My daughter and I suffer from a rare inflammatory bone condition. As it's rare, treatment is all hit and miss. Watching my daughter in pain and knowing the doctors can't offer any more is a parent's nightmare. We tried the most expensive CBD's, conventional medicine, and numerous other snake oil products on the market. We decided to give the Paingone pen ago, with the reassurance we could return it to amazon if the results were unsatisfactory.
As with anything new, my daughter was nervous about trying this new stun gun device (I'm joking it's not a stun gun but gives an electrical charge that you can see if held away from the skin). I tried the device first on my lower back, I was surprised by the relief it gave. It initially feels like a small pinprick and the intensity gets more the longer you leave it. To be clear, there is no physical sharp end but just the sensation the device gives. You can even use it over clothes. The instructions recommend 30 seconds at a time but I felt removing it when it felt uncomfortable was the best practice (not exceeding the 30 seconds on the same spot). The relief lasts around 2 hours. Anyone that suffers from chronic pain will appreciate 2 hours is a godsend when nothing else works.
As I suffer from arthritis in my hands I felt holding down the button on top of the device a little difficult and perhaps a slight change in design could be made on the next model. Also, be aware, but don't be alarmed, the device will leave in most circumstances a small red dot. This didn't bother me and cleared within a couple of days. My daughter also uses this now with my assistance and she now requests the 'pen' over her prescribed meds.
I wouldn't normally leave a review but wanted to reassure those sitting on the fence to give it a go. If you purchase from Amazon, remember you can always return, but I'll be keeping mine. Please give my review a like if my review has helped, thanks, Paul.
