Absolutely amazing

I spilled some red wine on the floor the night before using this, and panic cleaned the carpet which left a lovely brownish stain this morning. I sprayed this on and left for 5 minutes, dabbed it off and it got rid of the stain in minutes! Amazing stuff and really saved me some money - if it didn’t work I would have had to have booked a professional cleaner!! (Before and after photos)

Recently bought a house and wanted to freshen up the carpets, which are fairly new (around 2 years old) but had some stains from the previous owner. The spray did not remove any of them, it just left a lighter "ring" around the edge of the stains, so now they look worse. The powder is basically shake and vac. It has a nice smell and makes the carpet feel a bit nicer (might be placebo) but it's just expensive, perfumed powder. Absolutely waste of time and money.

Good results, messy cleaning process

This did make a difference on my carpet, but don’t expect 100% cleanliness. I have cream carpets, so I can see some stain residues after use.
However, using this product is not really a walk in the park - you have to brush the powder in first (which is quite exhausting) and then hoover up. Hoovering up is rather messy, takes a few recharges if you are on dyson max mode (and a few emptying of the container with the fine dust flying around).
You also need to dust afterwards, as there will be a layer of fine white dust everywhere.
I would strongly recommend wearing a mask while brushing in and hoovering/emptying the powder.
The leftover smell is very, very strong and I don’t find it pleasant. Make sure to have the room well ventilated (ideally with air purifier in) if you intend to sleep in it on the same day and preferably clean as early as possible to leave time for ventilation.
I would use this product again, but I do need to forget how messy this process was first. I did manage to improve the look of the carpet, particularly in the places where a regular carpet stain spray didn’t work.

This is amazing. I spilled red wine on my beige carpet, went into panic mode, did my best to clean it up, including using Vanish powder mixed with cold water. I didn't have any white vinegar, or white wine, unfortunately, so couldn't use the usual tried and tested home remedies. Carpet dried out overnight, next day there was still a stain, albeit faded, but it had turned brown in the process. Did some research, ordered this, arrived next day, and ... bingo .... stain gone with just one application. This has saved my bacon as I'm in the process of selling my property! Thank you Amazon for your lightning quick delivery. I highly recommend this product, plus, it's a great price for two containers. I'll never worry about carpet or upholstery stains again!

Wanted to two remove some doggy foot prints, usually use water & vinegar but this can leave a smell for a bit & so I stayed to look up alternatives; this product had good reviews... I tested on underside of my sofa cushions which are grey & it seemed okay. However, as you can probably see it’s RUINED the sofa which I only bought in April. Been absolutely devastated all week so only just writing review but I really wanted to warn other people. Do not use it!

Over the moon. My cat is 18 now and with the smell of 10 cats downstairs coming up when they are away, he poops around the top door. I tried moving his litter tray but obviously it can’t be behind the door. I even put a cloth down but he moves around. The spray has lifted the staining and smell. Gobsmacked. I bought this for someone else. The person who used it had spilled hot chocolate on a new light coloured carpet. The stain looked bad, so there was little hope of success. This product seemed promising so the person whose carpet got stained asked me to purchase this. After the first application, I was told it was not evident if the stain had been completely removed, since the carpet was still damp. After a second application, immediately afterwards, I was told the carpet remained damp so it didn’t look like it worked. The person I purchased it felt that the carpet was ruined. In the morning, when the carpet has fully dried, there was no trace left of the hot chocolate stain. I saw a photo of the results and I must remark, I was impressed. I had thought that the carpet was ruined forever but looks like this stuff is worth trying. I cannot recommend this highly enough if after seeing the results.

So you know when what it says on the bottle just doesn't reflect how it actually works?! Well, this definitely isn't the case for this stuff! Bought it alongside a new rug as I figured at some point I'd need a stain remover. It happened.. the cat knocked half a glass of red wine from the coffee table all over the rug! Suddenly remembered I'd bought the vanish, and in a panic grabbed it and squirted it all over the stains.. plural.. it was everywhere. I'm not even slightly kidding, the red wine vanished like those eraser pens we all had as a kid - it was like some freaky magic! I haven't used it on dried on stains as yet, but on fresh stains it's an absolute miracle worker! Wizardry does exist in the form of the vanish carpet spray.

Not a full 5 stars as when I opened the package the products were coverd in white powder. Could not find a hole or opening so wiped off and put in cupboard. Still there is a small amount of white powder so unsure where coming from. I would suggest you be careful when opening the box. Still a full bag not much escaped, Can not wait to use later

Overall, this is a good carpet/upholstery cleaner that is simple to use and effective - the thing I particularly like is that it doesn't leave rings. You literally dab it onto the stain, leave it a while if necessary and then blot it.

The thing I didn't like was that I received versions of this cleaner which were intended for an overseas market. The bottles featured another language and stickers in English were stuck over the original labels. I would prefer items intended specifically for the UK market or to be told at the time of order that I might receive a product intended for another market.
