How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 starsFull comparison of 231 and 332 (both are great)
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 June 2019
I run two xboxes and i already own the G231 which are great bug i needed to replace my set of original xbox cans (which only last a year) so i went for the 332. Now there is only a few quid in it so you are probably wondering which to go for, so here is an honest comparison. First the build quality. In general the G332 is slightly better though i think it is a shame the newer model did away with tge braided cord. The 332s have moved the volume control to the headset and mic muting is done when you raise and lower the mic boom whereas the older 231 had an in line control. Personally it makes no odds to me as i like to use the microsoft headet controller so the headset controls are not used. The big difference is comfort, the 231 hurt your head after a while but the 332s are much more comfortable. On paper the frequency response is identical but the increased sensitivity and 10mm bigger drivers of the 332s mean the sound is richer. Most notably, the middle frequencies are superb. As for the mic, technically the low end response is worse on the 332 but there is only 500hz in it so i doubt it will be noticably different. So, in summary, the 332s have slightly better sound and are more comfortable. I wouldnt upgrade from one to tge other but if you need a new gaming headset look no further. The 231s are suoerb, the 332s are slightly more suoerb!

3.0 out of 5 starsNot worth more than £50
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 March 2019
Pros & Cons

Pros:
2m long cable, long enough for most setups from the TV/Monitor to the Sofa/Chair.
Good amount of red accents.
Really comfortable for a few hours of gaming or for other uses.

Cons:
Mic is way TOO SENSITIVE, you barely have to either breathe in or breathe out and the mic will pick it up.
The rest of the mic felt really cheap.
Noise cancelling is alright, but could have been much better considering its from Logitech.

Sorry for no photos.

So i don't review products often but i need to speak out about the utter crap quality these headphones are considering there from such a big brand. Ive had them over 6 months now and in the time of having them the following has happend. 1. After about 3 months with them when it comes to speaking to people on skype for example there is a constant static sound while talking to them. 2. The black cable covering on the outsidr began to fray and expose the inner wires. 3. I noticed a small crack on one of the headphones today and went to put them on and its just plain snapped off. Ive always been a believer of logitech being a superior brand comapared to othet but after seeing this is would rather use a razer product

5.0 out of 5 stars What a great headset!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 November 2019

I had used the previous generation and this headset is definitely an improvement. Logitech has used high-quality plastic and comfortable cushions. The rubberized cable is a little shorter than previous-gen, so it doesn't dangle under the desk. It is thick enough and shouldn't break.

The headset can be used with phone and PC via included audio jack mic+audio splitter to separate mic and audio, so you save few bucks on the splitter. The microphone produces good quality sound and doesn't pick too much background noise. It is switched off when in the upright position.

Headphones are quite tight and worm, but on the other hand they are very quiet and produce decent sound. I am using an equalizer to bump bass and treble a little bit and cut mid-tones to soften sound.

I would definitely recommend this headset unless you are into wireless headphones.

4.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely fine

Was using an Amazon Basics gaming headset and decided to upgrade. Bought this headset and the sound quality was appalling.
It turned out that the sound chipset on my mobo had gone 'Pete Tong'.
I bought a Xonar sound card, installed the drivers and this headset works fine now.
Was going to return it. Now I will keep it.
The sound quality is fine. Not as good as the Corsair headset I bought (which was a bit more expensive) but fine for everyday use: gaming, Skype, Zoom... etc.

4.0 out of 5 stars Needs tweaking for best performance
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 July 2022

Initial out of the box experience was very poor, tinny sounding and low volume, but then adjusting my settings realised audio driver and audio controller were not properly set up on my PC (all my other headphones have been pretty much great plug and play with the standard Microsoft drivers). Once I installed the appropriate Realtek driver and controllers, sound was very good.

Mic was good, picks up my voice quite clearly, is out of the way, and the flip up to mute works perfectly fine.

In terms of comfort, for my head at least, it's snug and secure, not too tight very comfortable so far.

I have tried this on my Switch and my phone: for the Switch, it's decent enough, not as good as on the PC, whereas on my phone it was closer to sound quality I got on my PC (can probably be better once I mess with the EQ)

So this is overall a very good headset, just make sure your PC settings are correct

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a gaming headset
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 June 2021

Bought this headset as a replacement for a very comfortable Corsair headset that I had for years. It arrived today, plugged it in with the headset/mic splitter and it doesn't work. Tried reconfiguring my entire PC setup to try and get it to work and the microphone just doesn't work at all. My sockets work because my previous headset was a dual splitter. Tried that splitter and still doesn't work. The headphones were also clearly not designed or tested for the gentleman (or lady) with a larger head. I feel like the muffs of the headphones are literally squeezing my head and they feel uncomfortable to wear. For the price, they'd probably be acceptable for light use, however I would NOT recommend these at all if you're looking for something to wear for long periods. Truly awful.

4.0 out of 5 stars it works and its comfy

Bought this to replace a previous headset that broke. It arrived the day after I fixed the other one. D'Oh.
The headset itself is comfy and works well for gaming, and other associated headphone functions. Just gotta remember to be careful putting it on. I absent mindedly tried to put it on single handed, and snap, crackle pop, the plastic holder at the end of the RH slider disintegrated, leaving the earpiece flapping around like a drunk seagull. I managed to fashion a repair that's holding, so now at least I have a spare. Overall happy with the headset, just loses a star for durability.

3.0 out of 5 stars Anaemic sound compared to 10 year old Fatality Pro headset
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 August 2021

I bought these to replace my 10 year old Creative Fatal1ty Pro headset, and I kinda wish I hadn't.

The bass in these headphones is nigh-on non-existent. Anaemic, tinny sounds instead of a rich full range sound experience I'd expect.

Not great.

Except at noise cancellation, because they clamp to the side of your head like no-one's business...

Update: Ended up returning them because of the poor sound quality, but mainly because they were so tight they were inducing headaches. Since bought the updated Creative headphones (Creative HS-810 SB Blaze Gaming Headset) and they've been flawless and comfortable since.

4.0 out of 5 stars Low price, basic but very good
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 August 2022

The price swings around so time your purchase carefully. No bells and whistles but seems to be solidly built & works very well. Not going to get top of range features at this price but for a basic set of headphones with a mike, especially from this brand, they make sense. No USB connection, so uses a 3.5mm combined jack, plus an adapter to combine separate mike/headphone sockets is included. Sound is perfectly fine & it picks up voice well.
