Best value batteries on the market in my opinion.

Not all batteries are created equal and with so many choices out there its difficult to choose the best option. I've been using these for a couple of years now and have been perfectly happy with their performance. They are alkaline based batteries which make them a pretty good, standard battery and suitable for 90% of applications. Remote controls, clocks, cameras, radios will all run fine on these and will last fine.

It's great to have a bulk store of batteries at such an affordable price. I now have a drawer stocked with batteries and not a jumbled up collection, of different brands missed with part-used batteries. I restock when I start to get low and I'm never caught short.

As I said, these will do for 90% of applications but if you do need more power for a particularly high drain device then look for lithium-based batteries, they will outperform these amazon basics but expect to pay a lot more. It would be nice to see Amazon basics add lithium batteries to there current offerings for such occasions.

Safe Leak-Free Design!?

Taken out of a device this morning 21/10/2020.
One of my childrens toys that is now not working due to the battery leak! Plus an upset child! One 'Crate Creature' now not operational! These are not cheap toys.

Taken from Amazons advert:

Ideal for everyday devices
10-year shelf life
Safe leak-free design
Short-circuit prevention
NOT rechargeable

This may be an isolated incident......
However I would suggest they do not have a Safe Leak-Free Design!

I bought these after reading some other reviews about how decent they were. I understand that they’re not as long lasting as the big brands but, to be honest, I’m not bothered about that.

I normally buy a box of 100 AA and 100 AAA own brand batteries every year from my local Maplin store and these last me 12 months. Now that the Maplin store has gone I’ve just been dealing with cheapo batteries from the pound stores. After seeing reviews on these I decided to take a punt.

So far, I’m not disappointed. They’re a good price, come in simple packaging which is environmentally friendly and they’re working great. I’ve already got a brighter torch, a bedside alarm keeping time again, a digital camera taking more than 3 pictures before dying and a remote control car that is remote controllable again!

Really happy with these so far and will definitely be buying them again. Next time in the 100 pack.

These are, as the name implies, a very basic product. If you are going to stick them into toy busses and cars and trains and all that other crap then these are fine. If you have more refined purposes in mind, I would recommended going for a more high quality product. You don't want the power dropping out at a crucial moment do you, at least that is what the wife was yelling as she clouted me repeatedly yesterday.

Seen like good value but don't last very long

The price is the most likeable feature of these batteries but they have a very short life compared to similar brand name products the old adage "Buy cheap buy twice" perfectly illustrates the situation. If you want batteries that are going to last a reasonable time powering, in my case, LED remote control lights with very low usage then these failed! The lights started to fade in about week 2 and started to fail completely in week 4. I bought Duracell to replace them and the results are so much better, the lights are still bright after about three weeks and as we are now well into winter have been used much more

What can you say about a box of 100 identical items? I mean, what do expect?
The batteries were like peas in a pod and to pick any one out for comment would be unfair on the others. Not only that, but they were exactly what I was expecting and they fully met the internationally agreed specification for AA batteries.

Wtf these didn't even last a month!

These were terrible. I was after some decent batteries after being completely scewed by the massive issue of fake batteries on amazon. After multiple batteries exploded in my home I decided to try some amazon basics as they're highly rated, and it's less likely that there'd be fakes.

Turns out these batteries are useless.
I put some in some motion lights which normally last about 6 months with Duracell's. These didn't even last a month (about 3 weeks).

Even the batteries I used to buy from poundland were better than these.

Avoid.

Quite a lot of Amazon branded items are beating the competition. At least I've found that anyway. The batteries in particular seem to last quite a while and I've used them in remotes and kids toys. Maybe it's just because I get most stuff from Amazon that I think they're better but they seem to last longer than any Kodak batteries from the £ shop! Poor ol' Kodak.

Saying that, recently I've noticed that the latest box of batteries I bought don't seem to last as long. Either the battery life has decreased...or the bambino has been playing with the remote. And by playing I mean throwing and dismantling and this has affected it. But of course, I can't blame my own flesh and blood. So I'll blame Amazon instead.
