Good non plastic poo bags

These feel quite different to normal poo bags. You can tell they’re made of starch - if you’ve ever had a magazine come in a potato starch wrapper the feel is like that but much thicker. I was worried they’d disintegrate once they held a poo but I can confirm you can fill them with plenty of poop and they hold fast. I haven’t had one rip or break yet.

I did find them a bit hard to tear off the roll at first. I was stood in the dark with my torch on the bag, trying and failing to find where to separate them. You have to pull quite hard. But there’s definitely a knack to it and I’m now wondering why I had trouble at the start.

When I finished the first roll I was pleased to see they have a cardboard inner. The poo bags of the future, I think. I shall buy these again.

Poor quality, difficult to tear from the roll

Not too happy with these bags. They're really difficult to tear off the roll, making it a time consuming job that's especially difficult with gloves on in winter. Fiddly to open too. Many of them have split down the sides or ripped with large holes making them unusable, meaning that you actually get far fewer bags than advertised. I usually buy the MyAlpha Pet bags, which are far superior in quality and ease of use (and are also 100% cornstarch), but sadly these have become unavailable recently and seem to be at a ridiculously inflated price when they are, so I am looking for alternatives. I don't think I'll be using this brand again. They're better than nothing of course and they are cornstarch, which is the only true environmentally-friendly poo bag, but they're just so frustrating to use that for me, they aren't worth the stress.

Having purchased the moss green coloured bags in Aug 2019, I ordered again in November 2020.
The latter bags where a lighter, slightly shinier blue-green colour.
Unfortunately, these new ones are impossible to open the bags easily.
It required two hands, and is nothing like the previous product.
They both look to be made by Cycluck, so I don't think they are knock-off. However, they do not seem to be for sale on Amazon any more!!
I am very disappointed! Time to try another manufacturer

I repeat ordered this product, as I loved it the first time. Made 100% out of corn starch and was fully compostable.
When I pressed “order again” I’ve been sent some plastic nock offs. They’re not compostable and the packaging had clearly changed.
If you are buying these to avoid plastic, don’t bother. They are greenwashing. See pictures for the change in product.

Biodegrade whilst you are using them

I don’t know if we had a duff batch, but these are easily the worst poo bags we have ever used. Half the time the bags ripped in half whilst trying to get them off the roll. The rest of the time the poo would literally fall through the bag (we have a small dog, so not a heavy poo).

Very disappointed and frustrated with these bags. No matter how careful you are, a high proportion of the bags rip as you take them off the roll. Sometimes the bottom, sometimes the top, sometimes both. I have had 5 bags in a row fail.
The second issue I have with them is that they don't contain the odour.
Good points - size is good.

These bags may be biodegradable but they are awful. They split before you've even got them off the roll! Even if you get them off the roll successfully they split as soon as you try to open them. Definitely WON'T be buying again.

These bags are great by being biodegradable, but the plot and you end up with your fingers going through the bag- this happened endless times, and I had to throw them away.A waste of money, and very unpleasant.Not fit for purpose.

These bags are not fit for purpose. When you try to tear them off the roll they split which makes them unusable. They also stick together so even if you've managed to tear off a bag in one piece either you can't open them at all or stand faffing for minutes.
Trying to be more eco friendly but I cannot use these so they'll have to go in the bin.
If you're after a bit of poo bag aggro in your life, these are the ones.

The bags are terrible quality, they are really hard to unfold and open as very stuck together and in opening it’s very likely you’ll rip it they are that light and flimsy.
Quality is bad some are torn or not sealed at the bottom so poop falls out or worse gets on hand.
I know they are a degradable plastic so expected a different feel to them but that does not excuse them not being fit for purpose. Waste of money

These bags often have little slices through them - sometimes they’re at the top, but somethings they’re at the bottom! The bags are otherwise ok but you need to keep an eye out for these ones (about 1 in 5) or you’d end up with a handful of trouble
