Smells amazing

This is my favourite Baylis and Harding hand wash as the scent is absolutely gorgeous.
It’s a fruity, floral scent without being too sickly and I have to smell my hands every time I use it.
The bottle is nice and chunky so it’s very stable on a work surface and I find it stands on my sink a lot better than the thin ones, which just keep falling over.
The gold highlights on the screw top make it look a bit nicer than the plain plastic ones and the pump dispenses just the right amount.
I got them at an amazing price of less than £1 each, which is excellent value for a 500ml bottle.

I bought some of these in October 2020 and thought the smell wasn't as good as it used to be: less fresh, less lavender and more like dried grass. Also I noticed that it no longer had a silver and black pump but a cheap clear plastic one. We decided it was probably just the batch so used them and then bought some more in February 2021. These were just as bad so we sent them back for a refund. Baylis and Harding say that due to Coronavirus they're no longer made in the UK but instead they're getting them shipped over from China so what you get isn't fake but it is (in my opinion) an inferior product. I'm going to skip buying from B&H until I can smell them myself in store.

The items arrived in a timely manner and looked great, BUT....
they are not the same as the original product!
I don’t know if it’s watered down but the consistency is a lot thinner and the scent is lacking. It feels like it works - cleans my hands- but doesn’t feel the same, so it’s rather disappointing to be honest.
I had put this item on for subscription but have cancelled it. The search continues for affordable sustainable natural hand washing soap..

I had originally bought this at another retailer and the smell was absolutely divine. This one appears to be lower quality. The smell isn't the same, it's really not as great as I expected and payed for! The texture feels slightly different as well.

Does not seem genuine

I ordered 6 of the jasmine and 6 lavender ones as I’ve always loved the smell. These however smell very different from the ones I’ve used before, the lavender has a sickly smell which doesn’t feel genuine. The cap does not say ‘Baylis and Harding’ and the packaging also says made in China. The ones I’ve got from before have a silver or black pump cap which says their brand name and the bottle has a Union Jack and made in UK. I’m extremely disappointed as this product does not feel genuine to me.

There is no comparison to this product and good quality liquid soap, ie 'Pears'. The liquid is more of a thin gel quality and does not lather well, even neat! However if you like the dispenser and smell of the product it would be recommend to mix with for example another quality liquid, 'Pears' soap. The chrome dispenser mechanism was not smooth on this and they have changed the chrome for a basic cap that undermines the aesthetics. The chrome cap can always be fitted to the plain versions if needed and if one is found to work correctly. Overall a disappointment as a soap wash, seriously, compare this to Pears liquid soap and the difference is immediately noted.

This soap turns up in an aesthetically pleasing bottle. Unfortunately that is all it has going for it.

It is seriously poor quality and you need at least 6 squirts to be able to wash off basic things like chocolate, or when you've been cleaning the house.

I have had better results from other brands.

Gentle on the skin, one handed operation

One of the few liquid soaps that doesn't cause the skin on my knuckles to crack.
The smell isn't overpowering and doesn't linger for long so no complaints from the men in my house.
Foams well with our soft water
The bottle shape makes it very stable so no need to hold the bottle while using the pump.
The body is sturdy but flexible enough that it won't crack during use.
The pump is excellent, easy to press, doesn't spurt out missing your hand completely, or clog up, or drip. It's the usual twist the pump to release it from the locked down position, first time it's used.
The labelling is subtle and it doesn't look like a cheap plastic bottle of liquid soap.
500ml bottles so it lasts longer and creates less waste plastic. Top unscrews easily so you can add a bit of water to get the very last drops out. You could easily re-use the bottle for other liquids like washing-up-liquid.
This three pack comes shrink wrapped so no leaks in transit and so far has survived some truly awful packing by Amazon (squashed, thrown in with tins, and the classic loose in an enormous box) and in-transit damage

Such beautiful bottles! Great value for money as a multi-pack. Each bottle holds so much volume that you're sure not to be out of soap for at least a few months. Collectively there is 1.5l of hand soap.

The smell is pleasant but not overpowering. Very mild. Would buy again though. 🙂

Product smells Devine, was sent in good time, product looks very nice at the edge of a sink, the only thing is the product itself in terms of ‘suds’ it produces.. it takes more than a squirt and good wash to get some sudsy bubbles out of it, I really like a good hand soap that has creamy suds and with this I fall short of that satisfied feeling of lots of bubbles ... everything else about it is perfect though .. no reflection on the seller at all. If your not a very sudsy person then this is a perfect hand soap, none the less, it still cleans!
