It has 2 different styles, the normal one, and the easy-chair mode.
You can also have every single setting in-between, because it's a smooth slide action to get the position you want, and then stays there.

Here's your bonus tip:
Add a bit of velcro (the soft side on the back of your iPad) and you have the most amazing stand in the world alongside an iPad that won't fall out of said stand, even if you grab the whole thing by the iPad and walk (it's really light, but the metal feels extremely study. It doesn't wobble at all).

Good, if you only watch and don’t want to use a 10” + tablet in portrait mode

This seems to be a well built stand. It works well if you use a phone or a smaller tablet. There seem to be quite a few that look very similar and this one seems to be at the higher end of the price range.

It works fine if on a level surface, if you just want it to hold your tablet to watch a video etc. You can use/type etc on a 10” tablet in landscape mode on the stand. If you put the same tablet in portrait mode and touch near the top of the tablet the stand may start to tip backwards.

If you use a bigger tablet again landscape may be ok but portrait mode is much more likely to tip over if typing/touching the tablet near the top.

Part of the problem is there is no part of the stand at the back to stop it tipping. The other issue is that the stand base is so light it does not provide any counter weight for a 10”+ tablet in portrait mode.

I would have thought it would work much better if the base had a bit of weight to it or if there was some part of the stand that stopped it tipping backwards.

In summary, great if you want it to hold the tablet without you touching it much to watch a film etc, on a level surface. If you want to use/ type on a tablet, especially in portrait mode I would avoid. If just using for hands off video watching there are other items that look very similar at a cheaper price. They likely suffer the same hands on issue though.

Good quality, well made. Was really happy with it at first, then I had problems with the stability of the stand. My ipad has toppled over at least 10 times since I've been using it.

It works great as a stand, I use my ipad sometimes for creative work with an Apple pen and Procreate. I now put a heavyish book on top of the base so that it keeps it weighed down. It's helped a lot as I'd been getting neck pain from leaning over my ipad on the desk so much.

It's great for watching video tutorials and cooking, just like a traditional book stand. This was a game changer for me as it saves space instead of using a clunky laptop.

Overall I am really happy, just wish I didn't have a heart attack everytime my ipad topples over. This is due to the stand not being heavy enough to hold down the weight of the ipad. Something to think about for creators. One day I might not be so lucky and I just know that my ipad will smash on the floor... so I'm living quite a risky lifestyle here.

Wobbles when used

Used with iPad Pro 12.9”, the stand wobbles back and forth whilst using the iPad. The materials used are to thin to accommodate this size of device despite making claims on Amazon.

Also found that due to low ground clearance any third party USB C cable I use other than supplied Apple cable won’t fit when in portrait orientation. Even tilting the stand doesn’t help, it’s too low for non Apple cables. Even the images the company have taken show the stand tilted back to accommodate the charge cable.

Looks good and holds the iPad in situ as described but the finish of the product is very poor. The edges of the metal stand are sharp as a razor and cuts into the skin when you hold the base to adjust the tilt-need to be wearing gloves to protect the fingers! Wouldn’t recommend it if you got delicate hands.

Really good and sturdy I would have easily given it 5 star if it wasn’t for the bottom. It can and will scratch a wooden surface if your not careful with it. If it had a rubber bottom it would have been prefect. Still worth a buy tho as it’s solid and haven’t had any issues apart from that

The stand is beautifully made but unfortunately it's a little lightweight or maybe just too small for the iPad pro 12.9"

it holds the item ok but you have to be Very careful if poking the iPad anywhere but the bottom 3rd of the screen as it's not very stable and will tip over quite easily.

maybe on future versions you could move the hinge higher up the iPad to allow for a more stable support?

It's OK but is not very robust to be held on the knee or arm of a chair. It works well on a table but since my husband likes to use his iPad at night in front of the TV, it did not work well either on his knee or the arm of the chair and kept falling over. Would not recommend it for that particular reason. Did consider sending it back but I now use it on the dining room table and will get my husband something else more sturdy.

Bought this specifically for an Ipad 12.9 pro in a case which of course becomes a bit heavy . the stand is ok if the tablet is landscape at an angle but Position the tablet near to horizontal and it becomes unstable , whether a case is on the ipad pro or not . If you want the Ipad 12.9pro portrait you cannot go past 45degrees it becomes very unstable . all of these various stands available on the market are just too small . BUT i found a solution,Turn it upside down and open the hinge , you then have a perfect stand to use on the bed or a desktop , and also more sturdy than the way it was intended , it can take the weight of an Ipad pro with a case

The unit was delivered on time (next day during pandemic) and was well packaged.

It's a sturdy stand and nicely finished, however, it has one fault. When you have a table in an almost upright position, the height of the "shelf" is too low and the length of the lightening cable connector and cable prevents the tablet sitting comfortably. You have to have the tablet facing at a 95/100 degree angle or more for it to sit properly in the stand - that makes positioning of your tablet for video calling awkward.

For that reason, I'm giving the product an average versatility rating. It has a problem stopping it from doing what you want it to do that could be simply overcome with a small redesign to give it a bit more height.
