Great Product.

Bloody tremendous. I recently provided a home for two Great Dane x Mastiff puppies. These two animals produce more piss than an incontinent rhinoceros. When I went to the pet store they wanted over £12 for a pack of 10 for the brand name alternative which almost had me test these pads in the store when I thought I’d be spending £60 a week on giant sanitary towels so that my house didn’t turn into a urine slip and slide.

I checked amazon and bought these instead. I can confirm they can soak up the biggest of dog pees.

Great product. And dogs almost toilet trained before the box was emptied.

Dangerous...BEWARE

We’re just back from the vet, our puppy is 9 weeks old and chewed one of these puppy pads and almost died. The plastic caused a gut blockage and our puppy needed surgery. I know puppies chew, so not necessarily the manufacturers fault. However, I wouldn’t leave my puppy alone with a plastic bag, so why leave her with these?

When I was growing up we used newspaper to train puppies. A friend suggested puppy pads, so I bought them as they sounded great and less messy. This product wasn’t particularly absorbent either but that’s a side note.

In future we’ll stick with newspaper, as it’s much safer for the puppy, plus more environmentally friendly.

We’ve had a really terrible scare. If you buy pads for your puppy be sure to have pet insurance! The bill was £3k. FYI Make sure your insurance covers the day you take your puppy home.

This is the first review I’ve written but I had to share.

I have an elderly gentleman with dementia, who has come to live with me from a care home. He is good during the day, but during the night his old bladder isn't as strong as it used to be, and I have found puddles of urine on my carpet in the morning. So I thought I would get some of these puppy pads, so that if he feels the need to go during the night he can pee on these. They have worked a treat, no more wet carpet, just a few wet pads to pick up. And no embarrassing looks from him. And luckily he doesn't pee in his bed. They absorb a lot too.
You may be wondering why I don't get him a commode or help him to the toilet, the thing is his paws don't reach the toilet bowl and he won't entertain any steps to stand on so he could reach. So we have to use the pads. So a great product for anyone elderly ;)

The liquid simply sits atop of these & gets all over pups paws. Extremely poor absorbency. No scent & smaller than alternative better quality versions. Given a 25% refund. Significantly disappointed with Amazon on this item. Buy another brand.

We tried these to see if they were better than ones we have for our small pup (french bulldog)

These are smaller, less absorbant (pee sat on top to some degree meaning it didn't go in just flooded an area of material then sat there, pup had pee-soaked paws.

About half of the bulk as a "normal" pad ..we have been paying £14.99 for 100,, dims 60x60cm compared to these which will be going back ...in esence the ones from a cheap shop kick the butt of these!

OMG I love these pads.
I got the extra large both for their size and the absorbency, my old dog is a border collie and now apparently has incontinence. She pees at least once during the night sometimes two and sleeps on the sofa at night.
I would also come home from work and find wet patches on the sofa and on the floor. Now luckily we are in lockdown 2.0 I can be at home more.
When the pads first came I tested the first one with a glass of water, as you do. I was amazed at how the pad turned to gel and soaked it all up. I have a two seater sofa and put two pads, one on each sofa cushion and they do overlap a bit. I then cover them in a think blanket/throw so as the dog doesn’t move them around to much. The first morning there were two wet patches, I got the pads just in time, and not one drop had gotten through to the sofa itself. It wasn’t even damp!
I would highly recommend these pads as they are saving me having to wash the sofa cushions every day. I’m so pleased I found them. Now just the smell of wee to get out of the house!

Works well when puppy's aim is good however at times in the early days, he preferred our rug (rug was removed) then he mostly used the pads and usually successfully, sometimes he only stood halfway on the pad and his stream missed all or part of the pad.
I am happy to report he is now 98% clean in the house and he is only 4 months. Have patience with your puppy, never make a big deal of any accidents and reward with praise (and food if you like) all succesful outings to a suitable toilet space.
Also if you have an easily cleanable floor, which we do, I found having a tub of old rags and a spray bottle with dilute biological laundry detergent nearby worked well for fuss free and speedy clean ups. Good luck!

Great mats for our pup!

We have a now 16 week golden retriever puppy and are going through the house training stage at the moment. We had to delay his vaccinations as he was a bit poorly at first so he wasn't allowed outside until recently. As you can imagine we then needed a lot of puppy pads whilst he was stuck indoors. We tried most brands on the market ranging from pets at home, home bargains, Wilko's and b&m but we decided to try these. We opted for the large size as with the energetic little fluff bundle we have we were using 4 standard size ones until he perfected his aim. These would always scatter the moment the zoomies hit or sometimes the moment he walked on them! The large ones are about the size of 2 standard size pads if you have had those before. The absorption rate was very quick and best of all we had no soggy mat leaking out underneath onto our laminate flooring! The mats are grey in colour which personally I prefer as I hate seeing the yellow pee spots on the mats! The mats also were wonderful for absorbing any scent from the pee. Can't say we noticed any at all. Overall we are thrilled with these and have to agree with the other reviews that they are the best we have tried so far. Love the fact they come compact in a box and Amazon have also gone to the effort of decorating the box with little bones etc which we thought was cute little touch.

This many reviews can’t be wrong can they? I’ve seen plenty of training pads for sale, including some in Costco that looked great value, but having used these I can’t imagine using any others. I used them for the first week of owning our Border Collie puppy, in which time we were ploughing through them before toilet training twigged in her head. I’m not sure what’s in them but our puppy went on it straight away without being prompted, although that wasn’t always the case subsequently.

They’re about the size of a door mat and they’re resilient to moisture. We didn’t experience any moisture getting through to the surface below, and they’re hard wearing. We’d take any soiled pads out into the yard to where we wanted our puppy going outside and they stood up to the British weather very well. If I have any criticism it’s that the edges do present an attractive item to chew for curious puppies, but that’s not the fault of the pad. Excellent pads that will help with toilet training your pup.

A carpet saviour in the cold weather!!

Bought these as my house trained dogs have been having a few accidents indoors now the back door is not often open and they don't make it clear that they want to go out and I'm getting fed up cleaning carpets :(

The pads don't seem to smell noticeably although both my dogs did have a good sniff once I laid one by the back door! Hopefully they will do the job, easily disposable (put them in my poo bags and then in the dog bin).

Soft tissue for the dogs to do their stuff and the waterproof backing will save my carpets!

Well, so far so good, pad by the back door was used - for both parts of the toileting and twice - sorry, I can't describe it, but you get my gist- and my carpets are dry underneath! Yayyy!
Clean one for tonight then :) happy, happy!

*edit* my dogs are toy breed and are often mistaken for puppies, so these mats are adequate for my use but you may need more than 1 or 2 for larger breeds so although good value for my needs they may not be so economical if using a few at a time and you may consider buying a larger size
