Must be very effective

I live in Leeds and have not been bitten by any insects since I've had this product. On this basis I would recommend this for any tropical exploring. Word of warning - external use only, don't make my mistake and spray in your mouth or eyes

Not to be used with sun cream!

This spray doesn't work at all if you have any kind of sun cream on, I recently travelled to Mexico and used this product daily on top of sun cream, I was repeatedly bitten and the scent is choking! It does however confirm that you can't use it with sun cream on the back. Just be warned, i didnt notice this when i purchased it. I swapped it out for a bug repellent bracelet worn on my ankle which cost me £1.50 which worked brilliantly. Save your money and buy one of those instead!

Use with caution!

I bought this for a trip to Brazil and I used it only once due to severe burning sensation I experienced. My skin also went bright red, it was akin to being sunburnt. I understand that DEET isn't particularly good for you but I wouldn't say I have sensitive skin but for me it was very painful to use. I did not use again but I appreciate that not everyone will get this reaction. Maybe opt for the next strength down.

Smell, shockingly strong. I used it in the corner of a room/hallway, sprayed then ran away from the aerosol smell.

DO NOT USE WITH SUNSCREEN. I stopped using sun screen as soon as I noticed, however can't say I noticed a huge difference. I didn't get anywhere near as many bites as I would have without any protection. However my whole family used this brand, not to much avail. The most we could do is use ointments to drop the bites getting infected. Sigh

It does not have a wide-spread spray range at all, if you spray up, it will straight away come into your eyes so be careful I did not expect for the spray drops to fall this fast and expected light drops. It smells bad for hours, it stains everywhere, say you have a glass surface it will mark over it like oil has been dropped on it.
It is definitely not good quality for the price and if you were thinking to buy something like Raid or Pif Paf then buy that!!! Do not buy this product and expect the same results.
