BEST EVER NAIL CLIPPERS!

Wow. These were bought to replace two of the chemist bought ones that we can never find (because people don’t put them back in their place). SORRY. IM ABOUT TO BE GROSS. Don’t cut my toenails as much as I used to because for health reasons I’m very shaky and tend to draw an unnerving amount of blood.
These come in a tin and look a bit scary. BUT THEY ARE FANTASTIC. They so sturdy and precise and do exactly what you mean for them to do. No blood, no catching, no over cut. What a relief. I think they would also make a great alternative to socks as a gift. They feel a bit “butch”, but they great for anyone. Fine brittle nails or thick solid nails.

Not particularly wide jawed clippers sold as wide jawed for toenails

These clippers were sold with having a wide jaw as toe clippers. They are standard size and not particularly wide at all. Yes, wider than the narrowest smallest clippers but that’s not the point they are not wide jawed. That’s the sole reason that I bought them. Yes they look quite good quality, don’t know for sure yet but I’ve chucked them in a draw alongside another standard size clippers.

My husband nail are super thick and hard. Every year I needs to buy a lots of nail clipper because everytimes trimmed his nail, that nail clipper not sharp anymore. Second to third time use, wont feel trimmed properly but it cracked at the side of nail. This unique nail clipper so perfect and smooth. Very sharp. Snaps nails off like a guillotine

Absolutely brilliant cutter. I bought it for my 74 yr old father whose nails are quite thick and need to be cut with those scissor-type cutters but this is wide, has a huge opening angle and has more than enough pressure when pushed down to chop off nails twice as thick as my dads and I’m sure that kinda nail doesn’t exist lol my dad loves it.

If a normal nail clipper was a bicycle, this would be a motorcycle.

The Holy Grail of nail clippers

I play guitar so nail clipping is a bit of a regular chore. Some guitarists like to play with their nails but I like mine consistently nice and short so I have to clip my nails maybe two or three times per week.

I have spent years trying to find a decent nail clipper and my house is like a nail clipper graveyard. I recently bought a full manicure set for half the price of this because it looked good but was extremely disappointed. This set just arrived half an hour ago and I had resisted the urge to trim my nails knowing they were coming. I was not disappointed. Sometimes you can just tell from the weight of something that it is quality and that is definitely the case here. The action is very smooth, unlike the jerkiness of the standard clipper mechanism so you have more control over pressure. The jaws open wide enough to get a finger in so that they are easy to clean - my others have got like the underneath of a fridge until I have taken time out for the fiddly process of cleaning them.

I want to add that as a guitarist, getting my nails nice and short is like walking a precipice, you cut too close and it can be so painful that you can't play for a few days - or even worse, it leads to an infection. So, clipping as close as safely possible followed by some filing is my method but I have had as much difficulty finding a decent nail file. In the past, I have resorted to cutting up certain grades of abrasives from my belt sander and gluing them to a stick - so I would like to give an honorary mention to the nail file which came in this set. It wasn't the same as the one pictured which was an initial disappointment. It looked like the flimsy type I have tried before but it is actually very rigid and made light work of finishing my nails off. I think I might have happily paid the price of this set just for the file.

Two final points, firstly, mine came in a tin with an additional velvet like bag. Secondly, there is a magnet at the end of one of the handles, the purpose of which escapes me.

In conclusion, my search for the perfect nail clippers has reached its end. If James Dyson, Elon Musk, Steve Jobs and Leo Fender got together, they couldn't have designed a better nail clipper.

Excellent for clipping puppy's nails

We have a vizsla puppy who is now 4.5 months old. We trim his nails every week to (1) get him used to it and (2) help keep his pasterns (dog “wrists”) straight – when their nails are too long they start walking on the back of their paw pads to avoid discomfort, especially on hard floors, which then can impact how their pasterns develop.
The breeder showed us how to clip his nails using regular human toenail clippers. That worked fantastic for a while, but the pup outgrew the nail clippers we had in the bathroom - his nails are now too thick, and our clippers don't open wide enough anymore. I’ve tried using special dog nail clippers but all the ones I tried were awkward to use compared to human toenail clippers, too large, and our puppy simply wouldn't let us do his nails with them, he kept trying to bite the clippers, and I kept freaking out that I'd cut too much of the nail off and end up with a bleeding pup.
These Ushion 15mm wide clippers were a great find. Not only are they large enough for our pup’s nails (it looks like they’re going to stay large enough for a long while yet), they are also fabulously sharp. They go through the pup’s hard nails like butter, and not a squeak from him, either. I can do all his paws, including dewclaws, in one sitting and he naps through the entire procedure!
I definitely recommend these clippers. They are easy to use, a bit larger than our old toenail clippers, which is great, they open wide, and are very sharp. Even better than I expected.
The price reflects the quality, but a single nail clipping session at the groomer’s costs £8, so by using these clippers twice I’ve already saved money.

Best clippers I've ever used! I'm a bit of a sharp thing freak. I've had a pocket knife since I was a wee lad. These clippers are very easy to hold, and feel very natural in the hand. The fact the cutting Jaws open so wide mean you can cut easily any thickness of nail. If you don't mind stumping up a tenner for something to clip nails, then these are great. They also come in a wee tin box with a nail file.

These nail clippers are the best I've ever had! They're incredible. Just the slightest pressure over your nail to cut and it smoothly and cleanly takes the nail off without having to press down hard for that clip! Seriously, you don't realise that the nail has been cut until it falls into your lap or on the surface of where you are doing your nails! You also, receive a little metal file with it which is handy if you're without an Emery board. It also, comes in its very own tin and has its own pouch bag with it too, inside the tin. It is very well presented. I recommend wholeheartedly, without a doubt. It's simply the best nail clipper out there in my opinion!

No matter how careful you are with these clippers they are bloody dangerous….when you close the cutters they ‘draw’ the nail into the cutters and end up over cutting and cutting the skin and bleeding toes…..I have tried a few times with the same results…..I just cannot understand all the rave reviews….they are blooming useless

These clippers are exactly what I wanted. Firstly they are decent length and easy to hold. Secondly the jaw of the clippers is extra wide in terms of getting a thicker nail inside it. Perfect. However, that perfection is a double edged sword. Probably like a lot of people buying these, I find cutting my toe nails very difficult (for me, it's due to arthritis). Also toe nail cutting somehow seems to fall into that range of too near for your distance glasses but too far for your reading glasses, so wielding a sharp cutting implement while half blind is not an easy task (or even a sensible one but hey ho, needs must). I now have 2 plasters on one foot and a few nails that are now a bit too low. The more restricted clippers at least prevent you from accidentally snipping more than you meant to. That said, my one thicker toe nail was a snip. Brilliant. Perhaps though, I need to use my more restricted clippers for my other nails and just get this clipper out for the thicker nail. Hopefully less blood that way. 🙄

So yes, great clippers but care needed if using them yourself. Ideally a friend giving you a pedicure would be the optimal choice. 😁
