It has 2 different styles, the normal one, and the easy-chair mode.
You can also have every single setting in-between, because it's a smooth slide action to get the position you want, and then stays there.

Here's your bonus tip:
Add a bit of velcro (the soft side on the back of your iPad) and you have the most amazing stand in the world alongside an iPad that won't fall out of said stand, even if you grab the whole thing by the iPad and walk (it's really light, but the metal feels extremely study. It doesn't wobble at all).

Good, if you only watch and don’t want to use a 10” + tablet in portrait mode

This seems to be a well built stand. It works well if you use a phone or a smaller tablet. There seem to be quite a few that look very similar and this one seems to be at the higher end of the price range.

It works fine if on a level surface, if you just want it to hold your tablet to watch a video etc. You can use/type etc on a 10” tablet in landscape mode on the stand. If you put the same tablet in portrait mode and touch near the top of the tablet the stand may start to tip backwards.

If you use a bigger tablet again landscape may be ok but portrait mode is much more likely to tip over if typing/touching the tablet near the top.

Part of the problem is there is no part of the stand at the back to stop it tipping. The other issue is that the stand base is so light it does not provide any counter weight for a 10”+ tablet in portrait mode.

I would have thought it would work much better if the base had a bit of weight to it or if there was some part of the stand that stopped it tipping backwards.

In summary, great if you want it to hold the tablet without you touching it much to watch a film etc, on a level surface. If you want to use/ type on a tablet, especially in portrait mode I would avoid. If just using for hands off video watching there are other items that look very similar at a cheaper price. They likely suffer the same hands on issue though.

I like this stand as before I was using all plastic stands which I brought for £1 in a post Christmas sale. This stand is a good size for my large and mini iPad and it fits my iPhone 6S Plus in landscape mode perfectly. It's easy to carry around the home with me and adjusts to a variety of viewing angles. It's well made and feels strong. I hope the adjustments I make to the viewing angle do not end up weakening the mechanism. It came with a small envelope of spare sticky pads too so you can apply those as necessary. Purchased in a Amazon Prime deal so I got it for a reasonable price. I would buy another in the future if I needed two.

I bought this for a 2018 iPad Pro 12" and it works fine with this, except, if you plan to use the screen of the iPad with touch, the weight of the iPad causes this stand to 'bounce' up and down. It was easily fixed by putting a box underneath the front cradle part, which fixed it, but I would suggest this item is better suited to smaller and lighter tablets. Not a fault - it was my fault for not checking properly.

Not Tablet in a case friendly

The build quality is excellent however, on my Samsung 10.1" tablet enclosed in a case the retaining lip is not deep enough. It does fit in but I am constantly watching to make sure it is not dropping out. The other concern is that the back rest is not long enough especially when using the tablet in "portrait" orientation.
Don't get me wrong, I do like this item, but cannot in all honesty recommend it to anyone who has a 10.1" Tablet enclosed in a case.
It would be better for 7 or 8" tablets or the bigger smart phones.

Competent stand - but thicker cases may cause an issue

It's a metal stand for your iPad that's reasonably stable, thin & strong. It holds my iPad Pro 2020 (with case on) reasonably well, though it's a tight squeeze where it grips along the bottom & it's hard to get it completely level as it doesn't naturally slide all the way in. I guess it's a good fit if you're not using a case, but be aware that thicker cases may render this stand useless.

Overall I'm pretty happy with it. It does the job & I picked it up when it was on a deal just before Christmas, so I can't complain.

I bought the new Lamicall tablet stand for use with my 12.9 inch IPad Pro. The build quality and design is good as always (I have two A1 stands).

However, I like to use my iPads in Portrait mode and because of the iPad's size I can't angle the screen back too far or it would overbalance. I know from experience that on smaller iPad it would be great and I can tip the screen back a good way, just not as far as with a smaller iPad.

Yes I would buy it again. :)

I bought this as I had started with posture problems from using a tablet. Since using this, whilst it may not be a cure all, it means I sit at a table in a better position and my neck doesn’t ‘click’ as much. The stand feels really good quality, sturdy and robust. Both my IPad mini and my husbands iPad fit it very well in landscape and portrait mode. The only slight (and I mean slight) issue is to get it to eye level when my neck is playing up more, I need to raise the stand up even more onto a box. Would recommend

A nice phone holder, it can take large mobiles, but can tip over easy if knocked, it's better for smaller phones, like Nokia or Samsung, I made the mistake getting this size for a blackview mobile, it still stands ok in stand, but prefer the bigger stand that holds tablets for sturdiness.

Well made and good looking stand. Initially it looks smaller in reality than the images suggest. Ideal for an iPad. Very stable and easy angle adjustment. Not very portable but if the base angle was not fixed presumably a second adjustable joint would have added to the cost and might have made the unit less robust. As it is it is ideal for my home environment and for Zoom/Facetime meetings. Much better than a box on top of a pile of books with the iPad slipping mid-meeting.
