Must be very effective

I live in Leeds and have not been bitten by any insects since I've had this product. On this basis I would recommend this for any tropical exploring. Word of warning - external use only, don't make my mistake and spray in your mouth or eyes

Not to be used with sun cream!

This spray doesn't work at all if you have any kind of sun cream on, I recently travelled to Mexico and used this product daily on top of sun cream, I was repeatedly bitten and the scent is choking! It does however confirm that you can't use it with sun cream on the back. Just be warned, i didnt notice this when i purchased it. I swapped it out for a bug repellent bracelet worn on my ankle which cost me £1.50 which worked brilliantly. Save your money and buy one of those instead!

Review - Strong smell and does help but plug in way better

We bought this when we went to Crete as my daughter always gets bitten by the mosquitoes. This did help but its not the one solution. We found that room spray and the plug in mosquito repellent to work better for getting a good night sleep.

Best result,
- Use plug in 30 min before bed time
- Use room spray to clear the room
- Close the door and close the windows
- AC on if the room has

Then when it comes to bed time the room is clear and most of the smell is gone. Add a spray around the ankles and shoulders for extra comfort at night.

Hope this helps someone just wanting to rely on this spray.

This is not a nice spray to apply, in that the scent of it is very astringent, irritating nasal passages, and causing my lungs to react (I am asthmatic). I have to gear myself up to use it, and require a well-aired room.

However, given that it appears to have a very similar effect on mosquitoes, I can hardly complain. It certainly does the job, and I had no serious bites for my entire 2.5 week stay in Central Africa.

Recommendation: if you are at all sensitive, wear your COVID mask whilst applying. And spray it on outdoors.

When you apply this stuff you don't get bitten. I am a magnet to any and all stinging and biting insects, but when I apply this stuff I don't even get insects near me. It doesn't stain clothing and as far as I am aware a few moments after application there is no odour or one that is a problem. The downsides are that it contains Deet and there are some mixed opinions about that chemical and its effects on the wearer. It also does tend to dry the skin so use a moisturiser. This stuff is the best I have used.

I am allergic to any sort of outside mite including mosquitos and this product seems to work pretty well. Just watch out how you put it on your face and using sparingly around eyes as it did irritate (when it was a hot day) so used plenty of water to irrigate them which worked well. I think the lotion is better ( which I have used with no problems) asnd this is a liquid but i had limited choice at the time. Its a good price but use sparingly on face.

You cna't beat Jungle Formula. Well maybe you can but why would yous earch for anything else? I live with midges, and midges can't live with this. Don't spray it in your eyes. Or up your nose. Or in your mouth. That would be silly. I'd NEVER do that... Don't go without it. Unless you're off to somewhere with no insects. There you can just stroll about like you don't care.

I got through a lot of it (1.5 cans in 2 weeks) and generally it worked very well, in most locations. There was 1 location it didn't do the job sadly, an island in Cambodia where I got around 10 bites in 1 day . These could have been sandflies rather than mosquitoes...
