Replacement sent quickly/product generally seems sturdy

I had to order a replacement as for some reason there were bits of the plastic from the container inside the box. Oh he box it was shipped in itself didn’t seem to have any damage.
I am very impressed with how quickly the replacement was received and the items inside are in good condition. The pieces were from the edge of the container (the lip). The rest was in tact. Having felt the plastics I know it is sturdy. However the broken part is the only brittle part of the container so I don’t know if they can make that any better. Very impressed with the product. Glad I’ve made the purchase.

Only one box arrived, not two as in the photo. This is an Amazon product, yet there is no way to “contact seller”. There is no way to get Amazon to ‘make it right’. Only option is return at my time money and trouble, because Amazon use “MyHermes” who expect me to drive at least 12 miles at my EXPENSE to THEIR drop off while half the Country is still Locked-Down. This is a TOTAL disgrace. I require direct contact from Amazon to resolve this or I will cancel my Prime membership, and make my views on Amazon’s service more widely known.

- 1 top is missing, the other one is broken (ie picture).
- regarding the boxes, 1 is ok and one the other one, 2 parts are missing so we can’t close the boxe properly

I got these to store 3d printing filament, which is notoriously water absorbent, especially living by the sea.
They have a good thick silicone bead gasket on the lid, I think they are definitely air tight, unfortunately the plastic used is rather thin and brittle, on one of the boxes the plastic has snapped where two of the lid clips are retained in the main box part, the plastic is really thin here. rather disappointing.

Seems to be a re-occuring problem with this product coming with shattered edges of the lid. If you are buying these for air-tight quality you should consider something else. I bought 4 and 2 of the lids were shattered. Considering I'm using them to store 3D printing material that needs to be kept away from moisture, two of my boxes are unusuable for this reason so I pretty much paid the price for 4 of these and only got 2.

This is really the only box I could find that states it is airtight and waterproof. I'll update in a month to find out how true these things appear. They seem like they are fairly good but may have some slight leakage if submersed.

For now - I bought 7 two-packs of these and in them every single one had one that was broken - essentially there are two lids on top of each other and nothing to protect the top lid from hitting against the lower lid. This means in transit the top lid hits and the inside seams snap. In a few of them the corners of the upper or lower were also broken. I also bought a similar product from the same brand from another suppplier. and encountered the same problem.

All in all out of the 14, 12 were usable but with a broken seam on the inside and 2 I sent back. It's really annoying to have spent £100 on a broken product but it would take too many goes to get all none broken ones and they are really big to take to the post office and send back.

They aren't the sturdiest. with things in I have to be very careful and they essentially just live in the celler full of things that don't come upstairs (and with de-humidifers in).

In two minds if I would buy it again as there really aren't any others on the market that would be more waterproof but they are really rubbish quality for what you get.

Broken lids, for 2nd time. Don’t buy.

Both lids of the boxes are damaged, again. This is the second time I buy these boxes as it’s so hard to find waterproof and sealed boxes. Very disappointed, will not buy again and would not anybody to buy these as they are very expensive and the broken lids defeats the purpose of having them weather proof.

Receiving an intact set is a bit of a lottery, given the reviews. We got lucky and received two perfectly undamaged boxes. They're fine, and seem fairly airtight given the rubber seal and pressure needed to clip the lids on. I doubt they're hermetically sealed though.

They're definitely not the most robust boxes, so you'll need to treat them carefully and don't chuck them around.

There are almost no airtight boxes on sale, so this is likely your only choice if you need that function. Pricey too, but then the airtightness is unique.

Item arrived with one damaged lid, the other in tact. It's not possible to arrange for a replacement lid so I have to return both boxes. A total waste of time.

This product arrived damaged.
The box holding it did not suffer any obvious damage, andf some bubble wrap was used.
The boxes inside were not really that heavy: 4 were packed in one box (I ordered 16 boxes in total).
And for an 80 liter box, it needs to be able to take some weight, and a little movement and not break.
These did not.
In my opinion, as a Materials Engineer, I would say that the plastic used was not tough enough for the intended purpose.
I don't see it as a Quality Control issue during manufacture, but rather that of poor Materials Selection.
I don't know current plastics prices, but I'd venture that tougher plastic is more expensive.

I need to use these in a few days to pack things.
I would not have ordered them if I knew they were of such low toughness.
