I lurrrve this paper...

My 'thing' is paper. And pens. I like pens too. One day I will become the next chief of Staples so I can stroke the paper and sniff the pens all day.

So, being a bit of a paper connoisseur, I want to say that this ream of loveliness surpasses my requirements for an everyday (but jolly well decent) paper. I used another brand for many years thinking it was the brightest white out there. Only when I bought this one, putting them side-by-side made my old one look pink! That won't do.

I love my new paper. Very much.

First pack ok... after that complete rubbish

I bought this paper a while ago and was really happy with the first (top) pack in the box. Once using the next packs the paper continually jammed in the printer and I have wasted so much paper and ink. I have found the problem - the paper is glued together at the top!!!! How ridiculous - this is not a notebook but a printer paper. I tried the 3rd, 4th and 5th packs and they were the same. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but it has driven me to despair.

I have now given up and bought paper from a different supplier. I have always been happy with Amazon Basics products until now.

The picture attached shows a few sheets glued together (my daughter took the photo after trying to print unsuccessfully).

The only way we could use this paper now is to separate every single sheet and remove the glue from the top of the pages (which leaves the paper a little creased, which again doesn't help with feeding through a printer).

The first pack in the box did was great. But one out of five packs being great is not good enough... hence the one star review.

This paper, in my humble opinion, is fantastic. It's excellent quality and very inexpensive. Certainly the best quality 'cheap' paper I have ever bought.
Update: Just finished the first pack and now started on the second. Don't know why but it's jamming in 2 different printers that I have. Switched to some better quality paper without any problems. Seems as though different packs can be a bit hit and miss.

I was a little hesitant purchasing Amazon budget paper- but just bought 2 boxes so if I was disappointed I could just use it up and it wouldn't be too big of an issue- but this paper is amazing!! its literally the best you will get for the money you pay.

I expected maybe a thin sheet- with a yellow tone which can be the case with cheap paper buts its a good weight and its brilliant white.

I use in a HP printer (one of those big office ones with the fax, scanner etc) and it goes through the printer without any issues.

I've been using this for 2 weeks and its not blocked the printer once- I'll be buying more

Our old printer somewhat demanded heavy paper or threw a wobbly so it was 90gsm all the way, but its recently been retrired and new laserjet takes pretty much anything without a fuss. Nowt wrong with this 80gsm...does the trick and havent had any issues, but It is noticably thinner than any other of this grade i have used. Thats kind of a good and bad really, as for inhouse stuff, not an issue and thins my filing a tad...but for outgoing letters, does feel a bit cheapy. Although it was a boxed ream of five, still somehow had few rips on the individual packets. Lost a few pages here and there because of it but not enough to bother me much. I'm in two minds about buying the paper again mind. I understand its a 'basics' line, but given its not too far off pricing compared to premium branded stuff, it proabably should be better quality or cheaper in price

Excellent value for money. Don't be fooled by the 'AmazonBasics' branding. There is no compromise on quality at all. At 80gsm, the paper is of decent thickness. 90gsm is the best all rounder in my opinion, but considering the price, one cannot really fault this paper.

Does Not PRINT LIKE 80gsm Paper

Very flimsy, does not look or feel like a 80gsm paper, looks as if water has got to it, not flat, ruffled all over the place.
My Brother will not print with this paper at all, jams every time I have tried to print with it. Have got other 80gsm paper and this paper prints like a dream, no problems at all so far. With this 80gsm paper, I would say that the one supplied by Amazon is about 60gsm.
Could not and Would not recommend this paper to anyone EVER.

What's good about this? Speed of delivery. I ran out of paper and really needed to print a 72 page document with no time to pop to the shops. No problem same day delivery which is excellent. But the quality itself is terrible. I have had this printer for a year or two and suffered very occasional paper jams - it just took me over an hour to print my 72 page document as I had paper jam after paper jam. Don't know why - paper seems fine and it could well be my printer hates it but it's fair to say I won't buy it again and will be happy when I have retrieved all the bits caught up in the printer with tweezers - in hindsight I could have saved some time by going to the local shop. Live and learn............It's a brother printer if that helps anyone else.
