How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 starsExtreme pro?
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 December 2018
The card comes with the label of extreme pro with 170mb read and 90 write. I know it has astrix at the end of the speed level.

But this card is far from perfect, upon testing on different phones, it seems the card can't write above 30MB and for read its 80MB.

The devices I tested this memory card with are, galaxy note 8, galaxy s7 and i7 hp laptop with adapter and it seems the card is not as great as it is advertised.

Compare to this extreme pro, my other extreme memory card is much faster, that can achieve 90MB read and 85MB write which is much better than what this card can achieved.

For anyone interested in this memory card, avoid this and get the extreme memory card instead.

1.0 out of 5 starsErratic write speed
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 March 2019
Bought for Parrot Anafi drone. Replacing the original 16GB card with a 32GB Toshiba U3 card, the drone was reporting errors that it was too slow. Installed the Sandisk pro as this supposedly had high write speeds. Initially no problems then the Anafi again reported problems that is was too slow, what to do, this is supposedly one of the fastest chips. Looked on Parrot site for approved cards and the sandisk pro was not on it. Decided to perform some tests of speed using a number of chips with a USB 3.1 adapter, surprisingly, this chip came out last, write speeds were erratic ranging from 70 Mb/s at best dropping to 20 Mb/s most of the time whereas all others tested were stable at their write speeds. Then ran through CrystalMark and this card came second last to the Toshiba. The standard Sandisk Extreme put in a write speed of 61Mb/s and is significantly cheaper. Relegated the pro to a cycle head cam at 720P, it may cope with that.

1.0 out of 5 stars Appears to be a Fake

Ordered for use in a drone that requires fast read write speeds. After looking online for a solution to an issue I had using this card I decided to check the cards speeds using a dedicated memory card speed check tool. The tool reported correct speeds for other cards but for this one both read and write speeds came back at less than 25mbs, the read should be 170mbs and write 90mbs? Needless to say I have returned this card for a refund.

Hello I will try to write as objective and sincere as possible, The card arrived in its well packaged wrapper etc , everything makes it indicate that it is genuine, I was checking the package the watermarks etc and everything seems to be correct(looks) good after this review open the package take out the card and put it on my camera , it would have to work automatically , but to my surprise it didn't work, I thought I would have to format it, so that I did then first the formatie on the camera, it didn't work, then on my computer, I didn't work either, I asked for help looking for tutorials ,nothing at all worked, the card comes with a RAW format and 30 mb is a card with faults, I think it is not authentic or if it is a scam , the only thing I can say in favor is that when sending it back they automatically accepted the sending back and the return of my money, I do not know if it will be this card in my particular case the problem or if this company sells fake cards as authentic, I hope it will help you, thank you friends.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't think it's genuine

I have a genuine Sandisk Extreme 128Gb card and my Insta360 One R can record on it flawlessly but needed one more card so got the Extreme Pro and my camera stops recording after a few seconds saying the card is not fast enough. Returning and not buying Sandisk ever again, too many fakes out there and the fact that this one was coming from the Sandisk Shop on Amazon... makes you wonder.

2.0 out of 5 stars "Disk error fix drive?" each time I remove from drone and read on my PC
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 August 2020

says "disk error fix drive?" every time I take it out of my drone and put in my PC card reader.
Not just me either. I have asked other friends who have bought these micro sd cards and they are having same issues.
Might be a faulty batch?
In case you were wondering I did format the card before using. I had purchased 2 of these and they are both having the same issues. It also isn't my PC. It reads all other cards without any issues at all.
The Sandisk extreme pro SDXC 32Gb that I bought for my DSLR over 5 years ago still work. So I'm guessing the quality has really dropped since then! I have unfortunately missed my return window. I am also thinking of not purchasing SD cards on Amazon in the future because this might not be a original product even though the packaging looks authentic and sealed. Maybe sandisk should have a verification code to scratch off like a lot of other products do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Probably one of the best micro SDXC cards you can buy.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 March 2019
Size Name: 64 GBStyle Name: Extreme Pro microSDVerified Purchase
I needed a fast and reliable micro SDXC card, and the decision fell on this model.
Up to 170 MB / s in reading and 90MB / s in writing and in addition a convenient adapter, very useful to insert "on the fly" the micro SD card inside the PC, included in the price.
Adapter that has a read / write protection lock on the side.
It is not one of the most economical cards (even if the price at which it is offered, considering the quality / price ratio, is excellent), but if you have the need to record 4K videos at high bitrate you don't have much choice.
Clearly this card will be too much, if you record videos in HD (720) or Full HD (1080), in fact in this case head for the "Extreme" versions of the same manufacturer, other performances and with much lower costs.
In my specific case I will use it inside an INSTA360 ONE X, which records 360-degree video with resolutions up to 5.7K at 30fps, 4K at 50 and 30fps and 3K at 100fps for the more 'slow-motion' slow motion.
The bitrate reaches up to 120Mbps so it takes a card with out-of-the-ordinary performance.
The same manufacturer recommends cards with UHS-I V30 speed class.
When you buy a micro SD card for your video devices, carefully read these specifications for an optimal choice, without spending too much for a card with high performance but you won't use it fully or, on the contrary, buy a card on offer but that will not allow you a speed of adequate acquisition and with consequent loss of frames and videos that are jerky.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect

Bought for use with a Pi3B+ to run RetroPie. Works perfectly and is fast. Incase anyone want's to try this the Raspberry Pi will default to only see 32GB. To gain the full capacity, then install Rapbian (full or lite) and then Google how to increase the size of an Ext4 partition. The alternative is to use a none standard Fat32 format which I wouldn't recommend unless you need to read the card under Windows.

Anyway, back to the card.. an absolute bargain for the price. Not seeing anywhere near the speeds stated, but that was expected when using a Raspberry Pi. It is still signifacantly faster than an Ultra card and currently around the same price.

Turns out that this did show up as 128gbs, after using 25gbs on my S20 Ultra, it turns out that it was fake, after a format attempt, the storage capacity changed to 24/25gbs and it's unbelievable!

Not to mention that the read/write speeds are awfully slow

DON'T BUY THIS, SAVE YOUR SELF THE TROUBLE

1.0 out of 5 stars Warning - Hot Card!!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 August 2021

I had unknowingly bought a fake Samsung card which actual stated capacity did not match what was printed on the card and switched to Sandisk. Amazon were prompt in the return process, I cannot fault them.

I have had this card for around 10 months and it has let me down in a big way.

The data transfer speed and storage were absolutely fine so I dont think this was fake however the card is completely unreadable now and what is worse, whether I use an OTG or SD card adapter, the card heats up to a temperature where you cannot hold it. This is quite a concern if it is installed into a device such as a phone.

I cannot return it as it is out of the return window.
Incidently I had bought a Sandisk Extreme 128GB micro sd (Gold and Red coloured) at the same time and it has been fine.
