If you don't have a baby bath support - buy this one

Baby bath supports are the sort of thing you can easily dismiss, like specialist feeding pillows. 'Nah, don't need one of them, just lay them in a baby bath, support them with your arm' - oh no my friend. Oh no. Firstly, babies cannot do anything unsupported so they just flop in a baby bath and you have to hold them up with one arm the entire time - which is a) tiring as heck and they be slippy, and b) really hard to bathe them with one hand. You can use this in the baby bath and then in the bigger bath as they get a little larger. Gives you both hands free to bathe them properly and allow them to really kick those squidgy legs in the water as they get bigger. No dead arm, no one-handed hair wash, just lovely baby fun.

Really not happy with this seat, I paid £27.99 and the cut out sides of the seat cut me in the same place on my hand every time I use it. Very sharp edges and not safe for children.

I used this for the first time today, so I’ll update when I’ve used it more if necessary. But so far it’s been a pretty groundbreaking product for us.

I suffer from several chronic illnesses that mean hypermobile joints, aches, pains, general fatigue, weakness and low stamina are all part of the daily struggle for me as a new mother. Until today, bathing my son (now two months old) had been just barely manageable even with help from his daddy or grandma, and always resulted in a significant amount of pain and stress for me. We’d been bathing little one in a baby bathtub with a support cushion but that is a bit difficult to manage as you have to support their necks the entire time whilst trying to do everything else a bath entails. Bathing him with me in the normal bathtub was a little better but still a bit scary now that his kicking reflex is strong enough to cause a potential issue and it still left me exhausted from trying to juggle everything, and wash the baby whilst making sure to keep him secure.

I finally got fed up and ordered this bath seat. Thank GOODNESS I did. Today at bathtime I could actually wash my baby with almost no trouble. I sat in the bath with him and revelled that I didn’t have to wash him whilst struggling to support him one handed, and I didn’t have to stress about him slipping as much, which allowed us much more bonding time with plenty of eye contact and giggles, not to mention being much much safer. Less struggling and holding meant less stress and pain for me too. My shoulders are very thankful. Thanks to this seat I’m suddenly so much more confident with the thought of having to bathe my son by myself in future.

My only issue with this so far is that it’s a bit hard to get into the underarms and neck crevices with a flannel whilst baby is in the seat but I’m sure it will get easier with practice.

I would gladly marry the creator of this product for the help it’s going to bring my baby and I for the next couple of months. My only regret is that I didn’t discover this seat sooner! Every new mother should have one in their arsenal, in my opinion.

Absolute must have for any new parent! My now 4 month old has used this pretty much every night since her umbilical cord dropped off (about a week after birth) and it's perfect. It moulds well to her shape and has a small line so you know how much water you need in the bath. It's not big either, my daughter can sit in this while my 6yr old daughter sits with her. Being a large baby I don't see her being in this at 6 months old but only time will tell...

Edit: now nearly 7 months old and is still in this as she is still a bit wobbly to sit unaided in another bath support. Still plenty of room, she still seems comfortable, very durable seeing as it's been used almost every night, shes a large baby as well so for an average sized child or smaller you could get plenty of use from this

Best bath product for newborn. Full head/body support

Got this for my 7 week old baby. He's quite tall. It fits ok. Its very good in that you dont need to support the head or body whilst bathing. Its very soft for baby's body and head as well. I think this is the best available option for 0 to 6 months after researching online. Once the baby is able to sit unaided you can replace it with a regular tub. Im very happy with my purchase and recommend this product. I wish I got it from day 1.

My baby boy loves this (aged 3 months), I think he prefers this to his bouncer seat! - also makes for a handy seat for him when I need the toilet!! Only downside is there is no suction on the bottom so may move when in the bath when trying to put baby in. I wasn’t sure on the price but now he’s happy to sit in it I’m happy with it.

Suitable for babies who can't yet sit up for themselves. If you fill the bath up to the line on the seat then only the very bottom of your baby's bum will be actually in the water. Pretty much like sitting in a puddle. If your baby likes to splash in the bath then this may not be the product for you, but if you struggle to support your baby in the bath then this works as a helping hand to keep babies head out of the water.

Bought this for our nearly 4 month old as our backs were killing and can sometimes be a struggle to hold and wash him one handed. As he can’t sit up unaided this is great for next few months and even though he is a chunky baby and long he fits it nicely and will do us until he needs the bath seat. Very glad I bought this. Wish I bought it sooner.

Bought this for use with my 2 month old, been using for about 4 months so far and has been amazing. Saves lots of back pain from leaning over and holding for the entire bath and means we can relax and enjoy bath time. Quick tip we use is to put a wet face cloth over the back part, helps keep baby warm and means there aren't any circular marks on the back when baby comes out.
