Eczema skin

Personally I think this product is amazing! I suffer with eczema around the eye area only which gets unbelievably sore inflamed and flacky so as you can imagine it’s not great for my confidence as it makes my eyes look really old which I’m not im only in my 30s. Have been using this product for only two weeks and right now all my symptoms from above are completely gone not even the feel of wanting to scratch, my skin right now is back to normal YAY! Anyone who suffers from eczema will know how important sharing about this is, so for me it’s my miracle cream as believe me over the years I’ve tried everything!!! This is working for me but may not work for everyone as everyone will react differently due to there skin. Thanku CeraVe!!!!

This item arrived with the seal broken. For all I know, the tub with the Cerave label has been filled with another cream and I have paid £12 for a cream that is not the dermatologically formulated Cerave brand. I am really uncomfortable about using this cream with the seal broken. I am going to buy the cream from the drugstore (Superdrug) and compare texture and colour to confirm whether it is the same product. If not, I will return to seller. I would advise AGAINST buying this product because I am not convinced you are getting what you buy. I have seen a number of reviewers complain about the open seal so this is not a one-off occurrence.

I should have looked at reviews properly. The container had no seal and the label connecting both container and lid had been neatly cut. There was also dirty smudges on the lid. The lid opened easily. The cream could really have been contaminated, removed etc. There's no way of knowing if the cream is safe to use or is even the real thing

I've decided to write a review to address some things other reviewers have said. I rely on reviews a lot so I'm hoping this would help someone who happens to be like me :)

Seal - It has a very light white seal on the cover to the body that you'd hardly see and once you turn tears so easily you won't notice. I've put picture up. It doesn't have a foil covering in the tub. I also presume the movement from shipping is what lives the cream around and gives that "used out of" look. It is however the real cerave (at least the two tibs I've bought are the real deal and have produced desired results despite this less than conventional packaging). I ordered in the UK. Not sure if this same issue occurs in the US.

Moisturising - yes, yes and yes. I have very dry, scaly skin (I'm black African). This is the first cream I'll use that moisturises without feeling like grease or oil. I also use coconut oil which moisturises but is glistening and oily and yet still leaves the skin scaly after a while. Cerave doesn't do that.
Also the way it absorbs is almost miraculous. No matter how much you put on, it absorbs within seconds BUT you can feel the moisturising effect.

Value/cost - It is expensive if you have to use it more than once a day. I only use it after bathing in the morning so the tub lasts about 1 month.

It has no scent which seems to be a plus to most people. I would have loved a scent... Something natural and fruity like melon, coconut or mango but this is a personal preference not a strike against the product. The company may look into making those options? For those who want to moisturise but still smell sweet :)

All round GREAT product.

I am currently on Roaccutain/Isotretinoin medication & it's drys my face out massively which is 1 of the side effects of the drug. I brought this cream to help with this problem and I have to say it's working great.

I had really hard, dry skin patches on my face, especially on the top of my nose & on my chin & now I don't have any dry areas whatsoever.

I also only apply it twice a day- morning & night & will continue to use it while I'm on my course of Isotretinoin.

It took roughly about a week to a week & a half to get rid of all the dry skin patches/area's on my face but what i also wanted was a moisturiser that doesn't clog your pours up & give you more spots if you suffer from acne as the last thing you want is more spots appearing because of the cream being highly thick & greasy.

I am extremely happy with this product and really do reccomend it if you suffer with moderate to severe dry skin.

I bought this Cerave Body moisturizing Cream, on Arrival I noticed the Seals were broken. I immediately contacted amazon and explained the situation. I then later bought the product from Boots and noticed that the cream had a different texture and had no smell. The one for from amazon had a distinct smell and looked more watery to the real one from boots. I immediately knew the Cerave cream from Amazon was Fake. Im just giving a heads up and letting you know DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IT IS FAKE! Amazon should take immediate action and remove this item.

I had stress triggered eczema on my eyelids and hands but after the first two uses of this, I saw a drastic change (and no discomfort for using it even on my eyes!). Now after 4 days of using this cream, my eczema has cleared up completely. It helped with the flakiness next to my lips since the weather keeps getting drier. I'm very happy with this product purchase - excellent value for money. A definite staple for the winter.
