Great Nostalgia .. but Crash has no sense of gravity

It’s Crash!! This is great just for Nostalgia and now my daughter is growing up, she’s 5yrs old she is in love with him too.

I must say though I don’t remember it being so difficult?! I don’t feel like the controls have been mimicked very well, jumping and trying to land without falling down a hole is incredibly difficult... one of the levels is a pure bridge jumping across the slats and I had to send my daughter out the room so I could shout at Crash what a ‘C u next Tuesday’ he has turned into and consider smashing the tv with the controller in a blinding rage each time the mask said game over!

A solid remaster of Naughty Dog’s challenging platform classic.

The visual remaster of these three Crash games fails to disappoint. It’s visually stunning. So stunning in fact, some fans adopted Vicarious Visions’ use of the term ‘rebuilt’ in place of ‘remastered,’ which was possibly a lawyer’s dodge to avoid giving Naughty Dog any visible credit for actually making the games back in the 90s, but still.

The levels, the progression, and the fight to win each and every last crystal or barrel are just as enjoyable and infuriating as ever before. It has fantastic nostalgic value, but it’s hard to move past the fact I (just like 2 decades ago) found myself wanting to throw my controller at the TV as often as pat myself on the back. 20 years later, I still don’t know whether the eventual success is worth the rage I endured to get there.

Still, well done to Vicarious Visions for affording us the opportunity to relive Naught Dog’s tremendous platform classic through this recoloured and sharpened rerelease.

For any of you who played this game when you were kids, be prepared to get your butt kicked. I remember this game being pretty easy.... ITS NOT! Its so much fun though, has nostalgia bursting through it, and would be a great buy for anyone, even if they didn't play it when it was first released. would recommend!

There is a glitch on the last but one boss :(
This is easily avoided by not squirting green gloop at the Dr too fast.
Shooting his potion gloop back at him too fast will cause a glitch

An up to date version of crash bandicoot. I believe it is exactly the same as the original 3 games but with the graphics up to date for the ps4. Was never the biggest crash fan, but it is a good laugh and enjoyable family fun.

Fantastically remastered Crash Bandicoot series evokes a lot of nostalgia for the Playstation era, where games were developed with love and have, unfortunately, become superseded by the barrenness of endless space marine-themed first person shooters.

The only detrimental aspect of this game so far is that the loading times seem to be a tad excessive.
