Really good value for a larger bottom

Ok so we have a severely disabled daughter who is 28 but is like a 3 month old baby. So yes still in nappies etc etc.
We used to.use Johnson's baby wipes & have them on subscription....however people have got greedy & are charging way too much....shame on you!! We had used those for years. We then tried Huggies....omg total rubbish. Now we usually pop up asda to buy Pampers wipes by the box. However due to health reasons (not covid) we could not get out & pampers are too expensive on Amazon we thought we would try these.
Now remember we are not talking little baby's bottom here, we are talking 28 years old woman so thats a totally different league. You could use wet cotton balls on a baby's bottom as my wife did for our first....you certainly CANNOT do that for an adult bottom.
Ok here's thevreasons why they are good & we will be back for more & put them on subscription 😁
1. Good size wipe....important for the adult bottom.
2. Nice & moist but not dripping....you want moist in order to remove & clean.
3. They dont rip when you pull them out unlike Huggies 😡 So important when elbows up to ***t
4. Good value for money. This again is important as believe me when I say its expensive having a disabled daughter or son.

So if you like wasting money buy huggies if not buy these. They have been tested to the max...trust me on that 😂 Totally different to a baby's small bottom.

Beware confusion - two totally different products with same branding - one rubbish

It's worth being aware that there's two completely different products being sold under the same 'Mama Bear Sensitive Unscented' branding, check out the photo's on my review. One is substantially better than the other. The branding on the packaging is the same and the main differences are the sheet-count, plastic dispensing lid, and ingredients. The good version has 56 wipes per pack with a plastic dispenser lid for resealing the pack, the wipes are more square, have a dimpled texture. The rubbish ones are only have a sticker to seal the packet but have slightly more at 64 wipes per pack, but the quality of the wipes themselves are rubbish - they're the ones that a few brands have swapped too where they stretch when being used and end up long and thin with very little feeling of structural integrity to keep the dirty business away from your hands. Not pleasant at all. I prefer the better wipes by a country-mile even if you get a few less per pack. The biggest annoyance for me is that being a different product entirely is not communicated and seems to be disguised by the branding, I highly recommend that these different wipes get defined with different brand please, parents can be very loyal to the brands they trust and getting a different product in the same packaging is disruptive - especially when one is far superior to the other!

Ok, I know that my life has reached a new low when I feel it necessary to compose a review about baby wipes, but lockdown does strange things to perspective.

When I first bought these a couple of years ago they were a great alternative to the increasingly expensive Pampers brand that I had been buying. They were great but when you need a constant suppl of these and nappies, something has to give.

At first, the switch was fine; the Amazon ones seemed near enough in quality and were about half the price. But over time Amazon has done what it always does - exploits it's near monopoly position to squeeze out the competition with lower prices, then start reducing the quality bit by bit, hoping no one notices or cares enough.

At first, I didn't care enough; they weren't too bad and, after all, they were a lot cheaper. But over time, the quality has deteriorated more and more. Now there have just been too many times when you pull out one and 4 come out at the same time. Or you wipe your child's arse and half of it stays there, rather than on the wipe. Too many times when I've needed 3 hands to peel apart the increasingly thinning wipes.

There comes a point where their cheapness doesn't actually matter because they are so bloody annoying each and every time you use them. That point is now and I'll be switching back to pampers whilst I scrabble to try and piece my sad, hollow life together again.

I would like to start by saying I absolutely love Mama Bear products, I have tried nappies, cream, shampoo and wipes for my little one.

PROS: very soft, almost no scent at all, excellent for sensitive baby skin, they don't dry out at all (I had a pack open for 2 months and forgotten in my bag, and they were still moist)

CONS: they come out of pack in bulk, like 10 wipes at the time (not always, but happens very often and it's quite annoying)

So I quite liked these wipes and ordered them a few times already. But today I almost got a mini heart attack when I tried to pull out a wipe out - as seen in a photo, there was something black pressed between 2 wipes! This is how I pulled them out (as previously said, you often get a lot more than you need). It's absolutely disgusting, I have no idea what it is but I definitely won't be buying these again. I gave the product 2 stars as up until today I thought these wipes were great and there are a lot of positives to them, I just personally can't go past what happened today.

Customer service has been great and I got my money back, but still wanted to write a review as I assume we all want best for our babies and this is not the best you can get.

Was really hoping these would be as good as the Waterwipes brand, as they are so much cheaper. But unfortunately they really aren’t. The texture is a bit soapy almost, harder to wipe off dirt and pop. And every time you take one, you get at least two wipes. And finally, the plastic lids attached to the package fall off easily, making them useless. See image, I had many in the box I couldn’t use.

If you’re someone like me who has repeat-ordered this product for some time, please beware the packaging has changed and therefore wipes may no longer be fit for purpose. The USP of these wipes vs others for me was always the clickable plastic lid. Yes I know not the most eco friendly, but in the long run possibly better on planet and pocket than binning a load of unused, dried out wipes that were unable to be sealed properly and therefore used. Unfortunately my latest order turned up to be just that - a batch of wipes with flimsy film lids, just the same as ones I could have bought (for less money) anywhere else. The ones all the budget supermarkets stock in bulk and competitively priced.

I’m a bit annoyed I’ve remained loyal to this brand and bought boxes and boxes of their products yet they’ve not bothered to update the product description to make customers aware a significant packaging change has been made.

Won’t be ordering again.

I have been using mamabear baby wipes since its launch, and have proudly recommended this product to many of my friends because of its good quality and the price. it's a shame that the first review I write down for the brand is two stars but I feel I have to say something and hopefully the message can be passed on to the manufacturer. I don't know why the brand decided to change its package, from the end-user +daily user perspective, it is a downgrade. the package feels flimsy, the wipes are overly watered and extremely hard to take out without making a "train". If I haven't used the previous version I would have gave it a 3 or 4 stars, unfortunately I have. and I know how good it was before.

The previous edition of these wipes (previously in a greeny-blue package) were amazing but the new ones, in the purple packaging, are awful I'm afraid. They feel gross, they're super soapy and smell strange; a complete departure from my previous purchase of what I believed to be the same item. Even the packaging material feels inferior.
Whoever authorised the change needs their head looking at.

This item just changed entirely for the worse. The packaging is different, the wipe is untextured which makes it worse at lifting baby stuff and critically, they are significantly less wet than they used to be, which was their whole selling point for me as now I have to use 2-3 wipes more per situation than I did previously. I tried to illustrate this by taking half a piece of toilet paper and pressing firmly on each.

The packaging used to have a plastic lid that sealed the pack so well that the wipes would stay moist for ages. Now it has the same annoying self-adhesive lid that every other make has, that doesn’t seal after a while. So the wipes go dry.

As a lot of rewievs here say the wipes had changed.. I don't mind the lid f it, but the wipes as wipes are completely different, i did a comparison because i had a pack left from half a year ago and you can se the difference. They're not as wet as the old ones not as thick and they don't glide on my babys' bum anymore.. But suprisingly the price is the same but the quality dropped.. Shock... anyway won't order them probably... anymore..
