I was happy when discovered this deal: just over 11 quid for 85 tabs with subscription service! Seemed brilliant to me. I've been a loyal Finish dishwasher tablets user for over 3 years. Tried different brands loooking for something cheaper, however, have always been back to Finish. I also use the same brand salt and rinse aid. Never complained about the quality of cleaning: shiny dishes, lovely smell, all as advertised. Our usual buy is a pack of 72 lemon scented quantum powerball tabs (I prefer this smell) for 9.99 in one discount store. Taking into account our usual travel cost, this amz offer worked out cheaper, so I fell for it initially.
Well... First thing I have to mention explaining why I gave it 1 star is the tablets shape. Sorry, it's just awful. It's bigger than needed plus has "edges" all over the perimeter like 5 mm wide! Why? Why???? It doesn't fit the normal dishwasher tabs dispenser! Well, if you "bend it" it will, however, as the result of this bending, the tabs get stuck very easily! So when the cycle is finished, you can see the melting dishwasher tablet in an open dispenser!
I'm not a new user and know that sometimes it might happen if you don't wipe water leftovers from that dispenser, and the tab starts melting before it jumps out of it during the cycle (it doesn't happen right away). But.. I wipe it dry all the time. Something tells me, that the problem is is this tablets' "upgraded" shape, which prevents it fitting into dispenser properly. Actually, its "flexibility" makes it worse. As well as the size and mentioned "edges". I was back to my old tablets and hasn't had a stuck and melting tab problem any more.
Second reason for not liking this tablets is that they just not as good at cleaning! I noticed that sometimes I need to leave stuff in a dishwasher for one more cycle as it feels greasy when you touch. It doesn't help to save money and water.
I'll add some photo later to support my arguments and will be cancelling my subscription service.
