Awesome Plasters

Brilliant on so many levels.

As a challenge walker I am never without these especially on the long distance walks 30-90 miles.

They are like a second skin and the moment you feel any discomfort in your shoe, boot or trainer then stick one of these on and it simply fades away.

The protection against rubbing is awesome and it literally moulds itself to the shape of the foot, heel, toes or whatever you stick this against.

These are pricey but I have found nothing beats it ....including Moleskin.

Just make sure you by the individual packs (large and small ones) rather than the mixed one as they are far better when doing the big walks.

Please don't put these on open wounds

Compeed say you can put these plasters on to blisters that have burst as long as the wound is 'clean and dry'
When I wore these on open wounds that were clean and as dry as an open wound can be I had an 'adverse' reaction
A blister formed under the plaster which spread accross my foot and destroyed the skin. I finally drained the blister after days of severe pain, and had to bandage my feet for weeks. I couldn't wear shoes or walk. The poiatrist said these should only be worn to PREVENT blisters
Please please do not make the same mistake as me

As a middle aged man, my feet sweat a lot. In fact maybe an abnormal amount, which may partially be up to the vast amount of hair on my big toes. These blister plasters really helped my feet when i walked to work and into tesco to get my marmite, and stopped the blisters before they came. In such a large pack, even if the sweat makes them drop off after just a couple of days, they can be replaced by the many that come in the pack. I even noticed a reduction in odour, as my feet no longer smell like wet cats! Extraordinary!

I've been using these not only for my blisters but also to help with adult acne under my mask. They've worked wonders at helping draw the gunk out of my skin while I'm sleeping too. As the adhesive is quite strong you do have to be careful taking them off if you do use them on your face

I was so fed up of putting plasters on when I was breaking in new shoes and they start to peel and hang off after a couple of hours, you get a blister and you can’t rely on a plaster to stay put to bring you comfort. I tried these once and I’m fully converted. They’re clear and you can’t tell you’re wearing a plaster. They don’t budge, even in water, so you can keep them on for as long as needed. I put them on to prevent blisters and they haven’t let me down yet - whether it’s breaking in new shoes or on a long walk (they recently got me through a half marathon). They only place I’d get a blister is where I haven’t used one. If you’ve missed the opportunity to apply one and you’ve got a blister, these provide the ultimate comfort to put your shoes back on and carry on without any pain. They’re a bit pricey for regular use but I know I can walk anywhere in any shoes for as long as I want without any pain/discomfort and without a tatty plaster hanging off my foot. 5*

Usually it doesn't pay to buy the well known brand of a product, the cheaper alternative is usually just as good and just way cheeper but not with blister plasters.
Compeed are just simply in a League of their own when it comes to protecting feet with ultra painfull blisters!
I had three blisters on my right foot - each side of my feet below my toes and heal and four blisters on my left foot - both sides, the bone at the top of my foot and heal and after covering them all with these medium Compeed Blister Plasters I was able to put a pair of socks on and my shoes and go to work that day pain free and able to walk!
I also only had to replace one while my feet healed and that was because it got stuck to my sock as it had uncurled abit.
These will know be a constant of my first aid box!
And for all you men out there we don't intentionally buy shoes that cut our feet, I'd worn those particular sliders a number of times before with no problem, it was just a longer walk than I normally take wearing them and it was a hot day!
And yeah it felt like I'd been slashed with a razor as well as looking like it.

Good solution when out walking

I’ve used many times before and these were no different. A great solution for those days with ever-growing kids when boots or shoes don’t quite fit and they get a rub on a walk. Or for adults too when we wear work shoes for long days, or when we run around too much chasing ever-growing kids!

Really easy to use, these are worth the purchase. The only thing I’ve reduced it to 4 stars for is adhesion. Sometimes they stick really well. Sometimes they don’t. When they do, like the instructions say, you have to just wait for them to come off, usually in, or just after a shower, a few days later. Fully dry, and then air-dry feet before putting them on. And don’t touch the sticky surface at all.

They have been pulled up and off by the the shoes, but this seems to be mainly due to bad luck of where the shoes rubs.

I've been using these since my teens (in the Palaeolithic!) and, since I still frequently make the mistake of buying shoes that rub my heels, have been trying to find a value replacement ever since. But none come close to Compeed for effectiveness. They protect the skin, no matter how damaged, and help with healing.

The plasters stay on for a day's wear. If you want them to stick after you've gone to bed, you'll have to wear socks as they're really not very sticky. Also, the box can be really awkward to open - the end that looks like a hinge is the end that lifts up! These irritations are minor compared to hobbling around with bleeding feet, so suck it up and pay the price - they're worth it.

Perfect perfect perfect , had a blister on each heel the size of a £2 coin and had taken a number of skin layers off , were stinging , painful and a damn right mess , I used the trick of warming the plasters up and stuck them under my armpits for 5 minutes and they adhered great & it’s like having soft cushions on , stinging went within 30 secs , I did take them off for a bit to help dry up the blisters but in 5 minutes the stinging pain came back so put plaster on and the relief..

I had two fairly big blisters from my timbs and was causing lots of pain but these have made all pain go and stop swelling. Very easy to stick, can easily last for a couple days and easy to peel off. Bought these after a long old walk in some boots that were a bit too tight for me. I needed something to cover the blisters on the back of my heel as the boots ruined my feet and I couldn't walk in normal shoes as it was too painful. They worked really well, they stopped the pain. The only downfall to these is when you take them off, they rip off your blister with it!
