It has 2 different styles, the normal one, and the easy-chair mode.
You can also have every single setting in-between, because it's a smooth slide action to get the position you want, and then stays there.

Here's your bonus tip:
Add a bit of velcro (the soft side on the back of your iPad) and you have the most amazing stand in the world alongside an iPad that won't fall out of said stand, even if you grab the whole thing by the iPad and walk (it's really light, but the metal feels extremely study. It doesn't wobble at all).

Good, if you only watch and don’t want to use a 10” + tablet in portrait mode

This seems to be a well built stand. It works well if you use a phone or a smaller tablet. There seem to be quite a few that look very similar and this one seems to be at the higher end of the price range.

It works fine if on a level surface, if you just want it to hold your tablet to watch a video etc. You can use/type etc on a 10” tablet in landscape mode on the stand. If you put the same tablet in portrait mode and touch near the top of the tablet the stand may start to tip backwards.

If you use a bigger tablet again landscape may be ok but portrait mode is much more likely to tip over if typing/touching the tablet near the top.

Part of the problem is there is no part of the stand at the back to stop it tipping. The other issue is that the stand base is so light it does not provide any counter weight for a 10”+ tablet in portrait mode.

I would have thought it would work much better if the base had a bit of weight to it or if there was some part of the stand that stopped it tipping backwards.

In summary, great if you want it to hold the tablet without you touching it much to watch a film etc, on a level surface. If you want to use/ type on a tablet, especially in portrait mode I would avoid. If just using for hands off video watching there are other items that look very similar at a cheaper price. They likely suffer the same hands on issue though.

Man this thing has fallen over due to the weight of having my iPad Pro 12.9”. You can only have it at one angle to ensure that it’s sort of going to be ok, which renders the versatility of moving the angle useless. iPad fell from holder to table to floor and I’m not going to use it again

Not good for my iPad

It just doesn't work for my iPad despite it being one of the compatible models. It's really small and wobbly, and my iPad in a case causes it to fall over completely and doesn't really fit! Without the case (which I'm not going to take off every time I want to put it on the stand), it still feels really insecure and wobbly to use

This product features needless branding, which ruins the aesthetic totally for me: the Lamicall logo and the name of the product is printed on the upside of the base, so is always visible. Also, the bottom of the section which holds the phone is too low to comfortably fit a usb wire, so it's not possible to charge the phone at a sensible angle whilst it's on the stand.

Item is defective / not level! Placed my iPad in it and something didn't sit right, literally! it is not level.

I thought it was my eyes to start with but after grabbing a small spirit level my suspicions were correct it leans slightly to the left.

I was going to try and bend the metal but looking at the item it is down to where the Metal Hinge is & thats not going to bend its quite a thick strong hinge.

Would not recommend due to build quality, defect.

The item is well made and the hinge is sufficiently tight enough to hold a tablet without it moving, but easy enough to move it to the desired position.
My issue with this is that the formed lower bracket is rubbish, it is in no way the shape of any tablet I have ever seen and therefore doesn't hold it properly.

Smaller than shown in photos for a standard Ipad

The photos in portrait mode show an ipad with half of the back covered width and height wise. This is clearly an ipad mini in the photos. The reality is a much, much smaller back coverage, making this less stable for a standard full sized ipad. The official product dimensions also don't match those in the description on the photos. I feel misled.

Stand itself is a nice design and good materials. The one I received seems to have been opened and had scratches on one of the sides. Also the sticker pads have been stuck on bent making the product look cheap. Quite disappointed.
