The cream is very thick and takes a while to rub in and absorb into the skin. I used it on a very inflamed and itchy insect bite. Initially I thought it was working as the insect bite definitely reduced in size and inflammation, but then it felt like it was burning and stinging the skin. I tried a second application which again improved the insect bite however later that day and over the next couple of days the skin where I used the cream was red, inflamed and incredibly itchy. I immediately stopped using the cream and the next day this subsided. So I would avoid if you have sensitive skin as it causes an allergic reaction and although it might help a bite it actually makes things worse!

I work with horses daily and suffer very bad reactions to horse fly bites in the spring. This product has been my life saver for many many years. I keep a tube of Antisan on me at all times during the bad months and as soon as I notice the sting (they are silent so you never notice until it is too late) I apply the cream. If it is done within a few minutes of the sting then the lump is usually not itchy at all and gone within a few hours. By comparison without this, I have had my arm swell up to about 30% bigger and the lump remains for over 4 months..... An average spring day with the horses I can get 5+ stings while working in shorts and t-shirt and without this, i would need to always be covered up or give it up.
It works for lots of other bites, stings and rashes as well so Antisan is my go-to cream for life in the country.
Cant recommend it enough.

I'm covered in flea bites (2 large cats and hot weather). Currently busy de-flea-ing cats & house. My own flea bites have itched to glory, including sleepless nights. This cream stopped the itching. Didn't "cure" anything - it can't - but is certainly does the job as regards itching. Have bought another tube as a spare. Can't say better than that as regards fleas. Will be taking on holiday in future for bites acquired abroad from assorted nasties, e.g. sand flies from seaweed.

This stuff is amazing. I have been diagnosed with contact dermatitis. The doctors have prescribed four different ointments or creams. None have worked. Also prescribed antibiotics and steroid creams. The bites became quickly flattened and smaller too. It worked like magic! I take one of the strongest anti-histamines, Fexofenadine Hydrochloride 180mg, daily as highly allergic, but that does not stop the itchy bites and this cream does! Great Price Too! Good for swelling reduction

I seem to really attract mozzies and when I do get bitten the bites usually swell up to the size of a golf ball.

Bought this for a trip to Asia and my bites didn't swell up to anywhere near this size! I wouldn't say the cream helps 100% with the itching, but it seems to alleviate it a bit when you first put it on, but then the itching slowly comes back. Saying this, on a jungle trek I got bitten 13 times in one sitting (even though I had loads of spray on!!) and I don't think I would have gotten any sleep after if it wasn't for applying this cream many times throughout the night.

Definitely a good option if you're prone to bites!

I got several nasty gnat bites after going for a walk in a field. I'm very allergic to gnat bites and the itch and burn was driving me crazy. I thought I would give this a try. It works really well on the itch and after applying it 2-3 times a day it was a sweet relief and my bites healed quickly as I wasn't tempted to scratch them anymore.

I am prone to being bitten by midges or gnats depending on how you know them. If I spend a large amount of time outside in the evening, you can guarantee the little blighters will get me. They always go for my inner thighs for some reason.
Now I am a big guy and my thighs are thick, so how the hell they manage to bite me there is anyones guess. Just lately they seem to be getting me a bit to frequently, and I’m constantly scratching myself silly each time.
I had finally had enough one evening and decided to order this cream, hoping it will ease the insufferable itching. Having prime meant it came the next day and boy was I glad. With this cream a small amount goes a long way, so even though the tube is small, it will definitely last a while. But be warned, the tube has a lot of pressure in it. As soon as you pierce the foil cap using the top of the lid, the cream does start pushing itself out of the tube at first. So be quick and get the lid back on, otherwise you will end up with far more cream than you originally needed. Once you have a applied the cream to the bite/sting it literally takes only a minute before you feel the relief. The itching subsides that fast it’s a life saver.
So for the sake of a few pounds do yourself a favour, and buy this. You sanity and your skin will thank you!
