How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 starsA fun little card game
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 November 2019
I played this game with my boyfriend (2 people) and during a board game night (4 people); every time the suspense was high and everyone stressed over the cards, but whenever we made a mistake it ended up in a lot of laughter. The game itself is simple to understand - each player gets the amount of cards that corresponds with the round number. So, round 1, everyone gets 1 card; round 2, everyone gets 2; and so on. Then, everyone has to put their cards down in an order from lowest to highest number - but they can't communicate in any way!
We had a lot of fun, though, and staring contests between the players are simply hilarious, especially if everyone was dealt cards with fairly high numbers and nobody wants to go first. The game can accommodate up to 6 players comfortably, but nothing is in the way if you want to play with even more people - it only requires changing some of the rules.
Overall, if you're looking for a game that is very easy to learn and quick to play, The Mind can easily be that game, if you're willing to sacrifice some of the interaction between the players; it's a great game to close the evening with, and simple enough to understand if you want to play with younger children. Recommended!

3.0 out of 5 starsPure chance, really.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 October 2019
Best word to describe this is "meh". It's fine, a somewhat enjoyable pastime in-between frankly better, more vibrant and exciting games. My issue is this notion of 'how well you know your friends' and 'mind reading'.

It's mostly chance and hesitation as opposed to tracking and remembering your associates' behavioural patterns. You play a number card, then wait two minutes until someone musters the courage to play hopefully a close card next. Success or fail, it's basically a gamble with some laughs.

The lid of the box is also pretty loose, meaning the cards inside become dislodged too easily and often fall out. Poor manufacturing.

Would pass on this, it's nothing amazing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to learn, fun to play

So simple but kept us going for a big chunk of our gaming night. Super easy to learn and you don't need to be a hardcore tabletop gamer to pick up the rules.

You could probably play this with a standard deck of cards but it looks great - I love the style & artwork.

Have been playing with my family and Gamer buddies and we've enjoyed it. Perfect small box to drop in the luggage to take on holiday & play after the ids have gone to bed.

5.0 out of 5 stars So simple yet so addictive

Heard about this game from a friend and when they described the premise I thought it would be fun for all of 20 minutes. How wrong I was...

You each get dealt a few cards and then work together to put them down in ascending order using nothing but intuition and trying to ‘read’ your friends expressions. Higher rounds mean more and more cards - and then it becomes a mad dash to slap down your cards with smaller and smaller gaps between them. Use up all your lives and it’s time to start again!

The product itself is well presented and the cards are robust with attractive graphics. I would highly recommend this game and it’s small size means it is great for travelling.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clever idea for a game, different to every other game we have

The whole family, including our 10 and 13 yr old kids, love this game. First, it’s a cooperative so you’re all on the same team. Second, it’s unlike any other family game we have - the skill is to try to read each other well. A bit like poker but you’re all on the same side. You all feel great when you get it right, must be what it’s like to be Derren Brown!

I can see this becoming one of our favourites, and the kids will enjoy playing it with their friends.

As simple it sounds it is just as good. I love games where you don't play for your own win, but you need to work as a team, so everyone is happy when you win. It's just a great little game, quick one as well and it will bring lot of laughs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazingly simple and surpisingly fun and rewarding

Probably some of the simplest rules in the history of games. You must play in order - but you cannot see your partners cards. The bonuses at certain levels add to the game and the increasing number of cards each round also adds to the challenge and the desire to try and progress further. The cards were very good quality and you get twice as many as in a deck of cards.

We are seasoned gamers and I'd seen this recommended a few times and always dismissed it as being too simple for us, as we generally like v.complex games. I was wrong, this is simple but super. We all really enjoyed it. Suitable for all ages and gaming abilities. This is worth a tenner of anyone's money!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Game That Never Gets Old
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 September 2019

This is a brilliant game for up to four players. Anybody who can count to 100 can play. I have read online that some have played with 5 but we have not tried that. When we have had five we made one person the dealer. We also bought a battery operated card shuffler because we are rubbish at shuffling. Great fun. You can play the whole evening and not get tired of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Win as a team

No more complicated than Uno but the aim is to win as a team. Loved it on holiday with our 8 year old boy. Completing a level was met with fist bumps and cheers. Simple concept but great to play as a family or group.

Fantastic family fun. This is a simple game that gets very intense. Played with my 9 year old an had great fun. Works great as a cooperative game that will have you developing a form of telepathy with your friends and family. Be bold, but not too bold!
