decade on), but all happy for now.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not plain sailing for Linux or KVM users
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 May 2022
Colour Name: BlackStyle Name: Tactile SwitchesPattern Name: SingleVerified Purchase
Long review, sorry, the TL;DR is it probably isn't compatible with your KVM hot key switching and the software options for driving the LEDs if you are a Linux user all suck a bit.

There are loads of online reviews for the Logitech G915 and pretty much all of them agree that it is an excellent keyboard, possibly the best wireless gaming keyboard going, 5/5 all round.

So why a 4-star review?

Well, I use multiple computers half of which run Linux and connected to my keyboard and monitor via a TESmart 4-port KVM.

The keyboard itself is good, everything the reviews claim. The tactile switches have a smooth action which is great for typing (I have yet to try gaming on this keyboard). I do have some criticisms though - the keytops are low profile and not standard so if you like customised keytops this probably isn't the one for you, also the keyboard really needs to be lit - it is impossible to read the legends even in bright ambient light so if you are not a touch-typist that might be an issue, though it will wake up if you hit a neutral key like control. Other minor niggles include the location of the macro keys on the left of the keyboard - but that only takes a short while to get used to and the fact that (on mine at least) the return key feels a bit "dead". Finally the keytops show grease and fingermarks readily.

The killer for me as a daily driver is that it does not work at all connected to the dedicated keyboard input of my TESmart KVM so you cannot use the hot-key switching. It works OK connected through the KVM general USB interface but then you need another way of switching between computers such as the IR remote or the buttons on the KVM itself. As my TESmart is hidden out of the way neither is an option for me. To be fair this is also likely true of all the other RGB gaming keyboards out there - they all need custom functions so have extra USB HID endpoints and extra bits of protocol for driving the RGB which makes them fundamentally incompatible with a KVM which wants to hide the real keyboard and just present a standard HID keyboard to the PC.

Finally the functionality offered by the various software packages on Linux is really not that great. I should stress that this is nothing to do with Logitech - except that they have not ported GHub to Linux. As a manufacturer they are not alone in this but I feel it is a mistake as Linux is finally getting to be a big enough market share that ignoring it is going to hurt sales (even if only a little).

I've tried ratbagd+piper - which is OK but not very flexible in the LED zones (basically the logo is one "LED" and the rest of the keyboard is the other). It also writes to the onboard flash profile storage but on my machine seems to kill all but the first, a further limitation is that it only works with the keyboard in wired mode, not wireless (though there's a sort of hacky workaround if you only have one receiver and one device attached).

Openrgb is also a bit limited, it can at least control individual LEDs but the UI is fairly clunky, and it *doesn't* have the ability to save to the onboard profiles as far as I can see so there is always a brief bit of rainbow scrolling when the keyboard first wakes up.

There's also g810-led which I couldn't really get to work at all, and keyleds which I haven't yet tried.

Finally there is solaar, which can do what it does with the keyboard - but that does not include controlling the LEDs

It's a nice keyboard, if you just use Windows and have the keyboard (or the receiver) plugged directly into the PC it is fine. GHub has its foibles - I couldn't get it to install at first because it picked up an old HTTP proxy setting, half used it and didn't give a meaningful error message, but it's not the only piece of software I've had that reacted badly to things not being as expected. I managed to figure out what was going on and, now that it's installed, seems to work as designed (whether that's a good or a bad thing I'll leave for you to decide).

Never owned such an expensive keyboard. But work a lot so thought I could get a good one.

Pros:
Nice finish, nice keys with good feedback, lighting effects

Cons:
Absolutely horrendous software. I am sorry Logitech, but how did this get past your quality control? Very very disappointed. This ruins the whole experience and I am afraid the software is just so horrible (tried on both mac and Windows) that I have to give an overall of 1 stars...

1.0 out of 5 stars I do not like this at all.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 March 2022
Colour Name: BlackStyle Name: Tactile SwitchesPattern Name: SingleVerified Purchase
My current keyboard (Cooler Master CK550) appeared to be on its way out, so I decided to look out for something new, and I found this for £100 on sale. I already own, and love, my Logitech G502 mouse, so I was hopeful that the same quality could be found in Logitech's keyboards.

My expectations were not met.

I do not like this at all.

The first thing that I noticed, is that this keyboard is really heavy. It is a full-sized keyboard, so weight is to be expected, but the body is made exclusively out of aluminium, which really gives it some heft, in all of the wrong ways. The build quality is excellent, but it is not worth the trade.

The second thing that I noticed, is that either my unit is defective, or the software is buggy. I cannot for the life of me upload a profile onto the keyboard's memory. This works just fine with my mouse, but when I try to do the same thing with this keyboard, it reverts back to its default settings. Its not a massive issue, because I am likely to be using this on my primary PC 99% of the time, but waiting for the Logitech software to eventually load up before my lighting/macros are available, isn't great.

Finally, and this is probably the biggest issue for me: I hate the feel of the switches. I've never used Brown switches before, as I have always gravitated towards Blues, but these feel awful. They just feel spongy and heavy, and entirely unpleasant to use for typing, or for playing games with. I honestly feel like the cheap business laptop that I use for work has a better keyboard than this.

This keyboard just didn't work for me. Im not sure how much of it is just personal preference, and how much of this is just a poor quality product, but I do know that I really don't like this keyboard, and I will be returning it.
