Goes on matte but needs blotting later

Positives:
+ Sprays on matte
+ Easy to apply - encourages reapplication (important!)
+ Does not disrupt make up
+ Hyaluronic acid is a great moisturiser, you'll need it in the sun!

Negatives:
- By the end pf the day I found my skin was much greasier than normal
- Although it seemed fine for my eyes at first, eventually it did start to sting if I rubbed my eyes
- Only three star UVA protection, generally 4 stars is recommended

Summary:
If you wear make up and/or tend to be lazy about reapplying, I recommend using this spray. Later in the day you will have to blot and you will have to take care not to rub your eyes when you're tired. Bearing in mind that reapplying sunscreen is often overlooked, these are small compromises to ensure you're properly protected.

Tip:
This sunscreen is great value for the face, but body mists are cheaper/larger bottles. Use this one for the face and find a cheaper mist for the body, where you don't need the mattifying element so much.

I bought this sun screen spray to apply over my makeup as a top up during the day and to set my face makeup. I usually wear another suncream underneath my makeup.
Im asian-tan skin.Very mild acne. Very sensitive and prone to hypermigmentation and sunspots. I wear suncream all year round.

Unfortunately my usual suncream had run out (I buy online as it's very difficult for me to find a reasonably priced suncream that doesn't leave a white cast or break me out) So I did not have an extra protection for about 2 weeks. My foundation has spf20 and then I was using this as added protection ontop.

PROS:
No White-cast
Easy to Apply over make up
Light weight
Did not break me out like other suncreams
Reasonably priced per ml compared to La Roche Posay/ Avene/Eucerine sun spray mists.

It did 'set' my makeup somewhat. And definitely did not seem to break me out. However, I do not feel I can't rely on this solely as a sun protection. The two weeks I had used this without my usual suncream, I developed hyper pigmentation on my forehead and 2 sun spots on my nose. I have an oily t-zone so I'm guessing this just sweated-off.

CONS:
Not Sweat Proof/waterproof
Runs out quickly (I had about 2.5 weeks daily use of 2-3 times a day)
Unreliable sun protection on it's own
Cannot tell if all areas have been sprayed properly as there is little/no wet mist.

You can't tell if you've applied it correctly. I spray it about 10-15cm all over my face and neck. But you can't really feel anything or see anything.
It's ok for topping up during the day over your makeup. But do not rely on it on it's own. It's a good concept, but the actual spa element could be improved. I will not buy again and look for alternatives.

Oh dear. This seemed such a good idea.; to be able to spray and protect your face from sun, as and when, with a handbag sized product sounds great! But in practice this just doesn’t work for me. I carefully followed the instructions, closed eyes, and sprayed. For about an hour all was good and the product wasn’t too greasy and felt ok on my skin. However, an hour later my eyes began to sting and water and this hasn’t stopped after 6 hours. In fact it’s getting worse! It’s almost inevitable that some will get into the eyes but I was fooled by the ‘sensitive’ label. I daren't put this stuff anywhere near my face again. Good luck to others who try it!

Honestly I should have expected this given the product is £5 but still, I expected more.

I purchased this about a week ago and I'm already halfway through the canister because the coverage is virtually nonexistent to the degree you have to put loads on your face. It also absolutely stinks, everytime I use it I have to leave the room because, like spray on deoderant, it has such a horrible stench and lingers in the air - the first time I used it I coughed to hard I almost threw up. It also will get in your eyes and is incredibly painful.
I also don't know why this has 'can be applied over makeup' written in such huge letters - DO NOT DO THIS, your makeup will start to disintegrate and run off of your face.

I was hoping this would be a dupe for la roche posay but its not and its genuinely the worst sunscreen product I've ever used.

Leaves white marks on your skin

I came across this on a list for best over-makeup sun protection. I was delighted with the price and small size, making it easy to transport and top up throughout the day.

However, I've been disappointed to notice that it doesn't dry into my skin but leaves white dots. As the spray is quite wide, it also covers the front of my hair, making it greasy, my ears and neck also get covered in the suncream and dry in white spots. As it's an over-makeup spray, I do try to resist rubbing it too much so it doesn't ruin my makeup when it's done. Overall, I would not recommend it.

Also, the first time I put it on, there was a stinging or burning sensation on my face for a prolonged number of seconds which is concerning.

Splotches over my makeup

I don't know why this product is so poor, I tried using on two separate occasions and ended up with white crusty splotches of dried sun lotion visible over my makeup. You couldn't see this until it dried, so luckily I tried it out at home and hadn't immediately gone out before I noticed as it looked so awful. Could maybe use as a base but I would recommend spreading out with your fingers to make sure its evenly covered and no crusty bits allowed to appear when dried. Sceptical of how well the coverage is if only used as a spray on top as the mist wasn't that good not fine enough to spread evenly. Don't recommend unfortunately.

Irritates eyes

This was pretty good at drying not too shiny and not feeling too greasy. However, after a few hours of wear it must've melted on my face and gotten into my eyes, so they were streaming for the rest of the day until I could get somewhere to wash everything off properly. I applied avoiding the eye area but this was still an issue. Extra sneaky because it lulled me into a false sense of security for the first few hours.

I've not been successful at all in getting this to come out as a fine mist. It just sprays thick blobs onto my face and I end up looking like Casper the friendly ghost has sneezed on me. And then I can't rub it in because I'm wearing makeup, obviously. There are better products out there.

Very tiny bottle! Which is a plus for your hand bag but not for your wallet I guess. It’s impossible not to get this in your eye realistically, if you sweat from your scalp or forehead, it will run into your eye, and when that happens GOOD LUCK. I had to rinse my eye with milk in the end. Finally some relief.
